As a professional bodyworker I've been influenced by the work of Tom Myers for years. During my anatomy training I was exposed to cadaver study and was shocked to see the sheer ubiquity of connective tissue membranes throughout the body, and got a 3 dimensional sense of how the human body is more fabric than machine. This is right in line with what I have learned and observed. What I am able to activate and mobilize in my Ba Gua and Xing Yi practice is directly related to what I can visualize and feel in my own body, and this is a great reminder of how we can train our ourselves to move more efficiently and in a more healthy and balanced way. Thanks for sharing.
Fascia is everything guys , I have a major problem with it after a leg injury that developed into severe tension all over because of scars etc , I found out all about anatomy trains and went to a practitioner and it really helped.

Great video!! I have researched quite a bit and can not find any information on the "4 pumps of Chi"... really interesting stuff and makes a lot of sense.. can you point me to where I might read about those teachings?? Just can't find them.. thanks!!
Very very good stuff. This is the perfect example of the first well known version of internal power. However there is another one with actual chi that is misunderstood to the point that most people believe it either, doesn't exist or it must have to do with this physical way of internal power. The old chinese terms in internal martial arts, like ming jing, (obvious energy), an jing (hidden energy), and Hua Jing(transformational energy) have been examined and many people have tried to understand what they mean(along with tons of other "mystical" terms that people have often reimagined or literally guessed about what they mean.) I don't know why but real chi development is still difficult for people to grasp(maybe because of all the dammed charlatans), but the exercises to work on it are very simple. Its all about relaxation to work on and feel the energy. Anyways what is mentioned in this video is one very valid version of internal power, but don't forget even many chinese masters focus entirely on this version, some disprove that chi exists at all. I cant fathom why something so simple is complicated by everybody, after all..tai chi, xing yi quan, neigong etc. are all means to achieve the energetic power(AND this physical version of power sometimes), you mostly need to practice them as relaxed as possible and focus on small techniques at a time. The energy can be used for health/martial arts..Regardless if you feel a slight tingle in your hands, a warmth, pins and needles, a magnetic feeling in between your hands(all when doing the chi ball exercise) that is just a super tiny almost insignificant taste of the actual energy.
Sir. I've been scattering around the internet and trying to learn about Martial Arts. And would u say it's ok to add in yoga and Pranayama. Like actual yoga and not the modern bs. Would you say it's ok to add in Yoga and tai chi practice. And can you help me. And let me know. Whats a good place to start tai chi
@@vengeancecreed217Yoga is not a martial art like Tai Chi or Kung Fu. You can try Yoga , Tai Chi and Qigong, as all three work on your internal energy .
check out the superficial back line, see how it matches with YCF's first 5 points, also, check out the 'yao pump', the link from breath into the sacrolumbar fascia
Nice video. But there a different myofascial Chains and the deep front line is only one of them? Is it the "most" important for training and creating internal power? When you concentrate on this one , arent you negleting the other ones? I'm just curious :) Thank you
The 8 movements are Soften,Connect, Open, Close, Stretch, Compress, Twist, and Release. The best way to train this is something I can't tell you for sure. They aren't exactly muscles but movements that one is able to do with joint-muscle-tendon systems for my lack of a better term. Maybe it's more about fascia I'm not fully sure myself. I imagine a good starting point would be seeing those movements in the things you do and trying to train specific ones and low intensity, high focus, slowed movement
so very close, bringing in material understanding and spiritual significance, and showing it with scientific evidence. The veil is deep and murky, but that does not mean Truth is hard to 'see' or understand. For example, you have 'tension' between the left and right sides of your body. There is tension as well, between the left hand and left foot, those 'tensions' extend towards your arms/torso and also legs/hips(lower torso). It is not imaginary that we are created Perfect and in a 5 point star alignment. Everything is connected, so are the designs and movements of each body part and cells. Keep working, and asking, and the Universe(GOD) will answer in the most appropriate form, For each individual.
There ain't such thing as physical human power but there is a mind power which gives us the ability to imagine what we desire our minds can do this not our physical body

I'd love to see a demonstration of this.

Thanks for this I lost much of my cultivation and training to get some back

That was an amazing visual presentation of what we have been taught for years. Thank you so much for this video.
This really is an excellent explanation and incredibly clear. Thank you! 🙏
I loved the way you clarified it, thank you !! :)
Thank u very much.....very clarfying way to see and explain too
Beautiful exposition.

Discovery is a elusive path
This is amazing!
I just exploring and the universe led me here!
I didn’t get the name of the book you mentioned
This is great! Thanks
Great!
Excellent
Where is your demo
Very interesting, how would you connect this explanation with breathing? Is there a study that relates the fascia and breathing? Thanks!
Your in the UK, wow been looking for ages. Such a good video. wher are you, London?
Thank you for appreciating Steve's insight. He's based in Chatham, Kent, UK at Shikon com
@@worldofmartialartstelevision Thanks for posting and responding.
very informative :)
Is this what is otherwise known as the 'thin vertical thread' ie zhong ding?
This video feels like a preliminary introduction on something yet to be shown on how to practice - This only video couldn't be it.

It was Ida Rolf
What the real meaning open and close?
I’m still confused about how one would go about training and using these muscles
The 8 movements are
Soften,Connect,
Open, Close,
Stretch, Compress,
Twist, and
Release.

many words and basic anatomy as in many medicine lectures nothing more!
Internal power is dangerous, particularly for the beginners of Martial arts.Best regards, Paul. ,68,

saeedur rahman Ever lift a cup? You used human physical power.
Is magic
No clue what you just said. Do I have to study something first to understand all that
This guy is irrelevant not explaining how to use your internal power rather explaining human skeleton
Have you practiced with the principles he's described?
Is fantasy you can't generate internal power is all black magic
saeedur rahman :/
Chanden Bishop answer my question
saeedur rahman That's not a question...
Bro it's their belief. Islam also tells about such energy.
