This way Kendrick is like one of the greatest artists ever .. literally everything he does ties in to something he’s been saying for years it’s like the message never changes
The art of story telling 😊 man is genius/poet
One of the rare modern rappers that seeks truth and wisdom above lust and greed
Thanks for having me on your channel bro it’s an honor 🙏🏾

Thanks for sharing your knowledge ❤
You did great bro
You did good, but adjust your mic, it like changed channels on my phone speakers halfway in
The references to Lecrae and Dee-1 are meant as a contrast to the approach Kendrick is taking. He wishes he could take the prayer and empathy root, but feels that it's necessary to choose 'violence' right now.
That makes sense. So he wanted them to put out responses contrasting with his song? Interesting. 🤔
👽🤝👽
Nice one you peeped that huh...
can tell you excelled in literature in hs
bro is calling all the legends out like the avengers
😂😂😂 we need the real OG'S
ON G9D!!!!
Conscious rappers assemble!! 😂
To the Hip-Hop Heads if you know…. This is Kendrick’s Stakes Is High
That's facts, great observation. RIP Dilla while we here.
💯
stakes is so high :(
Yoooooo.... spot on. I wouldn't have made the connection.
Stakes is High. Let’s stay on that lineage and the entire first and third verses of Rock Co.Kane Flow completely apply here. De La was always ahead of the game, beautiful to see the comparison here. Much respect
Since Kendrick dropped was waiting for yo video bro....thank you🔥
Excellent commentary and editing we didn't deserve but you gave us anyway. Thank you.
the nikes represent USED BLACK SOLES (SOULS)
🤯
By using that specific picture, he was also implicitly saying that whomever fit the shoes should wear them.
Quadruple entendre 😂😂
This is such a deep analysis, keep up the good work!
You see how many artists are being dropped from major labels? The party is literally dying
“The industry’s cooked, as I pick the carcass apart” Kendrick Lamar
Somebody lying I can see the vibes on AK💀
@neesha7665, buddy doesn't even know how to quote properly.

Mr Morale & The Big Steppers is not just for the black community.
All races can be listening to his message
His music reached to japan and even vietnam, Mr. Morale is Mr. Universal
@@flush_entity i think the video is meaning that he wrote it *for* the black community as a gift not as in only they can enjoy it. i have to agree. If you take a look into DAMN. you start to see how all of his music relates and how much pressure he puts on himself to fix the hurt he saw in the world growing up. TennisThom has a rally good video over DAMN. you might enjoy watching it
A year ago i was healing after a realy dark time of my life. Mr Morale & The Big Steppers was my Soundtracck in the process.
No music is just for one community
As a Black man, his message(s) will ALWAYS be primarily for his people FIRST, and everybody else comes second to that.
we live in the same timeline as this man to see him alive and take over the rap game. amazing.
If the shoes fit.. wear em 🥱🥱🥱
Fry 🍟 boy.
Yeah, but not many wear the shoes that go in the right direction - easy to follow the crowd huh🥱🥱🥱🥱
Great breakdown. I think he’s foreshadowing a release coming very soon
His new album likely won't be released until before or after the Super Bowl.
When comparing other RUclips videos, your breakdown/explanation of the meaning of these songs is the gold standard, bar none.
yeah, the thumbnail isn’t some d bag looking shocked and yelling.
I gotta give credit where credit is due. This was an excellent watch. Keep doing your thing man.
i know it sounds dramatic but i get a massive life or death type seriousness in his more recent music. like im almost concerned this will be another tupac situation and hes willing to walk that path.
Kendrick stay safe......
A great point of this breakdown I’d like to highlight is the acknowledgment of the impact of NLU and announcing that it’s time to put it work. We got the inspiration, now what we gone do with it.
It's kind of good to know that despite effectively pulling a Tsukuyomi on Drake in the Pop Out, literally uniting the gangs of Compton on stage, bringing every West Coast legend on the way in the process, that Kendrick didn't let it go to his head. He remains steadfast in his ideals and resists the same temptation that made Drake the soulless gangster-chaser that ultimately led to the beef in the first place.
Kendrick understands it’s bigger than him, he’s being a catalyst for what’s right, knowing that comes with trials and tribulations but still willing too attack them, he’s done this for as long as I’ve been a fan of kendrick, for some reason this time it seems people are actually listening too him
I love it when I find other folks seeing similarities in Naruto throughout music and life
@@dylanlavillain7173 It's probably because Kendrick essentially used Drake as a microcosm of the bigger issue. That Drake is the end result of the current state of the industry.
@@HarmonicVector bingo
Kendrick is where 2Pac was going he’s going to take back HIP-Hop w/ positivey where Suge Night didn’t want to Go
Bro his last albums were about dissing everyone. He was all about sun tzu style, scorched earth
Most anticipated collab since Kendrick and Cole
This is our Black Friday 😔
Kendrick Lamar is going to do a MAKAVELI 2.0 Killuminati album Dissing the industry
Finally someone mentions makaveli lol
Agreed 👍🏾
He’s about to go at all the rappers that are just taking up space and that are merely industry plants. Oh and my definition of an industry plant is an artist that is being backed by a major corporations ie a big record company that uses a rapper/singer to promote lyrics and a persona that depicts everything that is wrong with society as a whole
Kendrick gotta be careful😥
Literally almost every artist.
And then he is going to disappear OR leave the music industry as JFMusix mentioned as well.
0:32 that transition was hard!
Anyone else thinks the lighter Kendrick is flicking in the beginning of the 'Not Like Us' video clip is a throwback to one of his older lines from the song 'Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe'?
I'm thinking of the lines 'But even a small lighter can burn a bridge, even a small lighter can burn a bridge'
He is about to burn some bridges.
Was waiting on this vid
This stuff happening with Diddy makes me think about how the embassy about to be raided too
When he said "when they don't see the future first" I gather he was speaking on how Men have loss their " Watchman" type nature and instead of looking out they've allowed the circus to grow and play the clowns in that circus.
To a point where one can only watch it die aka " I see dead people"
your one of those like channels who explians an anime but its muisc , love it , keep it up G
Another amazing video, thanks!
The timing with the Diddlers demise is pretty damned good, a cautionary tale
There's appearntly a rumor or leak of Kendric's new upcoming album that's going to be titled "Erie Times" and that would fit so well with the messaged/theme he was trying to convey in "Watch The Party Die"
Great breakdown, thanks
hey man nice voice 😮💨 the timbre the pitch the decibels the speed. keep up the good work my brother 🙌
wow watching this video two months later, after GNX dropped... this shit is prophetic brother .. automatic sub
6:44 maybe not a threat but leaving his actions ambiguous/up to interpretation? does sound aggressive though
Kendrick Lamar is most definitely one the one most prolific Hip/Hop /Rap artists to bring a high level consciousness to the Hip Hop Community. I always feel a level of integrity when listening to his lyrics. His GREATNESS is in the here and now.!
Really interested in seeing this change happen in the industry and Hip Hop culture as a whole.
Best explanation thanks 😢 .. i am still.trying to get into Kendrick music
I love Kendrick moving in silence ❤❤❤❤❤❤
the fact you have to analyze kendricks lyrics to understand them just shows how genius they are, i aint never had to analyze any other artists lyrics
I thought he was more or less contemplating putting the shoes on. Like that conversation you have in your head right when you know "Work" needs to be put in. Asking god for prayer. Idk, just a vibe i got.
Yo Pearl fountain there’s something you missed in this vid
The black air forces were sold on EBay and the Buyer of the Shoe Made their account on 11th of September. (Same day Kendrick dropped ) and That person wrote the review saying “it’s time to watch the party die"
EDIT: watch Deleted’s video on this !!!! Really good
Who is "Deleted"?
This man doesn't miss
Kendrick use his weapon againts the his own genre is something that's contradict the factor of hip-hop, but he also prays that hip-hop community will be back to it's own purpose. telling the people the truth and no deception
I thought I understood the song on first listen . Lmao I was wrong! What an epic analysis of an epic tune!
existing problems can not be solved by going back, but by creating valuable alternatives
I needed this.
Wow his next work should break barriers while breaking the culture down
Wow. This video is beautiful.
This is unironically and timely biblical.
Excellent Commentary!!
Ha! He knew what it would take to get everyone's attention. Make em dance and then go back to class Salute
Since this song is about the industry, rappers, influencers, followers, so a type of mindset, did y’all expect him to list names!! This is not a Drake diss song but warning to all those who fit the mold or shoe and are harming the culture.
Great breakdown
mfs hated on kendrick couple months ago seem like they suddenly switchin up
It is definitely a commentary on how rap culture(Or, at least) popular rap, went from it's more personal roots, to parades of wealth and greed. Even if the music's good, it has no actual heart. Older rap does have a lot of self-aggrandizing themes, but it never tries to glorify it. It's never the "cool" thing to do. Even in songs like Gangster's Paradise, it is shown as an awful cycle of hate.
At first, it was an artist's perspective of how they live life. Now, it's a label's perspective of how people WANT to live their lives.z
Lecrae another Christian rapper? Or Lecrae, a 5-Grammy winning rapper?
It’s funny cause this track is so straightforward but whatevs the algorithm serves what I want to hear lmao.
And this is why KDot is my favorite rapper of all time 🙏
Kendrick Lamar overall is just a good rapper
This was amazing
Kendrick is modern day bob Marley
kendrick finna turn into Malcolm X
It’s time to do the same for Lecrae’s response…”joint forces”
Is that "Free Lunch" in the background?
This is deeper than rap
0 to 100 Drakes bar about smelling defeat in the air, that could be a reference to the shoes and how Kendrick is now king.
Crazy how all this is falling together when Diddys case is being uncovered
Stopping kids from saying first
he was in fact first
It is not a Drake diss ! 😩
Kendrick is such a goat.
Just patiently waiting for another Kendrick track….
Same
Why’d the voice change mid video
"The Day The Party Died" is the name of the song. Dude's a lyrical fuckin' genius.
Fire vid
😅😅 I knew the satire was too close to home guys we getting untitled irt😮
I took the cover art as a reference to his recent album name, after all it is called Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers..it looks like a lot of stepping and standing on business has been done in those black Air Forces
Even deeper we’re taking off the all black af1 after all the disses just as the Super Bowl is announced (business time)
@@eskimo500 yessir I caught that later in my breakdown of the response tracks from lecrae and Dee-1 who also had shoes on the cover, making them all steppers
@@pearlfountain I think this was the point to put us into deep thought of the message rather than give us another song to dance to, I feel that will come right before the Super Bowl
Feel like the shoes represent he’s been putting in that work. They’re beat but they’re black forces so you know what time it is
He just gon keep stomping this man in the ground bro😭 Drake just need to roll over and give up😂 Great vid cuz!
Mah bro just quoting more Eckhart which is fine
What was the song in the backgroud called again? I only remember the part „running in circles“ but not the actual name. Please help!
Found it, it was hidden in my playlist, its called wat‘s wrong by isaiah
I love it
You got a new mic half way thur the video lol 4:02
Taking beef way too seriously..Kendrick will regret this when Drake takes it seriously too 🙌 he's making noise for people who are trying to recover and once they've recovered they will see that boy soon
❤2pac was on this renewal project when he died.
Listen t against all odds
You cooking
These has nothing to do with drake it's the music industry 😢
Drake is just an example. The industry is fucked up now. They really glorify one night stands, scamming, faking everything…
It’s giving major Tupac influence 💪🏾
The song is called “black forces “
Great
Good job
Folks complaining about Lil Wayne not headlining the Superbowl when he'll be happy just to be on that stage as a feature. The so-called fans of hip hop coming at Kendrick are slow cuz most likely Kendrick was planning on collaborating and bringing him onstage along with other Louisiana artists. Sadly, you got these idiots online complaining and so that may mess up the business side of things. These artists and business folks keep expecting these major venues that come to their city to honor them when they don't even honor themselves. How about all these artists link up and start doing their own tours instead of still waiting on handouts when you been in the industry for decades. Folks need to just enjoy the game and quit with all this street shit.
You can't hate the man, you really can not,
So you think the next track is dropping on election day, cause I can't think of a better time to talk about spiritual decay
Bro wtf does that blank verse mean? Or what does it even allude to ?
👏🏻
Interesting
