Omg! Ive had a comfort plushie that Ive had since I was 4! I take her everywhere with me, even to school at times! I keep her in my bag and I hold her arm when I need comforting 😊😊
Thankfully, my family is generally plushie-friendly! A couple of them conspired at Christmas to get me a giant moth plush (plus a tiny one to live in my go-everywhere bag!) and it made me so happy. :)
I bought myself a plushie at age 24. I still have 3 of my my childhood plushies, but they live on a shelf to be safe from wear and tear, so for this new era of life I got a new buddy who sleeps in my bed every night. ❤
I love giving mine really odd names for a plush. I have a giant sloth named Richard, a whale named Gerald, and a reversible orca/dolphin named Alexander/Griselda.
There was an age where people said I was too old. I think it was around 10? In high school I brought my Teddy for support and never stopped. Since then, no one (except some bio fam) has said I'm too old for stuffies. The rebranding as a "support stuffie" and thus an accessibility item definitely helps.
Both my boss and my husband got me plushies for my birthday without me asking. They both picked out meaningful ones that moved me to tears. Those were good birthdays. I'm 35. 🤗🧸💕
I just got a weighted dino plushie, and i think there was a warning against walloping on the tag. She's a hefy girl, only to be weaponized against thebmost dastardly of ne'er-do-wells! 🦖
yes, but only the medium/big/LARGE ones because they're the perfect size for cudding! especially my giant stuffed Toucan(Mr. Pebbles) that is like 3/4th my size(i am 5'5")
I still sleep with the teddy i had since i was basically newborn. It had been my older sister's and i stole him haha. Hes like,, 22 years old now. Falling apart though. I want to send him to one of those teddy repair people but im afraid theyd change the texture or the feel of him because he also has a broken music box inside him (been broken for longer than i can remember)
Nice job haha , i throw garlic on people when they make me feel insecure or nervous . Must try haha A friend told me i dont need my big t-rex plush so i took garlic and throw it to him He was disapointed i said : thats how you made me feel 😅
That plushie is so cute though! I’m 39 and my sister bought me a giant pink Mumuso kitty cat with a grumpy face for my birthday last year. It’s been so long since someone gave me a stuffy. I hug and cuddle that thing when it’s bedtime. I find it sooooo comforting and calming 😂❤
