@User 2389 Watches are poor man's investment. There are stocks, crypto, commodities out there in the market which can make so much more money for those who care about such things. Otherwise when people say 'better value' they mean VFM when buying something. At $4k Aqua Terra offers roughly as much value for a watch as $9k Datejust, so it has a much better VFM hence it is a better value purchase.
This thing is PER-FECT. I literally cannot find anything wrong with it. I've tried it on twice at the AD, let me tell you those hour indices go crazy in the light, it really pops.
A personal favourite, and my grail watch that I hope to actually afford one day (unlike my other grail, the VC Overseas). Literally the only think stopping this from being a prefect watch is the absence of a micro-adjustment on the bracelet, or some form of quick release. That said, the recent Constellation bracelet update includes a 2mm micro-adjust, so here's hoping Omega updates the AT bracelet with that soon.
@@dasmesser1 All the Omega double fold clasps need it. Thankfully, the extension on the Constellation bracelet is part of the folding arms, not the clasp itself (quite ingenious really), so it should easily retrofit onto other clasps.
@PostBakka That they do, and I also now have a new favourite watch. Still kinda sad that this comment is 3 years old, and Omega only just got around to putting the Constellation's "comfort clasp" on something else.
I love the AT so much! I have the 2015 stainless steel vertical “decking” and date at 3pm with gold indices and hands with brown leather strap and it is my favourite watch in my collection!
Great review. Just got mine recently and it hits on all points. The small links give enough room for a good fit. If you don't like the polished metal links you can have a good jeweler brush them. I have bigger wrists (7.5 ") and it's just right and it even looks great on smaller wrist, those end links just contour down. It's a low key luxury watch that stands out...but not in a blingy way.
One of Omega's best recent pieces, it's hard to decide between this and the prior 8500 in blue...I did a comparison and found the 8900 to be more comfortable.
The only thing I like better about the 8500 is that it’s 1mm thinner. Other than that, the 8900 is an improvement in every sense. I also think it looks so much cleaner with the date at 6 and I love the jumó hour feature
@@mariog7213 I think many people share your feelings about the 8900. The 8500 does also have the quick set hour hand feature. I think the lug and case design of the 8500 is more beautiful and sculpted looking, but I do find the 8900 more comfortable due to the shorter lugs and better clasp.
Love the watch, but they can make it better by: -Fixing the design of the bracelet, give it micro adjustment on the same level as Rolex -Make it in higher grade steel and give it a Rhodium-like dial and make it thinner
My next choice completing my Omega collection: my Chronsoscope, the avantgarde, my de Ville annual, the elegant noble dress watch und this AT my future sporty casual for every day. All Omegas with somewhat special.

All the watch you may ever need really, a force to be reckoned with. An ‘only’ watch contender of the highest calibre. Can you tell I love this watch? 😍
Perfect in so many ways. What I don't like though, is that there is next to no curvature on the lugs. They should at least curve down so that the first articulation of the bracelet sits around the plane of the bottom of the caseback. No human has a concave wrist right? It only makes utter sense to do it that way, but Omega hasn't here. The very short lug to lug and female end links makes up for it a bit. But still. They could have fixed it with a thinner movement, then without changing the case design even. Alternatively, with sharply curved male end links, or a more curved case and lugs overall.
Bought the 38mm blue dial last year and sold it a few months later for personal reasons. That said - I couldn’t ever read the time on a glance - the hands just disappeared into the dial. So frustrating!
This watch is an extremely good watch for 2/3 less the price that of Rolex. The movement in this watch neats any comparable movement Rolex makes. The difference is price is simply due to brand recognition.
I have the exact same watch but i have a problem, when i set the time and push the crown back in, the minute hand will move slightly resulting in inaccurate time setting. Is this normal?
Notice how the hour hand won't point directly at the hour indices ? I think there is a inherent problem with the movement or 99% of them have this issue. Mine does :( Anyone have an explanation ???
If they’d make it with a flat candy pink dial in the style of the new Rolex Oyster Perpetual , not mother of Pearl I’d order one . The Rolex , stops at 36mm in that colour , not that you’ll be able to get one
As always terrific review! Love the bracelet, don’t love the adjustability. Any suggestions for a another bracelet with adjustability? Thanks and happy new year!
I bought a rubber strap which is more adjustable and am strongly considering a brown strap that fits the omega clasp... Brown strap on this looks awesome

Just tried on this again at AD. I love the watch dial and features of the AT. However, I just could not get pass the bracelet. The bracelet is really cheap and has not weight to it at all. It’s really poor in my opinion for the price tag. The bracelet on my Planet Ocean is way better quality.it’s sad because this is a great watch.
