Andre Ward is TRULY one of the greatest fighters of all time! You have to give Virgil Hunter credit for the gameplan and Andre CLEARLY believed in it and EXECUTED perfectly! He MASTERFULLY broke down Kovalev and made him quit! He got PHYSICAL with the puncher and made him fight a fight he didn't want to and tired him out and finished him. Kovalev was already quitting because he was gassed so bad. Turning his back, complaining about legal bodyshots and YES there were some that strayed low. When you keep bending over forward(which you aren't supposed to do in a fight) though, the other fighter has to keep fighting. Dre's gameplan was clearly to work the body and so he continued. Kovalev quit and Andre stopped him. Absolutely amazing finish to two great fights! Thank you so much for your career Andre. It was a blessing to witness 🙏🏿 and thanks to Kovalev as well. One of the greatest light heavyweights in a long time.
