enjoy your food adventure here in Malaysia. dont forget sight seeing too in Langkawi island, Kota Kinabalu, Pulau Perhentian..also food adventure to Malacca state and Penang Island.
Ohhh did you misse the apom balik at 2:52? Theirs are great. Those are blood cockles not mussels in the fried kuey tiao. Looks delicious. And yes black soy milk is made from black soy beans. I think their nutritional values are higher that the yellow soy beans.
Thanks so much for the info, SimplyMe! That's good to know about the cockles, they tasted different than a mussel so totally makes sense! We had recently had apom balik in Chinatown, Petaling Street (which was so good) so wanted to try some different things at this market ;) thanks for the comment!!

Thank you so much Hüseyin. We loved exploring Turkey so much, and are now so happy to be in Malaysia getting to know this wonderful country as well. We appreciate your kind words, hope you are well :)
Yes!! A big delicacy that's for sure 😉 the market there in KL is a great place to explore and eat, we had such a great time checking it out. Thanks so much for watching and commenting😊
I like get some taiwanese sausage in skewer. The top layer is an egg and the bottom layer is pancake dough and it look confused when that burger looked the same when is cooked. It's an unique fruit tart. Carrot and Turnip are from the same veggie/root family and is Turnip Cake according to Cantonese, but Carrot Cake to Malay locals there. I'm sure Uncle Bob's Fried Kung Fu Chicken is better than KFC. The manufacturer grounded the black beans blended with soy beans is how black soy milk was made. It's not too sweet because Chris asked for little sugar. As for the Fried Ice Cream, all he did is to deep fried the dough for a short time and managed not to melt the ice cream filling inside. Curry Fish Balls is one an ideal street foods. Steph last meal suppose to be Char Kway Teow rather than Kway Teow and is one of my favorite malaysian rice noodles dish.
There are two types of soya bean, the yellow one and the black one; both are imported from China. You got the black soya bean milk. BTW, the black-colored sugar is palm oil sugar.
If you hv the time and budget, try going to borneo. Sarawak laksa is good. The late anthony bourdain loved it. Rip. And kolok mee in cantonese kow lou mein meaning noodles mixed with gravy or sauce. In sarawak they have their own version of dry noodle. In sabah they have bbq wild boar called sinalau bakas. Eaiting food in penang and KL is different than in borneo.
I noticed there's a lot less ppl n a lot of stalls did not open. Judging from ur video, I estimate it's just about 40% of d normal crowd. Must hv rain b4 this.
That's funny you say that! It did rain before the night market, it poured most of the day just to stop around the time it was set to begin, so we think a fair few stalls didn't turn up
While u in Malaysia maybe u should try Malay food and Nonya food . So far u only eat Chinese and Indian food. Explore more. If u can get to Borneo side of Malaysia check out kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
@@johnnycage558 why didn't you suggest to Mizi and Blimey some other food then? Maybe they didn't have enough exposure, so they only eat certain kind of food. irumaz Gnawa only suggest they (Hungry two travel) other Malaysian cuisines as we are so diverse. This is what makes Malaysia so unique.
Chris instead saying gei hau sek better say it hau sek or hau hau sek ...due to gei hau sek just showing that your foods is just not bad...but hau sek or hau hau sek means your food's good or very good
for all ur vdeo... normally u eat.. chinese and indian food only.. so many etnnic in malaysia..huge losses.. btw ... welcome to malaysia... yes... malaysia truly asia....

One of the best places to go for on a budget. One of my best stalls would be the Chow Tau Fu. A delicacy definately need to try.😆

If you want to experience another night market, there's one on Monday night at SS 2, Petaling Jaya.
Thanks for the suggestion, Alex!

Hi Hing-Cheong, thanks for your comment! There was so much tasty food to try at that market, we really enjoyed it all. Have a great day!
The next night market you can go to Setia Alam Klang valley is longer than Taman Connaught and has a lot of food
Yes we heard of that one as well! We'll have to see if we are able to fit it in too, thanks for the suggestion :)
But is very far from KL thou
Thai style skewers sweet glace from the palm sugar used to soften the meat, next time should use
"How how sek" = very nice
"Kei how sek" = quite nice
Yes! We love the sweetness of the pork skewers, can't get enough☺️
The green vegetable in the carrot cake and fried koayteow is actually chives, and not green onion.
Ooo thanks for letting us know!!
Malaysia is a food center to try , a recommend try Ikan Bakar ( Baked Fish )
Thanks for the suggestion, Khang :) Malaysia is such a food centre!
Enjoy the food 👍
Thank you!!
I want to go to that night market!!!!
So much food to try! It was crazy, you could get lost wandering around it, sampling your way through it all🤣

not palm oil sugar, oh no no no hahaha. it's just palm sugar made from nira (coconut)
saw u drooling while u were looking at the sausage lol
🤣🤣🤣 you got me, it made my mouth water I couldn't help it :D
Hello, a really nice vid. Btw, do they have 7-11 market web in Malaysia? Is it popular there and well-equiped for a cool meal?
Tnx
