You forgot about the Hermetic and Platonic influences in our early Manichaeism. The reason our religion was branded a "Gnostic" religion is because of the influence of Hermes also know as Thoth. Mani used the Egyptian gnosticism of Thoth and his Emerald Tablets , and the 7 Principles ...etc. He also saw Plato as a spiritual leader and teacher . When our religion reached China and Asia Daoism and Confusionism were added . Today we have the Medieval and modern orthodox Christianties and the Biblical cannons. There is also the influence of Vandetta and some of the other Darmic spiritual disciplines of the east blending in. Then there are Mani's own writing's and teachings. He wrote six sets of scriptures. A seventh set was found in France and are being studied in Paris.
He was born in Babylon, south of Baghdad, in what is now modern-day Iraq, within the ancient region of Mesopotamia. He was Semitic in heritage, with his father originally adhering to the ancient Babylonian religion before converting to (Mandaeism Sabianism). He spoke and wrote all his books in Syriac Aramaic language of ancient Iraq, Syriac Aramaic was his mother tongue, a language that was embraced by both the Assyrians and the Babylonians the native people of Iraq.
@@samfraydonanahata2485 If he was born in Baghdad doesn't mean that he's from Iraq ! . In the past Iraq was a part of Achaemenid empire. Even the word Baghdad is Persian . Mani was a descendant of Parthian Kings . Just do a research !

Thanks Again ❤
Manicheanism died out for simple reasons, it had nothing original about itself, it was a mixure from different religions.
Good presentation
As a manichaean we don’t worship any of those. They are grand prophets but we do worship a single god and on occasion pray to his emanations.
Are you affiliated with the ekklesia of light?
@@DM5550Z no. Infact I think they are rather poor manichaeans.
@@MrCrowley6 Why?
@@DM5550Z they self identify as gnostics which we are not.
