I genuinely love this arc of Akuma, where he's softening up just a teeeeeeeny tiny bit, whether it's out of respect for his opponent or something completely different. Keywords being "teeny tiny bit", because I'm sure he'd still off his opponent if he gets the chance.
While he becomes more powerful, he also becomes softer. It's pretty cool in a way

I think its because hes still a mortal being at the end of the day. His taunt has an input that lets him eat a rice ball. He even licks his hand afterwards. Elenas end cutscene is USF4 shows that he can get along with people. He doesnt hate everyone. His lore states he wont kill people who cant fight back in the first place like innocents. But he also doesnt care much if they get caught in the crossfire

It’s a Buddhist thing, carving statues of Buddha is a way of repentance.
It fits him, especially after what happened to Sekijo(Demon of Hatred). He just needs that one perfect Buddha statue.

Akuma and Ryu somehow keep living through their fights to the death, now don't they? They must not be doing it right.
Ryu won’t kill akuma cuz ryu only kills when necessary and knows akuma well enough that he doesn’t kill Willy nilly like some deranged monster. Akuma won’t kill ryu cuz he wants ryu to embrace the satsue no hado and go all out, in a fight, to be worthy of death in his eyes, but ryu will never do that. It’s a stale mate of ideologies. It’s why they survive fighting each other, neither one of them wants to kill each other unless there is a reason to do so.
Capcom really does the least with their character stories 😂

For a man who places so much value in his hands in combat, it strangely makes sense that Akuma has some artistic ability.

He kinda looks like the demon of hatred, his theme is called shura, and he's carving statues. You can't tell me they didn't take inspiration from orangutan in sekiro.
I think it’s more so that both the craftsman and Akuma share the same inspirations from Shinto Buddhism
@@user-pj1ec5om5g I'm aware of them both drawing inspiration from buddhism, that's very common in japanese fiction. However, I think the similarities between the two and the motifs used to represent them are far too striking to be entirely coincidental. Which is by no means a bad thing. I think Akuma looks cooler than ever.

There maybe influence, as yes that is possible, however since this is an actual thing and both Sekiro and now Street fighter are both doing it exactly as how the ritual is supposed to be I personally believe it to be pure coincidence.

@@user-pj1ec5om5g If it was just the statue carving, I would agree. But they look visually similar too. That similarity is even greater with Akuma's original red hair on his 2p color. The concept of Shura has always been part of Akuma, but when putting it together with his new appearance and the statue carving, it seems like an homage to me.

Yes there is oro but he is to pacifist for akuma to fight when comes to gen he already dead when comes to ryu he doesnt accept his dark hado so fighting ryu is not fun for akuma so my guy just carve wooden doll to remove his loneliness
Someday Capcom need to make a true rival for akuma to consider as friend,not being dead,super strong and a bloodlust like akuma based on his personality no more evil Ryu the original new character that can make a worthy opponent for akuma
Yes there is asura that would be a good rival but that sh't only appear in asura wrath which make that acounter as non-canon we need some one like that to exist in street fighter universe the true canon character

These Arcade mode storys are kinda lackluster, hope Capcoms working on a cinematic story mode

Capcom doing a cinematic story is a bad idea. Just look at SFV...

The SF6 Akuma story was underwhelming. Tekken 8 had a much more epic story

His story is a reflection of him having more introspective at this point in his life
Though his path has not wavered,he now ponders a different perspective
I mean sf has always kept it more lowkey and minimal when it comrs to their arcade stories. Sf6 in general focuses more on characterization rather than full fledged plotline as seen in World Tour
@khalduras784 Street Fighter 4 had most of the characters enter the tournament to take down SIN & Seth. Street Fighter 5 had characterization stories with each character doing their own things

If this is the thanks I get for playing as akuma I'll stick to Tekken 7 akuma atleast hes fun to fight against kaz this ending friggin sucks it's like Capcom couldn't even think of a way for him and ryu to settle the score , every time they meet akuma gets screwed .
