Great video. I never really thought about it until now but I probably use WD-40 once a week and go through through 4-5 cans per year. WD-40 is successful because it works. It hasn't failed me in 30+ years of using it.
Bloody lifesaver. I've used it to loosen a stuck lock, joints on a door, keeps certain insects away, to remove sticky labels, loosen tight nails, it's brilliant stuff. In my DIY tool kit, I have a can of it.
I'm surprised this video and your channel haven't taken off already. This is excellently put together, researched, edited and narrated, etc. I think your work will be recognized by the big RUclips algorithm in the sky soon.
Something that would have been cool is if you mentioned how nasa used the atlas missle, the original use of wd40, as the base of the murcury atlas launch vehicle that was used in the flight of American astronauts in space, as well as the ivory bit being about piano can
Glad the history of this product is out there. The man that got to play around with it, made it and tweaked it, should get he's credit due where he should.
@@TwoBitHistory to many channels spreading your focus. The quality of content is suffering. I might be wrong and there are different teams working on each channel, but older videos on twobitdavinci has far better cgi and seems better researched.

It’s basically a Swiss Army Knife of lubricants
Great video. I've never used any of their other products, but I always have a can of WD-40 in my truck, and in my house. The stuff is amazing.

Thank you for the kind comments. We have several more videos planned in the near future!
This product did. I'm glad there's a simple history of it.

Funny enough, most of that was in the original script, but unfortunately it had to get cut!

Love your work guys!
Respect!!
Thank You for the kind comments. If you are able to share on Reddit, that would be the Bees Knees!
Why do I love the smell of WD-40?
Because you are a normal Man. You also love the smell of Gasoline, Road Tar, and Cement.
Awesome Video...thanks for sharing and keep it up :)
No joke I keep a small kit in my car wd40, duct tape, flex tape, and flexseal
Awesome vid!
Thanks for the kind comments. And if you share on Reddit, that would be awesome! It will help us grow.
Another good use of WD-40 is wasp killer it's the same sorta recipe as wasp spray
Good to know, I’ve never had a wasps nest, but now I’m prepared!

I’ve used WD-40 to get fire going in the fire pit so I can burn yard trash. It safer than Diesel and gasoline.
That’s an interesting use. You spray it on first and then light it? Or are you actually spraying in front of a lighter?
It's not a marketing company when it started. No sane marketer would name something so long to pronounce. If it were, it would be named Pipsqueak.
Great video. Only now saw the little subscribers. Wierd

Duck oil
My dad sure relies on WD 40.
I can’t remember a time in my 40+ years on this planet, that I haven’t had a can of it in reach. It’s really almost a necessity.
WD40 was used on the Lost in Space Robot in one episode. Will Robison spayed WD 40 on the Robot to stop a squeak.
That is some great trivia! Thanks for sharing
Especially considering balistol is better.
I’ve never seen Balistol. I’ll need to look into it.
i check the price and its too costly, typical german product
Read for bass fishing rubber worms🤙🇺🇸
900th sub
Woot! But 1000th is getting double hearts 💕
Ill be there when it does
This shit is so bad on metal. Even i was smart enough at 5 to NOT use wd40 on my bike chain. Its best use is for killing wasps
LOL. What about Hornets?
I use it on my bike but only for what it is, a water displacer.
