Hey Pig! Question about the surplus rifle, whenever I use the burst receiver sometimes it shoots two rounds and sometimes it’ll shoot 4-5. Is that just the case with the gun or do I need another mod to use it properly?
Like others said you hold the trigger down, but there seems to be a strange glitch sometimes at least on Xbox where the burst will randomly shoot 4 or 5 times instead of a 3 burst
deadpools service rifle is almost perfect imo, if he could fix up the minor animation bugs such as your hand repositioning on the barrel after reloading, or your hand going off the barrel when aiming down sights and fixed the weird sprinting audio where there is a short pause every two steps then the mod would've been a 10/10 for me.

Two things: Modern Apocalypse - Thing’s M4A1 came out in December of 2023. It’s dope. A heads up on Deadpool’s mod, the script inject leveled list is bananas. It’ll be raining service rifles in your game. You’ll routinely find one or two in all sorts of loot containers, even explosive crates.
What is worse, is that the injected cannot be reversed once it is injected (obviously), if you try to uninstall the damn mod the null units will still be in there, making things worse. So, best practice is to learn some editting, use fo4 edit to read and edit the lvl list before running the game, or make a bashed patch, or do the hard work making a lvl patch yourself overwritting the game's lvl list. Mods is not plug in and play, plug out and change.
Thats really my only critique of the mod, is that if you have a really light weapons load order itll be RAINING service rifles which both is very nice for 5.56 ammo and scrap but can also be a bit balance fucky. Funny enough though if you have a PACKED load order or other mods that change how these containers work then it nearly ceases to be a problem entirely. In fact at times i was kinda HOPING for a service rifle so i could do the thing where i instantly make it a smg and start popping heads lol

The only reason I'd put SREP above Deadpools Service Rifle, is that it actually lets you build a real M4 or M16, while Deadpools just lets you make different type of NV Service Rifles, Marksman Carbines and Assault Carbines.
Deadpools service rifle has some bugs unfortunately, if a npc is using it, when it attempts the shooting behind cover animation, itll hold the gun incorrectly (itll be like sideways) and unfortunately its pretty ugly and noticeable

The Surplus Rifle is by far my favorite. It's simple, and fits in with vanilla perfectly. There are no weird issues with it like so many of the Service Rifle's I've tried. Pig crushed it with this one.
Complaining that automatic and semi automatic weapons of the same caliber do the same amount of damage is pretty dumb. Also complaining that any rifle in general is overpowered is also dumb, imo the vanilla weapons are severely underpowered so any rifle mod that actually does significant damage is nice to have.
I'd actually recommend two more mods along this line. The first being wasteland melody's service rifle. It's a decent looking but much simpler variant of the weapon especially for consoles. And for three screaming eagle... well neheer kinda did it WAY better ages ago. No offense to the mod author but it's definitely a 4 to 10 comparison.

how do you unlock paintjobs for the service rifles? Its literally impossible to find information about it. All I could find was the reference from nexusmods "For Paints, you need to find vanilla magazines" but wich ones is nowhere to be stated
PBW's service rifle recently received a huge overhaul (including more uniques and RU556 animations), do you plan on covering it at some point in the future?
Can you tell me why you don’t like see through scopes? As far as I’m aware there’s no major issues with it, maybe a few incompatibilities here and there, but nothing some basic patching can’t fix, and it produces much better scopes imo
Copied from another commenter who asked the same thing: "With STS I've had custom armor sets clipping into the screen, scopes working for a while and then suddenly blacking out, and even invisible scopes sometimes. I'd rather stick to the vanilla scope overlays, whose worst issue is improper scaling for non-16:9 aspect ratios."
Adding weapons that should have been in the game by default is a tricky balancing act, because most weapons added go way too far with accessories that don’t exist or fit the aesthetics of the game; as if the everything was literally ripped from the latest Call of Duty game.

I don't understand why one make these type of videos, showcasing mods that has over 100 unresolved and ignored bugs. Regarding high damage, "overpowered" or whatnot. And obviously vanilla or near vanilla damage aint gonna do crap combined with mods like "Unleveled World " and "Encounter Zone Recalculation"
Weapons arent just for the player, unless you are removing the leveled list injections. Also if your problem is enemy being too spongy you should try True Damage and Scourge.
Dude you're way too critical of free art, mod authors across the board dislike you for that. Stop doing reviews if you're just going to crap on peoples hard work. Bethesda is fine, mod authors is a no.

PBW's service rifle recently received a huge overhaul (including more uniques and RU556 animations), do you plan on covering it at some point in the future?
Wasteland Melodys Service rifle is a really good one too
SREP redux is a redux to wasteland melodys service rifle
Deadpool's Service Rifle mod is good, but I'd recommend a sound replacer.
@@PancuroniumB ah fair enough, I suppose your load order is more complex than mine
Adding weapons that should have been in the game by default is a tricky balancing act, because most weapons added go way too far with accessories that don’t exist or fit the aesthetics of the game; as if the everything was literally ripped from the latest Call of Duty game.
15:30 Wait wait wait... you actually think that fire selection should change damage output of each round fired? Thats crazy talk. One of the features i absolutely hate from the fallout universe.
I am unable to use Deadpool's service rifle because the animations are screwed up so i can't use it and I couldn't find any way to fix it
2:19 annoying bug with the dust cover that I hope gets fixed
I'm level 57 and for some reason the quest is not getting activated for me for the service rifle
the one ive been usin is deadpool its really gud
I just wish that Deadpool's service rifle had a lite version.
It's severely bloated for sure.
@@Oppetsismiimsitsitc Not to mention that some of it's attachments are not really necessary. (It's cool that the all American has a laser pointer, but it just feels like overkill)
@@brockschannel3927 yeah my preference is Pig's Surplus rifle because its different, really like his stuff in general. But I use True Damage and Munitions so damage is by ammo so I'd have no idea what its vanilla damage is.
@@OppetsismiimsitsitcSurplus Rifle fits very well into the base game. I just wish it was on more people in the game like the Minutemen.
oh god the pbw service pack one is hard to even look at.
def not my best work, lmao
@@ProjectBygoneWeaponsOfficial
too kind of a reply. now i feel bad.
But seriously, if you modeled and textured that from the ground up, you should be proud. its a hell of a lot better then i could do.
It's a lot better than it was months ago. The author put hard work into animations and models.

Does anyone know how to fix the power armor double footstep glitch?
When I try to download the service rifle it says it needs additional files what do I need for it to download
Does Deadpool's rifle has a burst fire mode etc? It's kinda lame have it single shot only.
No it doesn't, and few mods have burst as an option. The only burst ones I found are the Surplus Rifle and the Ultimate M4 Pack. I think burst fire is just a problem with the creation engine
13:39 the only way to play.
Animations and bugs issues on xbox service rifle is a bitch
Thank you
It would be nice if you could make a video where we install the mod... 😒
I don't understand why one make these type of videos, showcasing mods that has over 100 unresolved and ignored bugs.
Regarding high damage, "overpowered" or whatnot.
It's really needed if you're playing on very hard or survival due to the game cutting your weapon damage in half, meanwhile Gunners etc deal full damage to the player.
And obviously vanilla or near vanilla damage aint gonna do crap combined with mods like
"Unleveled World " and "Encounter Zone Recalculation"
Weapons arent just for the player, unless you are removing the leveled list injections.
Also if your problem is enemy being too spongy you should try True Damage and Scourge.
HOMOSEXUAL VARIANT
Why is there no link or ps4 mods?
External assets aren't allowed on PS4.
Dude you're way too critical of free art, mod authors across the board dislike you for that. Stop doing reviews if you're just going to crap on peoples hard work. Bethesda is fine, mod authors is a no.
In his defense, this video is meant for people looking for which service rifle mods are worth installing. He lists the pros and cons of each mod, and he gives his recommendations. Sure, these mods may be free, but if you didn’t know any better you would have wasted time going through them until finding the right mod. This guy has wasted the time for you. Though yes, I will agree his criticism is a bit harsh in some areas, such as requiring STS being a negative
@@mr_terminator5864 Some light playful and tactful criticism is always welcome. It's as simple as reviewing the weapon or mod and letting the viewer make their own conclusion based on the animations and textures shown.
@@shrekmeharder6983 I am glad he has the courage for that because without his clear judgements and opinions, I would have wasted my time with rifle mods that looked just splendid at first glance in Nexusmods.
Is this for ps4?
No😞

you say "Default" weird. Stop it.
1 -m4 expensive
2 -Ultimate cod war m4 Pack
3- the rest is pure shit
Hey did you erased my comment?
I haven't erased your comment, and as far as I know RUclips hasn't removed it either.
@@PancuroniumB Ah ok my man, sorry to bother you. I asked because it vanished and I was being slightly critical. ✌
Also the Ultimate m4 cold war whatever, in third person makes automatic receivers spit bullets way faster than in third person
Have you looked at any of the "continuations" of Deadpool's mod? There's _"Service Rifle - Weapon Overhaul Project"_ by DankRafft, and also _"Service Rifle - Unofficial Update"_ by codeblackcrash.
Both claim to fix & modernize the mod, however I'm not sure I agree with _every_ choice they make...
What changes do they make?
