Currently using Alienware 27” aw2721d 240hz monitor. I’m considering the LG34gp950g due to ultra wide and hdr 600. All I do is play games and watch RUclips. Never owned a ultra wide before, are they even worth it? Have you seen the one I’m looking at? Great content by the way.

I use this for gaming and it’s unbelievable for gaming. I bought a custom stand and didn’t use the standard one. I would not call the brightness dim - I’ve never had a game which I felt was too dark.
Should I not get this ?

Greetings, thanks for the video. It helped me a lot on making the decision for buying this monitor. I had a problem though. Some reviews mention because of the back design of this monitor, many vesa brackets won't fit or damage the back of the case. Are you absolutely sure about fitting vesa mounts without any adapter? Most vesa brackets are also suitable for 100x100mm(G5 is 75x75mm) so I have concerns...
This monitor is 75x 75 I belive and as far as damage it is possible the monitor is flat there just use some small washers or spacers very small or medium not large ones and then the Vesa mount 😊 that will solve that problem bc it pushes the Vesa mount away from the physical monitor but not to much that it sinks and tilts down if that makes sense

Do you think I should go for this for gaming (fps plus most other type) and content creation and general consumption when I don't have another ultrawide option in my country? It will cost 730 dollars and my other option is LG Ultragear 27-inch, 144 hz Nano IPS 27GL850 for 535 dollars or Samsung Odyssey G7 27-inch 1000R, 240 Hz, Curved Gaming Monitor LC27G75TQSWXXL for 643 dollars. I will be running them with Amd 3700x and rtx 3070. Thanks.

Dude, first of all it does support HDR and second of all it’s not in the monitor program it’s simply in your windows display settings all you need to do is go into your display. Go to windows HD color settings click use HDR that simple. I’ve been using it since it works perfectly fine. I’m not hating on your channel or anything. I just hate when people don’t do their studies. That’s all I’m saying

Lol, you didn't listen. The monitor isn't bright enough for HDR content and the panel has no local dimming, so it's going to look like shit
He was talking about the brightness for true hdr. They say it's 1k nits but in real world content it's like 500 nits lol
Also the color gamut isn't as good as they say but it is a good monitor I think people overthink specs like this all I care about is what my eyes percieve not numbers. I've found myself loving dimmer oled tvs over bright ones even! I turn my sony a90j down to low to get the image I like lol. Also not worried about accuracy on the eotf curve.
I bought this monitor and returned it 3 days later. I wanted to use it mainly for sim racing but since the track you are racing is is mainly grey/dark the smearing was REALLY bad. Also i had 4 dead pixels one of which was right in the centre. But dang.. that 1000rr curve though.. the smearing just was too much for me sadly..
You're making me a little worried because I got it solely for iRacing and ACC, but still got it for only 360$ on sale so
Can't you just change your settings to fix the smear?

Ive got this one, and im not happy with it. If you use the MBR function the edges around things are whited out. it cant cycle grey to grey fast enough for the 165hz rate. At 100hz the story changes though. u get 10 bit color depth and it feel better. Think this is a max overdrive 120hz panel, feels like its better at 100-120 hz
also would like to add that the 1ms is a lie. it has an asterix after it. 165hz gives a frame time just shy 7ms if your gpu can provide 165fps. which yours clearly did not since u measured 10ms response. gl in the future and i hope u get more tech savvy if ur gonna do these kinds of vids.
I got flickering problems with this monitor, it seems to be a normal thing with them to, had to return it.

I just upgraded my monitor a couple days ago since my Asus Predator died for the second time. I looked at this monitor but no g-sync sunk it for me. I went with the LG Ultragear. Not an ultrawide but big enough.
it's not officially G-sync, but it is compatible.
i found it on sale for over 250 euro cheaper then normal so im gonna take those negatives as is. If it would still be 600 then i would've taken something else but i guess its worth it at that price

Well sh!t here's a sign from the gods if i've seen one, mine is supposed to arrive in couple of days guess still have till then to find a better one in the same price range so i can have in good conscious a good reason to deny on delivery.
Appreciate the right to the point approach, just wished if you could've in the same time shown some of the tests results specifically in the differences between the 165-144-120 and the effects in closeups while playing for example, newly subscribed keep it up 👍🏼

i have had this monitor for 1 year and it is just not worth it, i regret being to lazy to return it when i had the option, the color washes up no matter how much you play with settings, i use this monitor with a dell2721dgf and the difference is HUGE, what amazed me the most is that HDR make the everything so much worst, i had to turn it off and play with the settings to make it acceptable, anyone that read this and want to buy this monitor, honestly, try to find something better even if you had to put some extra money, a monitor is a very important factor in your gaming experience, don't mess up by been cheap, buy a worst case for you pc or something
Oh yeah one last comment as far as the stand my table that it's sitting on is very stable so nothing even playing storm

I got this monitor for playing warzone on my xbox series x. The quality is sh*t. When I change the change the screen size from wide to "17 , the display quality turns out okay. Stil not as beautiful as they claim to be; no hdr to be noticed. When I hook it up to my MacBook the quality is good and there is nothing to complain about. But that is not what I bought this display for. Real dissapointment...
