Are u able to place some system apps on your external storage stick/card, or should u leave the system apps on the internal? Apps like, Ambient Mode, Activity Stub, Android Accessibility Suite, Android Service Library, ect..?
I bought AUKEY brand from AMAZON , is little more expensive, better quality & warranty, BUT man what a relief , WTF Google was thinking put only 4.2GB , when u download 10 apps is all filled up & no more room for updates! so basically Chromecast TV is NOT $50 is $95
Thanks for your comment. When you set up the Chromecast on a device it runs you through screen orientation and sizing. Other than that it could be the resolution or format that is causing an issue
Bought a Chromecast with Google TV. It's a good device however, it can only read FaT32 format .. it's really a pain since most of my HDD is either in exFAT and NTFS. I ended up selling it after 3 days and switched back to Mi Box S.
i bought a similar but not the same brand of usb c type hub, apart from the power issue, is there any other reason why any of the ports on the hub arent working except for the power connection to the chromecast? any of the usb ports arent working and most importantly for me, the ethernet port isnt working as well. i just want to understand why some brands work while others dont.
I would start first with not using the supplied power adapter that the Chromecast came with. I ended up using a higher power cord adapter I got from my pixel adapter
Has anyone experienced problems with the Chromecast with Google TV not retaining customized app arrangement in YOUR APPS after following this video? I can move the app icons and they are retained in place until I either restart and power down the unit to restart it. I never had this issue before hooking up the hub. On the flip side, I now have 2.9gb internal memory free & no issues with apps after moving to SD card. I added an Anker 7-port USB-C hub with a 32gb SD card to free up internal memory. 🤔
@@jeremysluv-pats-n-redsox I can move the icons and they will stay on the first restart or power down/up, but it still randomizes the ordering after that. It would be nice if we could set a sort order, like by name. This is the only bad side-effect I've found from using a hub to expand memory and use ethernet.

how do you adjust the display setting on the Chromecast when I watch tv I can't see the whole screen

If I connect my flash drive to my chromecast with google tv and I go to storage the settings crashes
I unplugged mine then plugged it back in. Also powering unit off then on

All the videos I have seen on this process only seem to show adding apps to the external storage. Can the storage be used for other files?

Hate this device . Framedrops in movies at 4k 60hz have too change it manual all the time depending on the app . ! DONT BUY THIS !
