- Nefarian is for most tanks the most dreaded task in tier 11, with one small mistake often costing the raid a wipe. Whether you're someone looking to approach Nefarian on heroic difficulty for the first time or if you're a seasoned raider, hopefully, there's something in this 11-minute video for you.
This guide also works as a tool for normal Nefarian-- it's just a bit less punishing.

As a main prot warr having a hard time to get into raids for been the worst tanking spec this is a great guide to understanding how to fully use all my abilities to give a 100% of me to my raid team.
You have awesome content
It’s rough out there for the prot warrior! Partly justified due to block tank tuning, but mostly blown out of proportion. They have a really strong toolkit for a lot of fights in t11 and can definitely fill the off tank role for any raiding team, casual or not.

Prot pala is even squisher but they have a ton of cds and ppl just love pallys from wotlk so they kinda take them over warrior but I main a prot war and im 370ilvl doing almost all heroic content its doable just get a guild if you can and you will be ok even if you gotta start with a guild only killing few heroics a week and work your way up with them! (Btw I main prot war and prot pal xd) But im in solid guilds on both of em check out my page for Prot War POVs and all other tank classes for heroic t11 vids!
If you end up being the add tank as DK and have any problems gathering them up this is a great spot to use the DRW glyph for an extra +50% threat to make sure they are solidly locked onto you.

This gear is definitely not needed, however. Done it on 10 and 25 with a lot worse. My recommendation is to pump as much threat as possible into the adds right after they spawn.
Rend -> thunderclap -> once they are out of the fire use recklessness -> shockwave -> cleave > thunderclap and just try to pick up any stragglers with taunts. Keep vigilance up so you can just machine gun taunt.

You dont mind running prot warrior in t11? Thought Prot Wars were pretty much doomed in Cataclysm
Damn fun to play! They are not as good as the feral Druid in the off-tanking role overall, but has some niche fights where they are really strong (like nef). Defensively they are about as strong as the prot paladin but slightly stronger offensively while not tanking due to the vigilance rework and freely being able to stance dance and execute.
I wouldn’t say they are doomed, but wouldn’t bring one as a main tank for progression ☺️
