- A look at the new, green Aqua Terra from Omega (220.10.41.21.10.001). It might be one of the best out there.

I dont know Why subscribers dont increase More quickly. This channel is top quality
I know! I was surprised, this channel only has 18k subs. It's definitely one of my favorites, with its top-notch good music, broll, and story
exactly!
@@SteveFWatches based on the quality it should be up There with some hundred thousands as teddy. I guess the volume of clips matters
Thanks! Maybe it's because I don't do those silly video thumbnail images with my confused face and me pointing at something.
@@YoureTerrific lol! I hate those, stay real man
I bought this watch last week and I simply can’t get my eyes off it. It is so elegant, classic, yet it can be worn with shorts and flip flops if you wanted to. This is my first luxury watch and I’m more than happy that I decided go to for this one. Absolutely love it and I can’t wait to wear it out to special occasions! Great review btw!
After lots of research, this video tipped me over the edge. Bought this watch a year ago, still don’t regret it. It’s my everyday watch. Just wanted to revisit this and say thanks for an awesome recommendation
The Aqua Terra is such an underrated watch.
It goes with everything.
I totally want one lol but it’s a bit out of my budget right now
@@Goose619 preowned? I have the quartz and and auto both have gone up in price
Ever since I've discovered your channel, there's only one comparison that comes to mind: you're the MKBHD of horology. Big thumbs up!
Greetings from Germany
The midnight kelp part killed me xD great video!
Thanks, Jenni!
Agree that was pretty funny, and yet I could picture that color in my head.
that quick set hour hand is a nice touch
It's good and bad. I think I'd rather a quick set date though...
@@JamesK1963 Totally fair. But if you travel or for daylight savings, it rocks.
@@pauljang9554 I do travel, but since this would never be a daily wearer for me, I'd have to change the date a lot more. Either that or get a winder...
Yours in one of the most underrated YT watch channels. Fan of your work thank you!
Wow, thank you!
"midnight kelp" 😂 their marketing team had a stroke
Ha, they can do better than just "green".
Went into a AD the other day deciding to pull to trigger on an Omega after coming to terms that a Rolex is out of the quest for the moment. I’ve known a little about Omega but not much. The AT blue dial drew me right to instantly. I love this watch it is truly gorgeous. Went from my first watch a Citizen, to this after 15 years so this is a huge upgrade. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase in this lovely piece.
Thank god you 'pulled the trigger' ... 🙄 honestly the worst cliche in watch purchasing there is.
@@markwood7045 about to pull trigger on yacht master 🔫
I owned the 38mm version for roughly a year. I absolutely loved it and miss it all the time. I've tried on the 41 and found it to be just a tad too large for my liking, even though I own a Tudor Pelagos, lol. This green dial, though, wow. Great video.
Another great video! I traded my IWC Mark XVIII for an Aqua Terra 8900, grey dial. I love it, and it's so much more watch than the IWC, apart from its lume - the minute hand just gets lost in the dial at night. Still, that 8900 is fantastic! The timezone function makes it pretty useful for us aviators.
Probably still one of the best watch channels there is. Genuinely excited when I see you post a new video, less excited when I see the price tag of these timepieces. One day (or that’s what I keep telling myself).
When you see it in the flesh it’s absolutely stunning!
Agreed
I Agree with you completely. This is the perfect 1-Watch-Collection. And MUCH better than the Data Just. The only reason I haven‘t bought it is that I already own specific watches: a dedicated dive watch, a dress watch, a field/aviator watch… but this one could do it all. And maybe I will add it to my collection since this is the perfect travel watch you could wear for every event - beach to blazer.
I bought a Seamaster instead over a year ago and love it to death, but I won't lie, this watch is STUNNING, ugh now I want another!!!
YASSS! Lived for this video! You’re actually serving some top shelf shit! One of my favourite channels! 😍👏🏻 so dang good!
Thanks!
Gahhhhh been debating getting this for a while, but was leaning tudor GMT... Now I learn this has a jumping hour hand. Not making things easy. Great content!
Hot take: Quick set hour hands are, along side dates, the most useful complications out there (I mean ACTUALLY useful).
I think it depends on if you're traveling or not. If you just want to set the time (hours and minutes), you have to use two different crown positions rather than one.
@@YoureTerrific That's fair. But I'd rather occasionally use two crown position to readjust the time (Omegas are very accurate so it wouldn't be too much of a hassle) while being able to quickly change hours when power reserve has run out, when timesaving comes twice a year, or when I travel (as you said). I don't necessarily think it's convenient, but it's definitely useful
Don't forget the diving bezel. Much more useful than a chronograph.
@@23Nostromo32 true, but timing things as a whole isn't as useful as telling the time and date (but it's in second place for sure)
Great review, Evan! Couldn't agree with you more. I've only owned my AT since 2019, but it was the first watch that caught my eye when I got into the hobby in 2017. I genuinely think it would be my pick to keep if I had to get rid of every watch in my collection except for one. As you mentioned, it can cover pretty much every single base when it comes to lifestyle, which is a major plus for people wanting a one watch collection.
Well said! And great choice on the watch.
The backwards ticking seconds hand at the end of the video was unnerving! ...and awesome.
It sis a gorgeous watch and I was prepared to not love the shade of green when I tried it on, but what surprised at how, even in the terrifying lighting found in a jewelry store, the dial manages to change colors quite a bit. I like the subtlety...but not the bracelet. Hey for emerald, go Formex! Great review Evan. As always.
👍
I am in the priveleged position to own this wonderful timepiece (In blue). I actually bought it after returning a date just I'd purchased the day before. This watch leaves me feeling fuzzy every time I glance at it. Hearing you say it's phenomenal makes me feel like for the first time I'd received a glowing school report (The boy did good). I kinda like it's a watch fewer people talk about and can I just add, despite you're amazing camera work, this watch looks better in the metal than any picture i've seen. Thanks for the best Damn watch channel out here !!!
I have 38mm version black dial. It is absolutely stunning timepiece. Fully satisfied.
Always liked the aqua terra!
I got mine Monday, sized Tuesday and been wearing it since. Great watch! Sunlight plays amazing games with this one.
Great video. Just bought the blue one. Very pleased with the Omega experience.
As an owner of that exact same model phenomenal sums it up perfectly.
I have the 15 gauss and love it. Build quality Is better than Rolex
Omega has so many gorgeous colours and yet.. I want the black dial. 🤣
I own the 38 AT anniversary edition summer blue dial - thought it was a little flashy at first but I always reach for it, usually dressing in jeans and logo tee 😂 - girl here
Totally agree and have a blue dial 8900 caliber. Greatest movement twin barrel 60 PR. Beats a Rolex OP anyday!
I have very skinny wrists so opted for the Blue dial 38mm version. It's a beautiful watch. The way the light catches on the hands and hour markers is perfect.
I agree - the Aqua Terra is awesome! I owned the black version on the rubber strap 2 years ago. In the end I sold it because it was a little too thick for me and I missed the quick set date as this wasn't my only and also not my travel watch. Additionally I don't like the crown action and perception of it. It didn't feel secure between my fingers while winding the watch after it stopped before. Yeah that's a lot of small pet peeves but in the end all together just prevented me from keeping it. Nevertheless this is more of a personal perception and I also think that the watch itself is one of the best choices in the price range! Great presentation as always!
3:50 "Less frequent servicing..." The thickness of the watch and movement also lend to less frequent servicing, not just the coaxial escapement. It was intentionally designed to be beefier than needed for this very reason.
That Monty Python reference hit me so good lol. Bravo
Glad someone noticed it!
Great review! those are exactly the reasons I own Omega Aquaterra watch. great watch!
Tried the AT at the AD. Of all the dial variations the green is the looker. Shame it isn't offered in the 38.5. if it were available I'd likelys pass up, the DJ36 steel and Santos case thickness does so much for everyday comfort/wearability.
Out of curiosity, you mentioned that the Aqua Terra can easily be acquired under MSRP, even up to 1k. Is there a specific marketplace or method of obtaining it more cheaply that you'd recommend? Any particular things to keep in mind (e.g. warranty, etc) when not acquiring directly from Omega?
The blue is also stunning.
It sure is
Stunning watch
Green rubber strap would look awesome on this piece 👌
I’m a fan of this everyday type watch. The only thing I’m not sure about is the 13mm thickness. It might be 1 or 2mm too thick. But still, I love it.
Think I'm getting the 38 blue. Agree about the bracelet, no butterfly and all brushed
I love your earnest style and impecable production quality man. It’s a real treat when you upload a new film. One thing, I humbly request a video or two of more affordable watches of your choice. Thank you. Keep it up, love your channel.
Thanks, David. I think that’s a great idea. I’ll see what I can borrow.
@@YoureTerrific thanks, I really appreciate it.
Beautiful and that dial is my favorite of all
Like the watch, if only it had a fully brushed bracelet. I would strongly consider one (white / black / orange I think)
Yes, they used too. I'm glad that mine does. The Skyfall.
Ultra like to this video!! I really appreciate the production of your content, greetings from Bolivia
Very underrated watch. Perfect as EDC.
Your remark on the need to try it on your wrist is sooooo true. For all watches! I was more or less set on bying the black or blue dial version of the aqua terra last year as my first mechanical watch. After doing a lot of research online (what else to do during covid, right?) it seemed like the correct and most obvious choice of all time. On paper. However, when I eventually got to try them on, it didn't "feel" right. For captain overly rational, that was a real letdown.
All the numbers can't give the full picture. Need both quantitative and qualitative data.
The skyfall aqua terra is my favorite omega and this green dial is among the best aqua terras as well
I want the white dial in 41mm so bad!
It is a phenomenal watch in a unusual colour. But Omega should update the 8xxx movement series to a thinner version with a tad more power reserve, If you see when this was introduced, it is difficult to fathom that a company like Omega has not come up with a newer version of it’s movement. If you look at the speed at which grand seiko is going with their movements...
I'll get this watch.
Skyfall blue vertical stripes 38.5mm is the one to get. Unique (vertical) design, perfect size and it s a bond watch!!!
The date window frame on the Skyfall is really nice.
Once that bracelet gets updated I'm sold.
This watch is stunning. Reminds me of Rolex OP
Quick set hour hand is cool. Definitely not seen it elsewhere
"Midnight kelp." You really are terrific.
👍
I’ve had the blue dial for 3 years and damn it’s just so good. I need some strap alternatives though. The Omega rubber looks superb but it’s like $600.
I just got an Artem sailcloth band, navy with white stiching and RM deployant, for my slate (blue secondhand) 41 mm AT. Fantastic watch band for $171 with quick-release springbars. Lots of great reviews on RUclips, too. Check them out. I love it better than the Omega rubber strap that is available with the ATs. Check it out.
You spoil us sir, amazing video as always! (+1 for midnight kelp)
Again a great review, you are the best reviewer i know! Not standard just very pasionate.
Have the blue dialed 41mm. Love it and it does look great on leather. Agreed with other commenter on bad lume though
This is my favorite iteration of the aqua terra.
Same
Nice presentation, subscribed. A beautiful watch, I'm thinking about one as my next watch.
I have wanted the Cartier Santos and the omega 300 diver for years and finally I am ready to buy one , I will go to omega this weekend , to decide , but in this last week I am falling in love with the aqua terra, I was almost certain set on the 300 or santos but I really like this watch I can’t wait to see it in person , I’m starting to think it’s the watch I’m gonna walk out with 😅 so excited!
Great review! I agree with you on everything except the polished centre links (love them) and the colour of the green dial. I thibk they nailed the green dial, most lighter green dials look tacky IMHO
Agree wholeheartedly. Recently I got one with the green dial. I like the polished center link and the dark olive color. Except that I wish they had a 38 mm version on the green.
They look fantastic on Omega branded NATO straps.. wearing my blue one almost exclusively that way for over a year.
Keep up this standard, you are gonna boom soon!
The dial colour is great, no need to be vibrant. I do agree that the dial horizontal lines marketing is boring but well done and nice. Wish this dial variant are made in smaller diameter.
Great video! I think the AT is phenomenal too.
the 2002 white with blue hands at 1:06 is gorgeous
Better watch between Santos and DJ no doubt !! Great content and perfect review.
Not so sure about that. Santos is a better looking, more stylish watch. In addition, the quick switch and smart link systems + the alternate strap makes the Santos very, very versatile. The Santos is also antimagnetic to 1,200 gauss (!). That said, bug advantage to AT with 150M water resistance and screw down crown. All that said, AT is an excellent GADA watch but I would give the Santos the nod.
the aquaterra is literally the first thing that comes up when you search up omega
I just measured, and my wrist is 24cm, or 9.5 inches, so the 41 would be fine if the strap is long enough or if I can get a bracelet with some extra links. I really like the see through case back and the interesting 8900 caliber movement.
Great video, thank you. This watch is beautiful, but yeah to me reminds me of the DJ.
Please review the seamaster aqua terra small seconds
I am aiming to buy the blue dial with blue rubber strap
Thank you
I have the green dial AT and love it.
Do you have it on bracelet or green leather strap? I know that most collectors recommend bracelet always cause if you sell it, it sells better that way, but if I buy it, I'll keep it, and I love the green leather strap it comes on.
@@jimlittle5769 the bracelet, I have a big wrist and it fit perfect with all the links.
I personally think that this channel is top quality just as Watchfinder
Great video. And I love the Holy Grail reference at 2:11!
👍
My favorite watch!
Nice review, luckily I own both of them 😊
The Aqua Terra is my next Omega and on of their best with the 6:00 date.
Nice work, man. Love your vids.
Thanks so much.
Great review! This green dial is 🤑
I liked the green Aqua Terra the best but it didn’t have a rubber strap that went with it so I bought the blue slate.
This watch hits different baby I swear.
I think the Omega Aqua Terra is more comparable to the Rolex Explorer I.
I own both and I don't think it does. More comparable to DJ41 without fluted, jubilee. AT is too flashy to be compared to E1
I’ve been looking at the black dial but this green dial looks awesome
i have the 8500 version of the golf green. by far one of my favs. i dont care for the polished links on the newer versions.
I really like the green and slate (blue second hand) versions of the Aqua Terra. You show how it looks on various bands. I think the green dial would also look great with the Omega Aqua Terra Black rubber deployment band.
Haa I bought the sea blue aqua terra yesterday. The green one was definitely better looking but it came with a nato strap alternate band ,, where the sea blue one came with a rubber strap and deployant clasp alternate band. So I went with the sea blue.
Awesome content as always
Appreciate it!
Still like the 1st gen the most. Came in 36mm and the dial makes you forget you wanted to check the time.
Have one and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Nicely done
hey this wears unexpectedly handsome!
Do I just sack off waiting for an OP and just get this?
Had one and returned it to exchange for a Planet Ocean.....kinda regretted it since. The AT green is such a classy piece.
Haven't even finished the vid yet but thumbs up and subscribed simply because of the Monty python reference.
I love your navy shirt!
