1. If Mac goes bad, a minor component failure, it would cost half of the cost of the whole laptop. 2. Mac cant do simple tasks of merging a folder while copying/moving files. 3. OS upgrade issues (hardware failure) are also available on Mac. 4. You are comparing cheaper with superior featured Windows laptop with average featured Mac laptop. 5. Now, mostly gaming windows laptops has bulky chargers. 6. Upgradeability, repairablity is on toss with Mac
1. Depends on the repair shop. I don’t think anybody( windows user) goes to the brand service centre for repairs after warranty period . 2. Mac can do a lot of simple tasks, try it😜 3. Are u kidding, updates on mac is very regular and on time. Not like windows, in every 30 days there is blue screen error. 4. Just compare Macbook air M1(85k rs) with any other windows laptop of same budget. 5. And if ur talking about high end windows laptops, then how many of them have upgradeabilit?? Dell Xps, Hp spectra?
@@Sauravpathak79-ky9hp its not called ranting, this is also a serious concern for the people who can afford macs considering how costly and time consuming the repair is, price to performance is only valid for the air as no windows laptop is good in that range, otherwise windows has pretty good laptops in dell precision, xps, lenovo yoga slim etc

But windows pc are best bcoz we can get paid software for free Which is a money saving thing and it is one and one point which makes windows pc better than mac
Exclusive software for engineering can work in Windows favor. Lenovo Thinkpads and Dell XPS build quality is quite there. I have an 8 year old thinkpad and it works like a charm. Productivity apps like Microsoft office suite is more powerful in Windows. Portability, lol. The parts that I have not included definitely favors Macbook.
@@niravarora9887 8 years is nothing. I have Macs from 1998 that still look and work like new. My 2011 MacBook Pro looks brand new. Mac's free iWork suite trashes Microsoft Office, it does things Ms Office can only dream of, and it isn't rentware that rapidly makes PCs more expensive than a Mac..
2:26 isn't the laptop you are comparing here half the price of the m1 Mac? 8:20 i think this point is lame since Mac is sold only by one Company whereas there are 10s of companies that make windows laptop. It also caters to separate audiences like gamers, working professionals to meet their usecases. Being a Mac users I think some of the points mentioned here were just added to make 10 points. It only makes sense to compare it with a Dell XPS or similar kind of laptop rather than laptops that are half the price like Realme and Acer 7. The one reason why the Mac is my favorite product in the Apple ecosystem is that it's one of the least restrictive products. Mac OS allows way more freedom compared to iOS and iPadOS and it makes a big difference.
This is exactly what I was thinking while watching this video and have left a similar comment, that they should have included the XPS laptops and that the reasons shown in this video aren't really the pros of having a MacBook.
You don't compare MacBook vs Windows. You either compare "MacBook vs Legion" OR "MacBook vs Predator" OR "MacBook vs Nitro" or "MacBook vs Surface" OR "MacBook vs Galaxy Book" OR something similar. Likewise, you compare macOS vs Windows. And also, when you compare macOS with Windows, make sure you take hardware of similar levels, don't compare 2.5 lacs MacBook Pro with any average budget Windows laptop. Dude is comparing 45k laptop with the laptop of minimum 100k price (around 2:35) for its keyboard, drivers and all. I'm not talking about the results, who wins - who loses is completely subjective, and I don't care who uses what, but at least have a basis of comparison on fair ground.
hahah ! preach homie my laptop is a m1 macbook and a msi gl75 and a i5 mac my phone is a oneplus 9 my tablet is a ipad 7th gen and ive got a custom built gaming computer which has an r9 and a rtx 3070ti and my smartwatch is a samsung galaxy watch 6 classic
I like this. Macbook pro is undisputed the best laptop for working. But buying an Apple product doesn't mean you have to buy all of them even if they are not good. 😊
I love how 7 of the reasons were just based on the fact that windows has like 100 options for laptops with some bad apples and mac has like 3 options with none bad apples
I agree with you but most of what you said is hardware related like resell value. Its not macos feature, neither is the build quality is macos feature. Asus rog, stricks, dell xps, all these premium laptop has excellent build qualities. Even my hp elite book has a similar build if not better .. Accessories, again a hardware thing. Yeah i know they are apple features but not macos x feature. And all the other things you mentioned are nit picks. Like default software. But yeah, battery life is a strong point.. And compare dell xps, it has an awesome Battery life.. And yours comparison laptops price is are way too less.. Like mac book air starts at 1 lakh something, or close to it. Don't compare it with real me which costs less than half. And dude did i just hear you saying that having options is bad.. Comeon... 🙄 And yeah, fyi I am using mac book air for last five year as my personal laptop and HP elitebook as my work laptop for past 2 years. Tbh, you could have used more valid points like mac os is way more polished, its crashes less.. Its is more reliable, these things. The points you mentioned are debatable at best .. Not all but most.. But thank you. Appreciate the video..
7:45 that is an advantage actually You have so many option like designs, specification according to the buyers budget and many more. If mac book is the only option, not everyone would be able to afford it. This is also a reason why there is so many options so that everyone and find the one which makes them satisfied the most.
3:10 "there is no option on windows" so apple is better because it gives 'OPTIONS' with the ecosystem 7:45 "it is so confusing to have many devices" so apple is better as it has only a few "OPTIONS". It is good when apple gives options which make you spend more and replace multiple probably perfectly working devices with new apple products costing crazy amounts while it is bad when windows offers slightly cheaper laptops for people on a tight budget and expensive beasts for people who might want to game without any extra costs. It is $1000+1000+1000+1000 for apple while $200/$1200 for windows. Most fair review in ohio 💀
Instead of comparing range of windows laptops to some macbooks, it would have been fairer if you would have selected few windows laptops designed for similar purpose and similar target audience to the macbook.

True, man! I mean, except for other blind Apple fanboys, these kinds of comparisons further degrade even Macs because that's all they can compare, to feel superior
There are some things like battery, speakers, etc where comparing a Mac with a gaming laptop doesn't make sense. Also the Acer laptop costs less than 50k. Talking about portability, you need to carry dongles with Mac while travelling but you don't need extra dongles in windows laptops, they have enough USB ports with dedicated ports for charging, ethernet and HDMI
Had I not been a gamer I would've gone for a MacBook Air M1. The battery life and stability is alluring. But then I'd have to learn an entirely new OS which would get in the middle of productivity. I am using both windows laptop as well as MacBook pro. And I can say my 3-4 years old windows machine (mi imported from china ) works better than MacBook pro 2years old. I cannot keep MacBook pro running for more than a week or two otherwise it gets power hungry and runs on battery only for an hour to 1.5h , my windows laptop experience is stable (always power hungry) so never need to restart unless I want to install any updates which needs restart . For lighter stuff like web browsing and word excel etc you may find MacBook sip less battery but if you are a programmer which use docker k8s and other ide etc you see battery usage go way up in MacBook. I think right comparison would be with same price windows machine.

@@tarunsaii That's why no one should ever buy a MacBook Air. I have an Intel i7 Quad Core MacBook Pro 15" from late 2013 (16GB RAM and Nvidia graphics 2GB), and it's still running today almost as good as the day I bought it, The latest operating system it officially supports is macOS Big Sur, which still receives software updates from Apple, but unofficially it can run the latest macOS Ventura too through some package installer tricks. I should mention it has had the battery replaced twice (2018 & 2022), display replacement (2022) and the motherboard (2018 & 2019), but the cost of these replacements is worth it even OUT of warranty. All in all, I've spent around AUD$4500 over the last 10 years (AUD$3118 for the initial purchase) and AUD$1000-1500 for out of warranty replacement costs, and have never been more satisfied. In fact, Apple has given me one free battery replacement (2022 - apple genius bar tech scratched the top case, which contains the keyboard and has the battery glued to it underneath), a free display replacement (2022 - for customer satisfaction), one motherboard replacement (2019 for Apple support testing purposes of a software vulnerability), 3-4 Magsafe chargers (over the last 10 years - for customer satisfaction). Note, they officially stopped supporting and producing replacement parts for my MacBook Pro model in 2018-2019, but if your lucky, you can find some parts still available through Apple (i.e. the display and motherboard parts are still in stock in Apple's warehouses as of July 2022). Also battery replacement parts for all MacBook models are available for up to 10 years officially, which also means keyboard can be replaced in the models where the batteries are glued to the top-case (I think newer models don't have these glued anymore). Also the SSD has only warn out 19% of its original capacity (not storage capacity, but read/write capacity as SSDs degrade after 1000 rewrites), so I still have quite a bit of use before that fails. My use of the Mac is mainly Safari, Microsoft Office products, Emailing, light gaming (very light), Spotify, AutoCAD, MATLAB, some basic programming, Video streaming, Windows Bootcamp (for university engineering software), so consider my use case may be significantly different to others.
Os wise windows is far better even if its slower at hardware level. Macos stuck in old style top menu bar... its so ugly. Macos multi tasking also bad.. when multiple windows open you have to click twice.. first to focus than again click
You forgot the quick wake-up time and the almost zero battery-draining sleep function of MacOS that allows you to continue working just as soon as you open the lid. Also, the fan-less design paired with the M-series processors makes it possible to carry the MacBook air around in your bag in sleep mode without the worry of your bag becoming a furnace and a potential bomb.
@@MadArush2245 it's not just quick wake up. You can just close the lid and forget about it, open your laptop 2 days later, everything is where you left, and with almost negligible battery loss. A windows laptop, meanwhile, would have drained it's battery, overheated the whole bag within which it has been kept, and to bring back to life you'll have to connect your charger. Secondly, after a complete shutdown, although windows also restores to the pre shutdown state, but you'll have to launch many, if not all, of those apps manually. With its build quality which you can find on some premium windows laptops. You cannot collect quirks from different computers and then put them together and say that is why Macs are better. When it comes to ecosystem which Macs do very well, Samsung's PCs have theirs, I haven't tested myself but I heard it's also very good. Moreover you should rather pick a particular brand or laptop and compare with the MAC. This review is pure garbage!
Always remember guys, apple don't need salesmen ; their customers are only their salesmen. so dont fall into the trap and save yourself from wasting money. Apple products are good but only for a very specific group of people.
Purchased a macbook after using windows laptops for almost 20 years. I agree that macbooks are good for a specific crowd but do remember that only applies for pro series. The air series is for everyday use. Is that still expensive? Yes. Way expensive. But I can assure that macbook air will last way longer than a windows laptop without the need for any software reset or hardware upgrade (I know they don’t allow hardware upgrade, but if there was an option, my statement still stands). With macbooks, you’re not just paying a premium for mac os and ‘apple tax’. You’re basically paying for longevity.
@@ashishdhingra8034 you should go ahead and look at a few forums online and see how many issues apple laptops have. apple will just cripple your device slowly. but you wont notice it if you just use a 1l+ machine just for browsing web which is the case for majority of its users.

Do some research on reddit , xda developers etc if the software u use is compatible with macos or performs better. AFAIK video editing and using macos exclusive apps like final cut pro and logic perform significantly better than windows alternatives at same price range. And most compatibility issues have probably been solved by now. When switching to mac u'll have to re-learn a lot of short cuts , commands in even simple stuff like excel , word..
If u want very good consistent battery backup and don't do much heavy tasks then macbook air is the best pick. It starts to throttle if u use longer than 10mins since it lacks fan. MacOS has its own issues (check linus tech tips they made a detailed video on it) so . I was thinking of buying m1 MBA but since base model is impractical for me i would have to spend a lot of money just to get enough ram and storage (16gb ram &1tb storage). Not to mention the lack of ports , U will have to carry multiple dongles or a very expensive hub ( good ones cost like 10k to 20k , cheaper ones cost 5k but they aren't that realible or are slower) with u . So i settled for Lenovo IdeaPad 5 for around 66k with offers. Works great for business/ student activities with only major drawback being terrible webcam and mic.
I never used Mac OS, but the fact that MS Office runs like sh*t on Windows laptops and better on Mac means I will get a Mac in the future, but the problem with Apple Ecosystem is you can't choose what graphics card, what processor, what ram , etc you can have in your system. For someone like me, choosing various parts, putting it together and upgrading it when necessary is something I love about.

@@RajatKashyapPresents the ones with good quality build are generally in 45-50k range. Most people will prefer to buy a Mac when they reach 50k so that's not a good thing for windows tbh. He said about the USB-C charging ones. He said that not all laptops are Intel evo certified so it can't be considered as a universal thing in the case of windows. Whereas in Mac, it's a universal thing. Same thing about battery backup. The ones with Intel evo certification are comparable to Mac but as said earlier, not all are Intel evo certified. Also Windows can basically run on any device. As long as it has the power to run it. You can even run it on your android phone, if they have a powerful chipset like SD865, 888, 888+, 8gen1, 8+gen1, 8gen2. This ability of Windows is a 2-edged blade. It can run on any device, but it will kill the battery way faster than android or Linux or MacOS or iOS because Windows has always been an extremely power hungry OS. That's one of the main reasons why the battery backup on windows laptops in general is poor. So yeah, it's good for tech savvy folks but neither is it good for the device nor is it good for the majority of people. Whereas in the case of MacOS, it's designed to function and form the eco-system with Apple products only, and not other devices. While Windows is just an OS. It's just recently started making its devices and only the Surface laptops are great.. everything else made by Windows sucks. So no question of forming an eco-system rather it transformed into a co-existing OS, effectively keeping Android out of the competition in Laptops.
I will not be using a Mac ever. I do not like the direction that Apple is going with it's privacy. Mac is just much more restrictive than Windows. I the user do not have full control over my device. But that battery life sure is tempting. I am just glad to see this dude be so happy.
Bro, Windows WORKS on macbooks (the Intel ones, and in VM on M1s) , dont like macos? switch to windows on a macbook. im just saying that its an option.
The driver issues are sometimes very frustrating...I think Windows 11 took it to another level...My external mouse will stop working randomly...and then I would have to restart the laptop..
Yeah some things like that happen. But from my experience NO. I had an entry laptop earlier which was around 2 years old then. Every half hour a problem would come up and everytime I had to fiddle with driver settings. But then by jugaad and Windows Insider I got W11 on a laptop who wasn't even compatible. But it had no issues then. It's ok I mean some issues are there and I didn't wanna take huge risks provided having an old laptop in lockdown where it was damn essential. But there are permanent issues if you search for them.
2. Build Quality? Build quality is tied to a manufacturer and model and not to a particular Operating System. You can get premium build quality in windows laptops as well if you are willing to pay the premium.

Unfair comparison. Valid points - good battery (all thanks to ARM chips) and ecosystem. Built in apps are good but Apple's iWork is mostly for casual use cases so you would need MS Office anyway so doesn't matter
I cannot agree with portability part because acer aspire 7 is a gaming laptop and you cannot use mac for gaming. This seems like a rare exception. I used 3 Windows laptops before switching to a MacBook. Meanwhile, I am getting 7 hours of battery on my 4-year-old MacBook, and it is super snappy and does not lag at all.
The worst ten reasons for productivity, lets go for these points: 1. There is no tag option for files. 2.No ways to classify your folders or add a unique color for specific topics. 3. The worst search feature in windows. (this point really makes me super crazy). There is no WAY TO SEARCH THE CONTENT FOR THE DOCS, else you have to go classic method, and it takes ages to show the results. 4. No one pdf app is fully compatible and smooth for reading and editing or adding annotation. 5. the Chrome browser drains our battery and utilizes most windows machines. 6. Multitasking and Traveling between windows altogether sh**t. If I had pressed windowd+tab, it would pause for 1/second; I mean not smoothly. 7. Snipping tools are fundamental, and the moment you need to edit, the app will take pause. 8. windows explore this sh**t after we are happy with Adding a tabbing feature, but you can not have the ability to pin any tab. 9. There is no built-in dictionary for instant transulte. 10. Preview files before opening them. This feature in windows is called pane preview. If anyone uses it, they may have a heart attack. And also, when you compare macOS with Windows, make sure you take hardware of similar levels, don't compare 2.5 lacs MacBook Pro with any average budget Windows laptop.

You have so many option like designs, specification according to the buyers budget and many more. If mac book is the only option, not everyone would be able to afford it. This is also a reason why there is so many options so that everyone and find the one which makes them satisfied the most.
3:10 "there is no option on windows" so apple is better because it gives 'OPTIONS' with the ecosystem
7:45 "it is so confusing to have many devices" so apple is better as it has only a few "OPTIONS".

Go for mac, i have been using m1 max for development from 1 year and most of the software is compatible now.

A developer doesn't mean you know everything. I am in programming field too and I can't take how many people just don't even know basics, and do basics like opening the screen wrong.
But I meant more about requirements as in what you would want. You don't get a Gaming Laptop for build or battery, for example, and maintenance matters regardless.
At the end of the day it's all luck
He is comparing one MacBook with all different windows laptop which is very unfair rather he should have compared it with one of the Dell XPS or Surface book pro
Yes. It's not fair to compare a 1 lakh laptop to a 50k laptop. It has to fair apples to apples comparison.
HP Victus costs 62K+ and same with MacBook Air M1 if you are a student now you can get it at 72k, while XPS costs 1L+ still
But at the end it all depends on budget and requirements, like for me M1 Air is better option bcoz I just do coding, streaming videos etc stuff (no gaming)
@@harshsinha12 let's not include discounted pricing in this discussion since not everyone is a student here. On apple's website the old M1 Air costs 99900 and the new M2 Air costs 119990. So comparison should be made of laptop which is similar to MacBook and that has the same price.
@@iamsid23 ok then check Croma/Jio Mart too once
@@harshsinha12 No, the worse thing is comparing to them in aspects like build, durability, battery, portability. And this is where a 62K Rupee GAMING Laptop will never match a Laptop that launched at 1 Lac. Talk performance/thermals, that Victus beats out M1 Pro/Max, M1 isn't even in conversation. Or talk ports and stuff like that.
At 70K, you have HP Pavilion Aero, VivoBook OLED, which can get 8-10h battery, can last super long, and are lightweight too. But even these are current-year models, not last-year, and still outperform the M1.
1:58 just peal of the stickers 🤣🤣🤣 wtf
This is a completely biased video.. one can say MacBook is better and all but the kind of comparison this video has is just BS. MacBook air was launched in 1.2 lkh and if you buy any good laptop of that cost it stays more than 5 years in a good condition.

Pro tip:-read the title before watching videos.
@@dragonforcegaming7555 It should say Windows Laptops.
@@RajatKashyapPresents He did compare it with Windows as a OS too. So it can be said as a software as well as a hardware comparison.
@@dragonforcegaming7555 But hardware points are not very good either. Plenty windows laptop with great build quality like Dell xps, plenty with usb C charging, plenty with 8-10 hr or more battery backup.
And the fact that you can Windows on MAC OS & not the other way around is a Plus for windows and not MAC

This seems like a rare exception. I used 3 Windows laptops before switching to a MacBook. OMG, the battery life, smoothness, speed, built quality, and services I get for a Macbook are 100 times better than a Windows laptop. My 4-year-old MacBook is super fast. Whereas my brother's 2-year-old HP, which costs the same amount, lags a lot, heats up crazily, and battery backup is barely 2 hours. Meanwhile, I am getting 7 hours of battery on my 4-year-old MacBook, and it is super snappy and does not lag at all.
The worst ten reasons for productivity, lets go for these points:
