One of the all-time greatest individual performances after such a gut-wrenching emotional loss -- I don't know if I could even function, let alone go out and destroy an entire pro football team singlehandedly. I still think the 2012 Ravens are the most overlooked Super Bowl team. That entire season was like a movie for them. Art Modell’s death before the season, this game, Ray Lewis’s injury and return for the playoffs for one last ride, Suggs not playing until week 7. It was the most roller coaster ride season I’ve ever seen, and in my view the greatest playoff run of all time.

    • @josh36047

      BF Network Eagles had two home games, a bye week, and a completely healthy roster with the exception of Wentz. The only real “upset” they had was in the Super Bowl. Ravens had to go into Denver as 11 point underdogs and into New England as a 9 point underdog and won both of those games, with the greatest QB postseason run of all time, AND their greatest player retiring.

    So many people forgot about how dominant of a deep ball receiver Smith was early in his career, he was about as dominant as anyone in the game. I remember when I used to be a patriot hater and was watched this game in awe as to how someone could not only play, but dominate a game after something so tragic, his brother was definitely with him on the field that night

    • @darkchocolate3390
      @darkchocolate3390 6 лет назад +20

      This is what made Flacco so good. A good possesion receiver in Boldin, a deep ball threat in Torrey, reliable TE play with Dickson(when he could catch) and Dennis Pitta. a fantastic running game with Ray Rice. Hopefully we can get back to this formula this year in 2018-2019 with Crabtree, Brown/Moore, Alex Collins and Hurst/Andrews

    • @callumgardiner586
      @callumgardiner586 6 лет назад +14

      You forgot the fact he was in a contract year, like he is now, when you combine that with the Lamar Jackson draft, Flacco has no excuse not to be motivated. The 2015 Broncos showed that a great defense can carry sub-par QB play to a Super Bowl. It will also help them that the Bengals and Browns are in a rebuilding state and the Steelers defense was abysmal late last year without Shazier.

    He left baltimore for virginia at 1:30am, which is a 4 hour drive one way. He probably spent from 6am, to 1pm with his family, drove back to Baltimore and arrived at 5pm, to check in, warm up and prepare, and play at 8:15pm that same night. Amazing dedication from this man. Without a doubt, Tevin was watching. RIP.

    What a role model - a hero on and off the field - The NFL is better for having this decent amazing young man - I am proud to be from Baltimore and having had many wonderful Sundays cheering for all but especially Torrey Smith - God bless him and his beautiful family now and always.

    I started taking drama classes today. I had a scene where I had to show emotion. I couldn't do it. The teacher gave me all these memories to pull up. Nothing worked! I come home and watch this video. I found tears running down my face before it knew it. Just wanted to watch a football story. Now I'm gonna watch this again before my next class because it seems to work.

    Goosebumps all over, and tears in my eyes after that first TD. I still remember this game like it was yesterday, I needed to add a wide receiver for my fantasy team, and I was debating on picking up Torrey off the waiver wire because I thought maybe he'd play with extra motivation, but I didn't know. Long story short, I didn't pick him up, moral of the story: NEVER underestimate the power of someone whose playing for someone, I've seen people play on a a different level when they play for someone after a loss. Playing a game, any game for the glory of God and a tribute to someone you love, is a beautiful thing. God bless everyone who reads this, may you all cherish the simple moments with loved ones.

People seem to forget how Ted Ginn Jrs career was falling before he came to carolina and caught 10 tds then was seen as a legit threat. Mark my words Torrey Smith will have over at least 600-700 yards hopefully double digit tds tbh
