  • working on a 2006 VW Jetta diesel tdi with dsg. has issue shifting, no reverse and code P1604 for internal mechatronic control module failure. opened the sealed and potted module after doing a capacitive conductance test which indicated one output line was not connected internally to the module. Opened it and found that wire had lifted off the pc board. next video will show the repair of the connection

Can I ask you what sort of issue did you have driving the car? Was it getting stuck in some gear? Making noise while in Neutral or Park? Cheers

Hi. DSG 6 on the 1.4 tsi does not always increase the speed when you release the brake pedal, is DSG doing something weird? And if even after I apply the handbrake, then you can start twitching.

You replaced it after you fixed it? I"m looking at cutting open my TCM cover today and seeing if I can fix it. If you ended up replacing your entire unit after you fixed it, then I might as well buy a new one. Thanks@@neuromanglers
