I just found out you can just move the green noxious bulb (the poison cloud flower) to the middle of the bridge using teleport and set the cloud on fire. The flower will spew new cloud every few seconds and it will kill the troll.
Another way to kill him is to transmutate Lava from near the Cloisterwood Waypoint all the way to him. It takes a while and is super cheese, but it works.
they need to put a limit on forced exchange like at least 20% hp remains ,its kinda funny some source spells are totally useless and some other are like using cheat codes
@@AllThings_Gaming-c1m I solo killed it as solo lone wolf physical archer, used tp, nether swap, pinning shot, cloak and dagger, tactical retreat, haste, adrenaline some grenades/arrows to keep him debuffed
Nice. We did it at level 11 by trapping him between 2 ornate boxes and, luckily, having one of us specced as a pyrokinetic mage. Kept him on fire, took about 15 minutes of slowly wailing him down. xD
I just teleported the poisonous green flower (name escapes me) located just on the right side from where this bridge starts ontop of him, set that on fire outside of his attack range, and see him burn to death. I was lvl 14 when I did that
Another easy way to cheese him (but a bit slow) is while talking to him characters with teleport pile all the bodies next to him, and after setting him on fire use mass corpse explosion. (You get that spell by competing the _An Existential Crisis_ quest, the one at Stonegarden in which and undead challenges you to a battle of Wits). That spell is so OP it can be used to one-shot late game bosses with the same strategy, pretty much did the same thing with the Doctor in Arx.
You can craft mass corpse explosion also, as early as on the boat after defeating alexander and the drillworm if you are level 9. I used mass corpse explosion to end dallis turn one on my honour file last night actually
I used transmute terrain (Or whatever it's called it's a poly spell that moves one set of tiles with another.) and I brought the lava from the church to him and burned him to a crisp with it.
pouya alipour I actually tested without the fire and it turns out he will regen no matter if it is his turn or not sadly :( I thought the same thing though!
Haha. This is far and away the fastest way to kill Grog. Very good use of life swap. If you don't have the poly swap skill yet, another very simple way (any lvl) is to telekinesis objects to block him near one of the void woken so he can't move. Oil slick him. Cast fire on him and then initiate fight. corpse explode the voidwoken to make it necrofire (doesn't go out), get some distance to avoid his throw projectiles and end turn until he dies. Can be done with just one necro2/pyro2 char.
Or you could just gather all the nearby poison plants and plant them around grog, set them on fire while far away, and then jump in right when he’s about to die
Been playing this game recently for 2 weeks now I dont know what I'm doing at first I reset my game atleast 5 times and every time I reset i discovered new things. But this troll I fought him for 20 minutes lol hell of a fun. Didn't know you can do that to him lol.
Thanks a lot for this video. Lots of people are going to be complaining that it's cheating but it's not. To win this fight you need to abuse the mechanics, if thats stacking a hundred oil barrels, keeping him 'stun locked' or using this strat.
I've beat him using a Lonewolf Pyro/Aero mage at level 12. I kept using Fire whip and blinding radiance, uncanny evasion, evasive aura, and whittled him down without taking any damage
Have so many thing to cheese the fight or os mob in this game that your is "normal" compare to move and invincible chest with a lot of weight, swap lava or death fog on the troll, stack the spell that put a timing bomb (stack infinitely and will trigger "2 turn" after you cease to speak so a lot of bombs will trigger),... Or play "fair" by preparing the area with fire (for grog) and poison for Marg, cycle your cc and easy fight.
Oh shoot this is much easier than the way I did it. I was playing with an archer and a necromancer and both had teleportation skill. I would attack with the necromancer, using the bone widow and totens, while the archer would teleport him to far enough where the necromancer would get out of the fight. I repeated this always keeping at least one character in the fight so the turn doesn't end and grog won't be able to do anything.
I just trapped him in the corner under the bridge and cheesed him with two summoners by running away from battle and sneak summoning every turn XD edit: on tactician with lvl 9 characters
did it at lvl 10 on tactitian ranger+rogue,cc him with stun grenades, chicken claws, cripple, fire arrows, stun arrows, and stayed alive with uncanny evasion and evasive awra on my rogue while sebbile sniped him from a highground
5-6 poison arrows also work, you cover the bridge with poison, just make sure never to directly hit him with it, then he simply walks into the poison puddles, slowly killing himself and you finish him off once he gets low enough. if you hit him at any point with any of the arrows, however, he will attack and kill you.
I walked up to him alone and talked and initiated combat with 25 initiative and 2 hp and it worked I don’t know how. After the forced exchange Marg should have had a turn but I guess the forced exchange stunned or something and I got a level 15 wand finished off Marg. 1 ap to walk up. Poison attack 2 ap. Adrenaline back to 3. Forced exchange 1 ap two source. Two ap left for one attack. I see now. If I didn’t one shot him I’d be dead.
The percentage switch didn’t make math sense though. I had 2 hp so like 0.3% 0.3% of Marg’s 3000 vitality is 9, Marg had like 125. I don’t trust the game completely. Casting Living on the Edge with death resist Marg killed me anyways.
This is how my bro an myself defeated Grog if it helps: 1. Ignite the poison surface first to get rid of it as Grog is healed by poison. 2. Start the fight by firing a ranged weapon at him. 3. Now use fire arrows or fire spells or fire grenades to keep him on fire during the battle as this prevents him from regenerating his health. 4. Keep him charmed with charmed arrows, charmed spells, charmed grenades etc. The prevents him from attacking any of your party. While he's charmed you'll need to right click on him and select 'attack'.
This method uses a percentage based attack.. Lone wolf has nothing to do with how this kill tactic works. It works quite literally the same exact way as it would in a 4 person game.
@@jakel.7947 I know you used forced exchange....but, the game's a.i. does not scale to compete with characters who use lone wolf! 'Cheating' lol what, how is this cheating!? The mechanic is in the game, it's not like the oil barrel trick. I could turn around and say your cheating by just constantly keeping him stunned so he can't fight back.

@super hessu 1. That's wrong. You clearly didn't play the game if you think you can just steamroll everything without planning, especially the many act 2 bosses and the final boss fight. They will beat your ass, and it's not like you can just grind your way into beating them, since the game has limited EXP. You have to prepare and use your brain. 2. It seems you think being turn based somehow impedes it from being challenging? You clearly don't play many games, or you must only play Pokemon or something, which is always easy.
