I made a super king size last year in dark blue and it is amazing so warm and cosey. I did it in one color I chose the variegated yarn to show how it will look in different colors so it can easily be made with just 1 color of yarn too.
Gorgeous Alison, thank you for showing how to do this, I always thought it a bit daunting to try, you make it so easy. I will now try it by following you video.
Just slightly more complicated than Tunisian C2C, but easier on the stitching. Lovely. Thank you for this tutorial. Now I don't feel so intimidated on a C2C.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. I wanted to make a baby blanket for a coworker. This turned out better than I can hope. Your video was easy to follow. You are a very good teacher! I am trying to figure out a way to show you my finished blanket.
Thank you so very much for this tutorial. For some reason this is an extremely hard stitch for me. No matter how many times I rerun this video I just can't get it. I guess I will just have to keep practicing until it makes sense to me. You are a great teacher, this is just my Waterloo🤔
Thank you for the explanation it was very clear ,it is along time since I've made a blanket in this way so I had forgotten what way to do a rectangle. I love the y
Alison, I needed this video a few months ago😁 I finally overcame my fear and completed 3 throws/blankets in a row. But, I really need to practice making them in the rectangle shape!! Thanks for giving us this video.
I've NEVER done c2c. I've heard a lot about it, but never done it. I love that it gives texture. I would like to do it in all white. Beautiful. And I love how you encourage me that I WILL be able to do it. xo Sweet. My friend Ingrid Kotze told me about your blankets. I just love it.
You should do one in white it turns out fab, i chose the variegated to show how it will also look in one single colorway. Thank your friend Ingrid for me I appreciate her spreading the word about my channel xxx
@@AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel Yes Ingrid Kotze is creating great crochet projects but she's only now started to show that to the world, but she's definitely one of your fans and now, so am I. She joins us daily on the live at Yarn Geek's channel (Ginger). That's where I heard her gushing about you, so I had to check you out. Your variegated blanket is beautiful. Right now, I'm just looking for textured blankets because I want to make it in white and this c2c is lovely textured.
When I was growing up, we had neighbors that were Scottish, you’re accent reminded me so much of these dear, sweet people. This video was very complete from the beginning to the end of the blanket. I have one started, but I didn’t know how I was going to fill it in and end it.
Thanks Alison for this c2c tutorial , been crocheting for eight years and never mastered this , ( not for the lack of trying) so off to grab my hook and yarn .🧶🧶🧶
You've done an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating this C2C pattern. I have a lot of Mandala yarn and had not thought about a C2C blanket this way! Thank you for this video... stay safe and healthy!
Well, I looked at one other channel trying to explain this concept. I fairly experienced, crocheting (self taught) since early teens, and it just was not clear at all how to do this!! She was flipping it so much do it wasn’t clear how to join the flipped part, didn’t explain well any of the video. Yours is extremely clear. Thanks. Because this is a really neat concept, especially if you you use cake or variegated yarns. Thank you! ♥️
Hi Alison. First of all I absolutely love listening to your Scottish accent. Secondly I have now mastered the c2c thanks to you. Finally are you able to tell me the make of the beautiful yarn shown at the start of this video which is grey and pink/peach white? Jeannette
First I want to thank you for going into great details on your instructions....I do very well until its time to decrease..I just end up messing it up😔 will watch it till I get it.
I have never been able to do this in fact I can't remember how many times I've tried and not be able to do it But I have the confidence with your teaching I know I can do it thank you so so much X my dear friend xx Angel blessing and Angel hugs xxx ps I love the sparkle in the wool as you are moving your hook xx
Hello! Just found your channel today! I have lots of Mandala sparkle yarn. It's the 3.5 ounce, 100 grams 328 yard size. number 3 light weight yarn. I am in the US. I have never been able to make a C2C, but thought with your tutorial I would try. How many skeins do you think I would need to make a baby blanket
Yes you can! it is soft and squishy. I understand about the sparkly yarns my sister, June can't work with it either she can;t stand the metallic thread woven into it. they do normal yarns too.
I used a uk 5mm you can use whatever the wool label says, mags Xxx or change it if you want to. I do it all the time. Sometimes wool feels a little thin and i know my tension is slack so i will go down a size and with thicker yarns I jump around from hook to hook as my tension changes any pattern its even slacker with thicker yarns.
Thank you so much for making this stitch so easy to understand. You are a great teacher! Absolutely beautiful 🧶❣️
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much!
Thank you Allison for all your help, I do appreciate your videos.

I’ve made dozens of these and have one on each bed in our house as well as my family. They are easy and quick.
well done, they are lovely in all sorts of colours. I haven't mastered putting pictures in them yet.

Thank you very much Alison. I couldn't work out how to do this from a written pattern. You've explained it perfectly
My favourite blanket to do although it is a bit of a yarn eater and your video was a lovely reminder for me

Gorgeous, thanks for sharing. Does c2c eat a lot of yarn ?
I didn't think so.

Hi Alison and Everyone, Is the Mandala Sparkle softly squishy??? I can't do rough yarn. Can I do a shawl like this? Stay safe 🥰
Yes you can! it is soft and squishy. I understand about the sparkly yarns my sister, June can't work with it either she can;t stand the metallic thread woven into it. they do normal yarns too.
Hi Alison what size of hook u working with thank u mags Reid🌈

Its called Addi swing Max hooks
How big is this blanket please?
Sorry I can't remember
I love her way of showing a pattern but you confuse me when you keep repeating a dozen times is there a way you could not repeat so many times please.
I do that for beginners so the can follow along with me 90% of my videos are follow along so beginners can learn quicker.
