I'm in 7th grade and we are learning of a very similar method called a decision matrix. Glad to see that it will actually be useful later on.
We still haven't learned that yet, should I be worried about my future? Lol.
@@oddball1336 nah it might just be because of a different district's curriculum but I'm sure that you won't need to depend on it to find out what college is best for you, also the guy in this video explains it pretty well
@@user-ht6ql1rn3w America
@@user-ht6ql1rn3w lol im grade 7 too and i actually live in Asia but we havent learnt this yet
Shit, I'm in high school, and I haven't been taught this shit. Probably will tho because my high school prides itself on teaching students to get into any college they want lol.
With all this math you have me doing I better have a fucking degree by end of this video.
Lol
😂
It's literally basic shit
@@swety2962whooooosh
it’s just finding the average
I had a vet similar system when I was applying for colleges. The factor “willing to accept me” was rated a 10 so I chose the college that accepted me.
😂😆
Perfect😂✋
Step 1: see who goes there and how many of them are serial killers
Underated 😂
If there are more then 5 Serial killer going to that college, you go there
Pfft nah
If they’re more than 10 you go
If there 20 it’s a no
@@jellym3735 20? Then you should absolutely go
@@joepvankreij6191 nahh if there’s 20 then you would have a hard time choosing friends
They would all be cool
Love how he rated food five out of 10
The audacity is going through the roof
And then there's me: applied for one university (didn't even consider applying for more, not out of confidence, but out of inexperience), got in somehow, and started going there. Now in my second year.
Mind you, I chose not only the profession but also the course in a matter of minutes (on a whim, really). Basically, I put down a couple of things I MAY be interested in (didn't really know, tbh), the teacher suggested a uni for one of them, and I just went for it. Again: minutes. At most. For everything. I wasn't kidding.
Still surprising myself on how impulsive I was there... Heck, I took way more time choosing a room than the university/course/profession/etc. Ironically, I didn't get my first (or second) choice for that.
So you didnt need reccomendations, essay or anything?
Just curious: were you a senior when you picked this bc it sounds like you were much younger
@@alexxzhangg I think I was at the end of grade 11 (16 going on 17 y/o)
@@briannaex8627 I had to write a letter of motivation and had an interview (a brief one), along with the usual CV and whatnot. Surprisingly, I didn't need a letter of recommendation (or, at least, I didn't send one in)
Damn 🙌🏼
Are you enjoying the college and major?
Some factors might be more important than others! You need to do a weighted measurement with the top 1 to 3 factors!
it is weighted
I need the exact same video but on choosing majors pls!!!
Oooo this will be VERY helpful!
The only thing which could possibly go wrong is not the math but the rating you decide to give to the particular college for a particular factor.
I’m in 5th grade rn and I hope your still making these videos when I’m in High school
I’m in a college program and we’re gonna learn about colleges in the second semester. Right now we are figuring out what classes we should take in high school. I’ll definitely take these tips in mind once I get to high school
Hi, what college program is this? Is it online?
Just search up a decision matrix or trade study concept in engineering on RUclips, this is the same concept but without a table, so if you want to put the information into a table because you will understand it easier that way, I would recommend doing so
Bruh 30 seconds my ass lol 😂
This is actually genius but I think I’ll forget it before I ever use it 😂
If you’re just going to end up ranking them at the end, why bother dividing by the total score?
I am using this for high school! Helped me choose the right one!!! I will use this for collage as well!! Thanks so much I love your hacks, facts, and helpful advice!!
I’m currently in college and this is very similar to the merit criteria process we use in engineering design class
I can’t imagine how many crayola markers gohar has went through making all his videos 😂
This is very smart, thank you
I just wanna a put this out here:
THIS IS NOT A 30 SEC HACK
I think the coinflip is better for this. Once you've done you're research pick two and flip a coin for it. The end result doesn't really matter because most of the time while the coin is in the air, you know which school you want more.
Implying that we have a choice… Most people aren’t geniuses and colleges aren’t begging us to go to them.
This is for the people who do have a choice. Which is not you it seems.
@@juice4533 be honest
You have a choice on which to apply to
This won’t be applicable for people applying for Ivy leagues, but rather for the people applying for more attainable colleges or universities
@@kingwarrior5028 ????
Another great tip! Thanks, Gohar!
Cost is huge factor too
Bro do the same thing but divide 100 by them then rank them and you have a match rating for collages that would be the best for you.
Where chase wood at? 😂😂😂
How do I get interested in caring about my future?
People be out here looking about food, How good the classes are, what kind of activities are at school, I'm over here just looking at the price. I for one don't want to be in debt for the rest of my life.
This is sort of what I did, I really just found the weighted percentage for me but this one is sinpler
Im liking this so for 2 years i could chose my college 😀
It’s also best to ask the students of the universities you passed in questions that could inform you of different aspects of those schools
I just went “oh i never been to this city but heard its a cool place. Oh they accepted my credit.” I didn’t realize later that the school i saw happening to be the only state college to have my major. I am currently in its dorm
Just want to say thank you for bringing great content 😎
dayum RUclips got my back
i needed this rn and i was procrastinating lol
im in 6th grade, but i am sure imma use these things when ill grow up
thanks for the tips :)))
You can use this now to set your goal in academic, I'm saying this to you now so you won't regret it later, bc I'm struggling to pick which high school I want to go to and I'm in 9th grade (high school starts in grade 10). All the best for your future buddy, stay safe ^^
Just remember (x+1)^2 is x^2 +2x +2 and you should be good

I wish I had seen this before my project
I just picked a general location of a few states I liked and found schools I liked in those states. I did campus visits and eliminated some schools. I was left with 4 I loved, it worked out great for me. I recommend this for others if you can.
naviance supermatch!
I do this with choosing professors
im going into high school and this will help a lot thank you
Thank you
Thank you so much for making these videos I'm in 5th grade trying to study hard and maybe in the future get into Harvard. P.s. Your videos really help make my goals slowly come true.
This is the literal sense of how school teaches multiplication
Still young but saving this for when i go to college
Can you make a short on what to do if you are not doing well in Leadership.... Please
There r apps that do the calculations for you. Just check for decision making apps
Well, I want to go to USC and even if my chances of getting in are high I would need to work hard for the scholarship or else I won't be able to attend that university.
Put the names on little pieces of paper and put them in that thing at chuck e cheese that blows tickets around, first one you get is the college you go to.
Imagine deciding your choice of colleges based on what food is available.
Like, I know this university has the best program for my field of study, but I really want Taco Bell, so imma go with the subpar college.
Why I haven't couldn't see it before?
I’m gonna try and watch this when I’m going to college
Or you can use decision crafting 👀
Better tip just do any order after step 3 and boom higher better
Step 6 (The most important one): Make sure you don't mention ANY of the calculation you did on your application.
I'll divide numbers in 30 secs
I am 12 and I wanna learn this thing for the future I don't care if it's hard I don't care if it's easyI will follow you if you do this
“30 second” my ass 😂
Smart
This is exactly how I chose a high school
or creat a program(in programming language) and let the computer do the work😎
My perfect college is NC State, nearby my parents and my home, specializes in what I want to major in, and offers some of the best ROTC I can find (I want to go into the navy after college)
Bro this is just a decision matrix
DAMN I DID THIS EVEN BEFORE THIS VDO
whoaaa. I lost you at step 2... MATH MATH AND MATH!

Or just add all of the total scores for each college and compare them, seems simpler
I don’t even know what I want to do yet
Or just create a scenario in your head where you can only choose one college to go to and that you have to choose in a set amount of time or you won’t go to any college.
Commenting on this so I can find it easily
or spin a wheel
Also know your dealbreakers. I’m going into civil engineering, so any college that didn’t have a good civil engineering program was cut from my list
I couldn't even do the math right, how am I supposed to go to college?
What's the point in the division step
It just makes a smaller number
I really want to go to MIT, but if I don't get scores needed, I'm probably just going to go to the University of arkansas, because it is 20 min from here. While MIT is hours. It is also easier to get in, and it is a good university.
Luckily I still have time to improve (9th grade).
Omg I also really want to get in MIT but too bad I'm an Asian and I don't think my score is good enough I'm grade 11
@@khoibut6206 whats your GPA
How do I do that when I don’t know my timetables well 😭
Not doing allat
Do you now what a good school would be if I wanted to be a animator
My main priority is food
Well after all that I basically only have community colleges to pick from
First decide why you want to go. Don’t forget trade schools take a lot less time and money and will land you a great career! Plumber, electrician, heavy machine operator, line operator, mechanic ect! Your debt would be paid off and you’d be buying your home a nice vehicle before the college grad would be out of school with their degree!
Sing what do you think the best college would be for a 10-year-old because my brother wants to start planning very early for some reason or he just wants to know cuz he watches you a lot
if you’re really ten don’t stress. if you really wanna start planning think about what you wanna do/be when you become and adult. it might sound like an easy question but think about the salary and the community and what education you need.
If this is a 30 second hack then I'm an attack helicopter
Lol he just text booked a real life choice.
After learning this
I dont need college
I didn't understand a word he said but ima do this without the math so basically I rate the most important thing how good the quality, quantity should be then I add it and then research colleges and rate the college on the things u rated first then add it do this with many other Colleges and see which is the closest number he kind of said the same thing but I just didn't understand and did not want to do all of that math
I'm in 8th technically but I do ninth grade work. I have been homeschooled all my life except pre-k, and am going planning to go to college for music
im ab to be a freshman and i cant stand doin all dis math but i wanna go to college lord have mercy 😫🙏🏻
If I know how to rate the college in the first place then I would know which college I would want to go to
"30 second hack" yeah right, this would take me a couple hours💀
This is so complicated
I needed 530/600 points but now because of covid it risen to 570/600
