What ride would you cancel? Here is a pro tip. Take it or leave it. Short short rides, and when you show up to the exact pickup location, and your getting the messages "where are you"? Good time to slide up, select cancel, an its for safety. The onset of a scam usually starts that way. Good luck. I cancel about 5-8% of my rides because of safety concerns like this.

Every screwber and gryft passenger in my car, well almost, gets to hear about wridz. Wridz is a superior service, its safer, drivers are vetted much better, passengers pay less and drivers make more. Wridz wrocks!
I think that the trick to getting more business on wridz is that you need to put a flyer on the back of both front seats, and I would put a note above it that says "Ask me about Wridz." Then your Uber and lyft passengers will get curious and SOME of them will ask you about it, then after you tell them about it, have them download the app right there in your car.
I live in the Minneapolis, St. Paul Metro area. And I’m happy to see a new service, but here’s a major concern, Uber and Lyft are accessible to blind people who use speech on their phones. This app is not. I downloaded it the other day, and struggled very much from the beginning. I had somebody who could see take a look at it, and they said it’s a lot more complicated than the Uber and Lyft apps. I live independently as a blind person, and I request my own Uber and Lyft rides. But, that means that the app needs to be accessible because I run speech on my phone. Hoping that this app will improve.
I’m sure they are working on it, but in the meantime if you have a driver you like, ask if you can order them by calling them directly and once they arrive they can help complete the request for you while in their car. I have regular riders here in Texas that have different needs and am happy to help.
Can't wait til these guys come to Utah. I will quit my day job that I hate and I will marketthe hell out of wridz to my uber/lyft passengers. There will be a flyer on the back of both of my front seats and probably a sticker on each of the back seat windows facing the pax. Many pax's will ask me. "What's this wridz thing? Is that a new rideshare app?"
So, it sounds like you actually paid more to use the service, than you received in ride payments. Certainly, you had to do a lot of rides to break even for the $100 monthly fee? I almost think it would best to wait until they are more pronounced and it's a lot busier, than to fund their start up at my own cost, on top of the already outrageous costs we already endure. What am I missing? Especially if I drive only a few times a month to augment my W4 job. Wridz would be a terrible choice for me if I can't break even after making the subscription fee.
It is a nice concept with everything. I am in Phoenix and am in the process of signing up for it now. Several worries though with this being the biggest worry of all. . I am plenty busy on Uber and Lyft . First will there be enough riders to pay for the fee. You will have to factor in how many rides you need to get to make it profitable after paying the 100 dollar fee. For a part time driver I don't see it working. With that in mind if you do get enough rides how many hours to get those rides and then calculate your hourly wage. The fact you only took I believe 3 of 8 requests tells me they are not pricing them right either and with it not being as busy as Uber and Lyft that is definitely an issue. Nice video and I will try it out as it said I can do the first month free and then 50 and then 100. Said I could pause it to which is good but until I do it full time would not be worth it but I am expecting to do it full time soon as my regular job is starting layoffs .
So you expect Wridz to be as busy as Uber and Lyft right out of the gate? Seriously? That’s not how business works. It takes time. And with time it will happen. Drivers need to be patient and they need to tell their Uber and Lyft riders about rides. That’s how that works.
I’m in the Indianapolis, IN region & I tell all my passengers to watch out for this new service. I ask them to download the app now so that they can see the demand here & hightail it down here! Can’t wait for something new! 🎉
Uber and Lyft should've been subscription based from the very beginning. They will take anywhere from 45% to 60% of the fare, both companies. They literally connect the rider to the driver, and that's it, but they take more than a portion of each ride or trip😳, getting rich off the driver, using an app. So competition will put Uber and Lyft out of business, because they will loose alot of money switching over to a monthly subscription and it'll be long over due anyways, so Uber and Lyft's business days are seriously numbered if they don't get it right😌
I gave my first wridz ride yesterday. I had previously turned the app on but forgot about it. Like two hours later I recieved my first wridz request. I turned off my Lyft app and accepted the wridz request. The ride was not profitable. It might be a good idea to use wridz when it's busiest. I'm willing to make a bit less money now in order to get this app going. It's like we need to push a boulder over a little hill so that it can then roll down a valley.
Getting this app of the ground is like starting a campfire. It's gonna take some diligence and patience at first but once the wood catches fire we will create a positive reinforcement loop and the fire will soon be raging.
Great video and love the transparency as well BUT im not understanding why the pay was $5 and some change for a 25 minute trip or why u accepted it?? Did i miss something?
$5 ?!?! It’s not the drivers job to bring this app to market by falling on the sword until they get adequate market coverage…..pay more!! Geez guys…..don’t be stupid…..to be fair, the transparency is key here and could push them to the top, but not for pennies
That is how the clown ceo steve is trapping drivers. He has them by the hook! He wants drivers to volunteer their time, market the app, pass out flyers, beg customers to switch, all at no expense to poor man steve well soon to be rich. Think about it, $100/month in a year or two off say 5000 drivers nationwide. No marketing cost, no advertising cost, no sponsorship partnerships with credit cards or anything. He is a genius! Banking big time off gullible drivers
You obviously do not understand the concept of WRIDZ. They ARE NOT like Uber and Lyft. They are better! If you are going to be negative, then go ahead and stick with Uber and Lyft, and keep complaining like every other joker out there does.
Why is the insurance cost so low on this ride? The "insurance" fees on Uber are way higher. Is the insurance on Wridz not as comprehensive as Uber insurance? Or is it because Uber is hiding something else in the insurance costs?
Are you slow? Uber and Gryft grape you on alleged insurance fees, and you think insurance should be that high? You think it takes $25 insurance on a $100 ride? BFFR
Also, U/L insurance is NOT comprehensive. It covers only liability (with a $2500 deductible on Gryft). If someone hits your car, you get to pay 100% of the damages.
This is from the Owners of Wridz : just to be 100% transparent and clear on expectations, we are not operating under the traditional "on demand" rideshare model, so you cannot turn the app on and be fed trips like with the other two companies. The drivers that do well on our app are only able to do so by independently building their own passenger requests, as passengers can request you directly as their driver
I got my first rider in twice request from Wridz 8.9 miles pick up and 1.9 mile drop off I only profited $5. No I don’t go take me 23 minutes to pick up I think Lyft is the best that give drivers closer to pick up
All you pay for is the Background Check and the on-boarding kit which includes a drug test which is a cheek swab test. Thats all you pay for. It's not 375.00 🤣
@carloscortes4141 they charge him a prorated charge for the monthly subscription. I don't know what Minneapolis monthly subscription is. It varies from region to region.
I've no idea if wridz is going to be a good option in the future but I am eagerly waiting for them in CA and will immediately sign up when they do! To the dump with Uber & Lyft!!
Wridz is now available for trips in these regions: Texas Austin, San Antonio, Dallas/Fort Worth, Lubbock, Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Waco/Fort Hood, Fredericksburg
Just so you KNow. UBer and LYFT have to make legacy payouts to the people who first formed the companies. That's why they never make any money. So then they try and take it out of the driver. Need to be making minimum $1.50 a mile with 50 cents (pickup+delivery) a minute or you're just burning up your car for nuttin.
on the break down I didn't see the miles per trip, I need to know if a 10 miles trip pays more than a dollar or less. if pays less than a dollar, they are just like uber and lyft. they should pay $1.28 per mile minimun, beggining the first day.
2.4 to 3.6% of each transaction goes to the cc companies. The remaining 5% or so is extra profit for ol man steve. This isnt rocket science to see what hes doing
@@boomerboomer5586 you obviously don’t know crap. Steve doesn’t get anything from the credit card companies. That fee goes to the credit card companies. You can’t be that dense.
@@josephinemiller4780 Fees don't cost 8% of each transaction. In fact, it's not even close, especially for debit cards. The highest transaction fees come from Amex, but a lot of companies don't accept them due to these. Debit card transactions cost about 10 cents plus .1%. Credit cards (besides Amex) cost about 25 cents plus 2% to 3%. I honestly can't believe you think that an almost 8% credit card processing fee is normal.
Great video! Love the breakdown.I don't quite understand the subscription fee. isn't $100 a month about what Uber and Lyft are stealing from us anyway? Feedback?

So far starting point is very simple and honest. Not like Blood feud Draculas Uber and Lyft
I hope you guys make a ton of money. It seems Wridz has the drivers interest, screw Uber and Lyft!!
It's shocking
How much are you paying Uber and Lyft a month, if you're full time I bet over $1k, then you complain that they take too much of the fare
Wridzs please come to Miami Uber has been ripping us off for years.
Figure out what you're paying to Uber and Lyft for a month, I bet if you're full time it's over a $1k
So you expect Wridz to be as busy as Uber and Lyft right out of the gate? Seriously? That’s not how business works. It takes time. And with time it will happen. Drivers need to be patient and they need to tell their Uber and Lyft riders about rides. That’s how that works.
@@josephinemiller4780 no one said that, watch the SMTMC episode, it's quality over quantity
Will you guys come to LA?
Working on it
I’m in the Indianapolis, IN region & I tell all my passengers to watch out for this new service. I ask them to download the app now so that they can see the demand here & hightail it down here! Can’t wait for something new! 🎉
Thank you for sharing, I hope they also come to SF Bay Area
I love the transparency
Im on the app here in Minnesota but only seen one request so far this week. Hopefully it picks up.
Make sure you are talking to your riders, getting your own regular riders who order just you is where the money is :)
Funny how you get your tips instantly.
Isn't it?
Do you know if wridez is in Florida or coming to Florida soon? Do they have an option for black car drivers to drive?
Coming to Tampa/Sarasota first and soon. Go check out their website
@@Fishin4funout4trout thanks
Thanks for the video.
👍
I signed up as it just launched in Houston Texas, doing the background check now. I am sure the DF'S will be in the future also.
Waiting in Greenville South Carolina
Lol dont need it in greenville. Wridz already failed in myrtle beach and columbia
I emailed them months ago about Greenville and was told that they would be launching there soon. I haven’t checked back but I’m sure it’ll be soon.
$5 ?!?! It’s not the drivers job to bring this app to market by falling on the sword until they get adequate market coverage…..pay more!! Geez guys…..don’t be stupid…..to be fair, the transparency is key here and could push them to the top, but not for pennies
you keep complaining but keep driving for Uber, go right ahead
Because Uber/Lyft are making money off of that insurance
That’s Uber’s way of stealing money from you!
@@gondola8539 That's probably some dingdong from Uber posting that comment. Trying to taint the waters.
No I don’t go take me 23 minutes to pick up I think Lyft is the best that give drivers closer to pick up
Why $375 to register? What are you getting charged for?
All you pay for is the Background Check and the on-boarding kit which includes a drug test which is a cheek swab test. Thats all you pay for. It's not 375.00 🤣
@@chris.coffin $53.75, lol I was just reading the captions not actually listening and it says $375
@carloscortes4141 they charge him a prorated charge for the monthly subscription. I don't know what Minneapolis monthly subscription is. It varies from region to region.
Your take on MyWeels? Any interest?
I've no idea if wridz is going to be a good option in the future but I am eagerly waiting for them in CA and will immediately sign up when they do! To the dump with Uber & Lyft!!
Come to California Wridz
Please Bring this to dfw
Wridz is now available for trips in these regions:
Texas
Austin, San Antonio, Dallas/Fort Worth, Lubbock, Amarillo,
Corpus Christi, Waco/Fort Hood, Fredericksburg
Just so you KNow. UBer and LYFT have to make legacy payouts to the people who first formed the companies. That's why they never make any money. So then they try and take it out of the driver. Need to be making minimum $1.50 a mile with 50 cents (pickup+delivery) a minute or you're just burning up your car for nuttin.
thanks for the video about this
👍
on the break down I didn't see the miles per trip, I need to know if a 10 miles trip pays more than a dollar or less. if pays less than a dollar, they are just like uber and lyft. they should pay $1.28 per mile minimun, beggining the first day.
you need to see a lot, working on it
Come to Oregon Wridz
Ouch, almost 8% in credit card processing fee.
Ouch? What is on Uber, what is the commercial insurance fee on Lyft in external expenses
2.4 to 3.6% of each transaction goes to the cc companies. The remaining 5% or so is extra profit for ol man steve. This isnt rocket science to see what hes doing
@boomerboomer5586 yeah? What is scruber and gryft doing???? Which of them are you W-2 employee with?
Feedback?
I can’t wait to try it in Massachusetts
Love this as in all of it the CEO was cool cannot wait until they come to mass already sighed up and just waiting
💯
Uhmmm......insurance fee is only $1.16??
Hey Lyft we have questions!
Oh we are going to break that down in Tuesday
Oh we're gonna break that down Tuesday from Tuesday
Because insurance costs beans for wridz as a start up. Once claims start rolling in, steve will have to take $5-10 per ride like Uber. This isnt rocket science lol
Will this be available for deliveries soon I hope?!
When you guys gonna come to California
It depends on us the drivers, let's put a sign in the back seat explaining why wrids will be better not only for drivers but also for riders because without uber taking 60% of the fare they can pay less and drivers make more ,a QR code for the wrids app in the back seat
The perk feature is cool 😎
Don’t you have the option of negotiating the price with the passenger using your perks option on the rides app?
That's InDrive
Yes!! 🎉
So Wridz charges a dollar for insurance but Uber can’t?
💯💯
Because insurance costs beans for wridz as a start up. Once claims start rolling in, steve will have to take $5-10 per ride like Uber. This isnt rocket science lol
That’s how Uber makes their money is by overcharging riders on those fees!
is that you Andrew or is it Andrea?
@@boomerboomer5586Where it's Uber insurance cost on reservations..? Im always curious...🤔
Come to Portland/Vancouver, please
Are there different fair types like XL and black?
Are you coming to California?
hi chris thanks for vedio۔ the good things is acceptance time is excellent but they keep pickup and dropoff plus fare all times like lyft or like uber once accepted then trip details are completly clear white pap😮er till finished۔drivers should expect some releif Subscriptions means their share of earnings sooner you will see uber n lyft will paying attention to drivers۔
So you committed to being a slave accepting any low fare ride, I had a Uber driver tell me that the reason why Uber gives drivers low fare rides because they have a lot of cheap drivers that accept anything.

this country known as " land of opportunity " it does not came sitting in air condition room and money will like rainfall no sir you have to pay price either accepting low pay jobs and working long hours forget about family life then you get everything but no family life۔ secondly world top three jobs creater companies gone out of business #1 photo industry second Travel agent do you going to buy pricey ticket through agent ۔ # 3 news papers so those peoples who are having jobs loss they are doing whatever easily available jobs۔ your bills never stop but your pay check stop frequently۔ uber is back by some third world country investors who have currouption money or easy money thats why uber is surving one research reveal that out of dollar expense 59 cents come from investors and 41 cents from riders۔ this is main reason of uber surving۔
it is Joe not Chris
How about an update to this video, Joe?
I signed up for WRIDZ on June 1 Saturday and had the app on for at least four hours in Atlanta and had zero pings from any riders😡😡
Is profit After your expenses
If they come to L.A Uber/Lyft would go down, but I'm sure they would buy out Wridz
Sheesh I received an Lyft fare for $3.00
Minimum you’d make on Wridz is $5 🤷🏻♀️
I really like the transparency, but those are very cheap fares for customers. I get if this is temporary to grow customer base as a trial promotion, but $5.46 for pickup & 14min is wild cheap and not profitable/very bad pay. We should see a clear difference in pay being drug tested & meet other quality standards.
Working on it, it's introduction
So is this in Baltimore Md
Please push this company to come to Boston, Massachusetts !!!🎉
Joe I know you don’t like it but load Waze ?? 🙏
I been driving for uber and lyft for 9 years I know by seeing the miles and the pay if this company is better than uber and lyft .
💯
What's a good, bad, excellent ratio?
When wrydz. Hits more citys ..uber and lyft Will end up as startups
Not even close. Drivers are going to stick with uber and lyft because of surges, quests, boosts, ride challenges... all that give drivers a chance for more money. Most drivers wont want to drive for the same ol flat fares every day every week with the goofy wridz. Lets be real here
@@boomerboomer5586 100 percent vs 30 percent after external fees. It's a no brainier . 95 percent of Lyft and Uber drivers have alot a anger built up. Lyft and Uber put people thru some boo shit
