A couple of years ago, I saw a silent auditor video. He had someone record him in action. He was standing outside a military base. Not important which one. He was on the sidewalk. When two base security persons and two uniformed base police (4 people) came out to him and all started talking to him at the same time. He held up his hand, and pulled a piece of folded paper from his sleeve and gave it to them. They each read it, handing it to each other, the SGT shook his head and motioned to all of them "let's go". They got in the car and left back in the base. He never said a word. He never moved. At the end, he posted his letter he gave them. I copied it. Here it is. Funniest audit response, ever. To Whom It May Concern: If I am handing you this note, I do not wish to have a consensual conversation with you, for any Law Enforcement Officers this serves as notice that I am asserting my fifth amendment right to remain silent. That reminds me of cases where minorities filed lawsuits against the police and fire departments because they were too stupid to pass the tests to become policemen or firemen and they claimed the tests were "racist." So, the tests (for them) were dumbed down so that they could pass and get the jobs they weren't qualified for. That's Affirmative Action in a nutshell and why quotas exist. It's also why the general public looks at minorities in such positions with the suspicion that they're just unqualified tokens deserving of no respect.

They all do suck. The reason I say this is if there is one bad cop in the department then all the cops in that department are bad cops. They need to weed out the actual bad cops so we only have good cops. If a good cop sees a bad cop doing something wrong and does nothing then that "good" cop is also bad. 1 bad apple spoils the bunch.
