As a 65 year old woman who has loved hip hop/rap since the release of Rappers Paradise back in about '79 - I love Marshall Mathers whether you call him slim shady or Eminem.
The fact it seems we can no longer say what we want to say without being subjected to being silenced or censored we absolutely NEED Slim/Eminem to show people we don't have to sit and say nothing - SAY WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND PEOPLE - speak up and own it!
This is a masterpiece in rap, self awareness and social commentary. Haven’t enjoyed a tune on repeat like this for years

The marketing of this should be studied. The timing, the current culture, atmosphere, etc... Taking it just far enough to be on everyone's radar with free publicity but not far enough to actually get cancelled.
I thought that too. He's holding back to not actually get cancelled, but just stirring the pot. It kinda got me disappointed, but it's the right marketing move.
