The clones went from being background characters when they were first introduced to being arguably the most developed and beloved characters in all of Star Wars now. Their story is both epic and tragic
And now they should make the same with stormtroopers.
@@attilafekete7892 maybe but we don't know any of the stormtroopers' names. Also I don't have any emotional attachment to any of them.
@@nathanielzoelle That's the problem. That's why we need more stories about stormtroopers. We love the clones becouse they were given a name in the comics, books and shows. I like how the spinoffs and extended universe put more depth and meaning into starwars then the actual movies that you never see.
Thank you! Honestly it’s kinda one of my problems with Star Wars as a whole.
It's cause they have more time.
@@mr.nobody5082 amateur thinking. Cuts make the movie/film.
@@elijah3320 I was thinking that. I mean, it’s literally called “extended” universe for a reason 😂. They have more room and time to expand on ideas and plots than the original source material (which was ironically never intended to grow this large or become this deep).
Yeah, the Star Wars universe it quite large with so many moving components that movies alone won't be able to encompass it as a whole.
So depending on the era that's being covered a trilogy alone might not be enough.
- Prequels: The latter part of the Galactic Republic (Has a lot of entities on the "playing board" which includes from political, theological, financial, and militant entities). The story-telling suffered from the quality of writing on top of the scope it had to cover, but Episode III was definitely a proper step towards the right direction.
- Original Trilogy: The latter part of the Galactic Empire (Palpatine had removed an enormous amount of entities from the "playing board" by this time and kept entities from joining the "game").
- Disney Sequels: The latter part of the New Republic (New entities are starting to join the "playing board" once more, so this part of Star Wars truly has a lot space and potential for new expansive materials) Unfortunately the individuals who were key-decision makers for Sequel Star Wars weren't too knowledgeable of in-universe lore and established framework so they weren't keen on expanding continuously from in-universe Star Wars and attempted to replace/overwrite foundational frameworks instead of building upon said foundations.
The bad batch show really was the missing part of the whole clone to stormtrooper transition.

The clones are really tragic characters in star wars. I'm glad you showed it here. Perfectly done, as always🥰
It's worse then that of all the characters they where the most tragic. The forced in to existence and breed for war. Even though they where courageous and honorable and loyal they where forced to turn on Jedi and Republic that they served with honor. They deserved better.

I love how at 1:01 - 1:13 you showed a comparison between Rex & Slick’s conflict with each other to Crosshair & Hunter which is in fact ironically the opposite of what Slick was fighting for.Which was freedom outside of the republic for his brothers while Rex was fighting against him out of loyalty towards the Republic. Slick is like Hunter wanting to be free of the empire along with his squad but only it’s the empire this time and Crosshair is ok with being a “good soldier” for the empire

The clone troopers represent the trope of brave but misplaced loyal soldiers so well. Their story is of courage, of siblinghood, of standing against the dark when all that is left is ash but also of betrayal, of hubris and ultimately sacrifice

@@hotdogman7442 clones and mandalorians I would say were kinda on par with each other
@@hotdogman7442 Clones are better soldiers, thats what they are made for.
@@hotdogman7442 Jango Fett was raised by mandalorians, then he was the template for the Clones. Some of the first clones were trained by Kal Skirata who was a mandalorian through and through. The Clones he trained went on to become the Null ARCs, some of the finest soldiers the galaxy ever saw, he also worked closely with Commando squads Delta and Omega. Jango Fett himself trained the Alpha ARCs, who were every bit as good as the Nulls, just more loyal to the Republic. The rest of the Clones were trained by Jedi Master Shaak-Ti, aided by the best bounty hunters money could buy, some of which were undoubtedly mandalorians.
I could argue that at least 2/3 of the Grand Army of the Republic have some form of Mandalorian heritage.
this brings me too much nostalgia, clips of this show over music that is vaguely related, those were the days
0:24 I looooove this:
We have Crosshair, always following orders, shooting on target.
And then Rex, known for his loyalty, who doesn't.
This Rex/Chrosshair transition highlights the question: Who is the good soldier ? and why?
Id say Rex , while good soilsee follow orders you need to know when to disregars your orders , those who walk blindly only following the words of others are simpily puppets doing the dirty job of somone above them
Well, it's like Fives said to the firing squad before they deliberately missed their shots and threw down their rifles: 'This is wrong and we all know it. We follow our orders but we're not a bunch of programmed unthinking droids, we're men.' It's also reflected in the other Clone (I don't remember his name right off hand) that is talking to his unit about being told to engage the Twi-Leks pretty much saying 'we were sent here to protect these people at one point, now we're being told to fire on them, and I won't do it. Who else will stand with me?' and also throws his gun down, followed by quite a few of his men as well. Droids wouldn't think twice, they'd fire. The clones would have to live with themselves. They knew when to follow orders, and they knew when to disobey their orders. Order 66 never would have succeeded without the chips.
The real question is, if everyone considers themselves to be the hero, who´s the villain?
@@gamingwith3033 Me, I'm the villain 😏

Star wars republic commando, the clone wars, bad batch, and rebels tells the entire story of the clones, from the beginning to the very last remnants of clone life in the star wars universe. It's very powerful and painful to remember their story. Hard not to respect them. Clones don't get alot of love from people not into star wars but they were an integral part of the story and deserve the respect the same as the jedi get

Never gets old. This is a masterpiece that manages to live up to portraying the masterpiece known as The Clone Wars.
I grew up waiting for each episode to come on in the morning before school. I still wake up and watch it occasionally before work now. This is one of the best tv series of all time

This is why TCW should've been the first two Prequel movies.

This was incredible, especially the transitions in the latter half of the edit. So smooth! Great work.
You know when you watch those movies and it gives you that tingling feeling because its really epic scene? yeah that's what happened here after the entirety of the clone wars was covered in 1 song...
Raised to fight as slaves in a war they had no place in. The clones are the real victims of the clone wars
“It was the day I felt my life didn’t have any meaning. Everyone I cared about, my team, was gone. I was just another clones waiting for my turn to get slaughtered in a war that made no sense to me”

I think the amount of people who care about the clones really shows how irl they would be treated as they wished. Individuals of outstanding bravery and courage.

The cut from hunter into commander thorn firing off the minigun is so clean and it just looks so good. The whole edit is fantastic but that moment in particular really stuck out to me. Love the cuts and how each shot flows off of one another. Badass!
I find the story of the clones kind of sad. They were controled by bad people and were forced against their will. The clones fought hard to keep the peace, they did that, until they got turned to the empire. This song was a great background for what was going on in this video. Good job man.
One of the saddest things I ever think of when ever I watch clones wars or bad batch I can always see Palpatine's victims in everyone especially the clones
OH MY GOD THIS WAS SO EMOTIONAL

It feels very sad to see that not alot of people care about Those Vailent,Brave and Unique Troopers, even when they might just be a background Clone...
This makes me tear up just like the clone tribute with the song We are soldiers, that last little faint "I am free" from Fives is so sad, Fives is one of my favorite characters but to basically be executed by Fox after being given a drug that makes him become irrational and crazy is just sad and makes me happy to see what happened to Fox after Anakin becomes Darth Vader to me he remembered what happened to Fives and just wanted a reason to get rid of Fox without his master telling him he shouldn't have done it, sorry for this rant or whatever someone would call it

You either die for the Republic or live long enough to serve the Empire
This needs to go viral
You are insane! This edition is amazing! The clones are the soul of clone wars, their development in the series is amazing.
This really shows how the clones are one of the greatest characters in the Star Wars story. The blending of all the different clone scenes was amazing.
The clones are the real victims of the clone wars
U kicked my feelings with this. Clone Wars and Bad Batch are so great
Zombie is such a fitting song for the clones. Extremely melancholy with a pinch of dread and despair.
Clones are the best soldiers in any film ever. No one can change my mind
i love how clones, beside war are just children discovering their place in the galaxy
they were living beings but were made in the worst purpose
they weren't bad or good, they just did what they were told, they didn't have a choice
crosshair made his choice, even if it seems bad, it was his choice, done without republic orders or chip.
This song fits so well, love it. Love this edit, will forever immortalize the clones. LOVE ITTTT!!!!!

I love how it shows that the empire were the ones that ruined the clones
Because they were the ones that destroyed tipoca city, thus ending the clones forever
This was the most well edited video that I've seen in a while.
It was all so tragic, great editing!
I cried during order 66, after watching clone wars. It gave a new perspective of the clones brotherhood and friendship to the Jedi, and they were forced to kill them. Even Rex during season 7 said he didn’t want to do it, but he felt like he was being controlled. It’s truly sad.
Yep. Right in the feels. Omega at the end with 5's last words playing in the background hits the hardest.
That low-key pulled heartstrings I didn't know I had,the clones got me through so much bullshit when I was little, from my mom leaving me to the emotional trauma of thinking I wasn't a good enough son or good enough for anything yk,but Everytime I saw captain Rex or commander Cody or wolffee or bly, seeing kamino and fives and heavy and echo just made everything better
Another awesome composed video by Darth Porg.
THIS is why i LOVE this channel. You always find ways to connect scenes despite the long amounts of content you have to sift through. TOP TIER.
The editing was fantastic on this, but you really didn’t need to leave me in tears.
The fact that the clones died to save the republic we need to appreciate that , it's also rlly sad when order 66 happened but the clones where the real heroes.
It always warmed my heart whenever the clones very apathetic nature to themselves as individuals was changed as the war progressed because of the morals of some of the Jedi.
Mercs and Kaminoans may have taught them how to fight, but it was the Jedi who taught them to be people.
The clone wars was called "the clone wars" for a reason, not because its was just a prequel show to rots, but because this is a show about the clones
Wow! This was absolutely emotional, especially since it proves why clone troopers will always the best soldiers in the Star Wars universe.
no words, this is a masterpiece.
The clone wars is my favourite of star wars and this was Bloody AMAZING, the edit and bad wolves version of zombie fits so well that it felt like a clone wars trailer of awesomeness.
This edit really gave me goose bumps, I love it
I'm officially addicted to this video !
Thanks you litteraly gave me energy for the day !
This song fits strangely well, the clones were meant to be like zombies, without a mind to make their own choices. The entire purpose of their existence was war, but they still had a soul through it all.
The series and the clones are excellent, this has been established, but can we just take a moment and appreciate the stellar editing here?! One clone getting shot and it, on impact, cuts to another one shot in the same place reacting to the hit, or punches landing in time with the music from multiple different episodes. Just so nicely cut together my jaw couldn't help but drop. And stella choice in music, of course
“ Today we fight for more than the Republic. Today we fight for all of our brothers back home.” - Captain Rex
The clones were for many of us our first examples of sacrifice and bravery.
OMG, this edition was perfect! The music, the cuts, the way the scenes fit together... Thank you so much for that! Best edit about clones I've ever seen. It was wonderful
This is such a beautiful portrayal of everything I love about Star Wars. The way the Clone Wars developed the clones and the Jedi was gorgeous and I nearly broke the TV when Fives died and Ashoka left.
Clone wars will always be one of the most legendary the series, both personally and of all time.
This was Epic but also tear drenching as I've watched them from the beginning to the very end, the Clones will always have been a Force to be reckoned with.
I love this edit and would love to see more. Please keep making these, everyone. Don't let those 6 series die.
This was great. Even though the clone wars series gave us so much about the clones i still feel like i didnt get enough. Bad batch, season 7, the republic commandos books? All amazing but i feel like i need more. I want to know what some of the ones who never received 66 did with their lives after the war. Like the one clone trooper Luke found on a planet he crash landed on. He was the last clone of his group to survive and was left behind. no one knew he was still there. He fought off some stormtroopers with luke and joined the rebellion.
The clone's multiple stories are never over for me
Poor Ahsoka :(
In starwars i find it sad how some of the best soldiers and warriors with at times the best equipment possible, were unquestionably the most loyal (the majority of them) and despite knowing only war and giving it their all... they were eventually shelved and left behind.
This video honestly made me shed a few tears, I'm so sad that SWTCW is over. I grew up watching it from the time I was about 9 til now when im 22, this was so well made and put together perfectly.
I’m in no way saying this was anything short of perfection, but I personally believe that if it ended with Fives’ final words, it would’ve hit a little harder.
Its amazing that we still remember the clones
