Thank you so much sir. I have been following your videos for quite a while now. It is of immense help for me and for my clinics, as no one explains these topics and methods of treatment. Please keep making videos like this. Thank you for making life easier. From India.

Sir , with due respect, for empirical treatment I would avoid ciprofloxacin due to latest guidelines and instead put the patient on Norfloxacin + tinidazole combination. Works all the time with excellent results. Great video , explained very simply and clearly.
@@sahasraprithbi3830 Norfloxacin (400mg) + Tinidazole (600mg) ....comes as NorfloxTz by Cipla . Minimum 3 days , maximum 5 day ....twice daily for adults only. Please correlate clinically.

Arsenal dream, you may start the empiric therapy with Cipro and metronidazole with fluid resustication. And if the patient is experiencing abdominal pain. Releive the pain with antispasmodics like drotraverine, mebeverine.
@@MedNerdDrWaqasFazal would CBC be valuable if the patient cant provide Stool sample, would it be sufficient to start patient on metronidazole only if I suspect the patient have parastic infection And in case of children would cefixime and metronidazole be alternative for using cipro and metronidazole
Can you please do video of interpretation CBC and inflammatory markers I would really be grateful. You have an amazing approach and I been watching all your videos
Really very crisp information on such an exhaustive topic , I found a important nosology missing in the topic is acute mesenteric ischemia , which also presents with diarrhoea, and missing it in the diagnosis could lead to major complications. Your opinion please.
If patient is having abdominal pain with diarrhea avoid loperamide because loperamide will exacerbate abdominal cramps and pain. Use loperamide in watery diarrhea with no abdominal pain.
Thank you for such an informative video. Are the specific treatments for various causative agents within the scope of general practise. if yes, would appreciate an add-on video or perhaps a text for treatment regimen algorithm you would advise. Thanks again Dr.Waqas
