I would avoid classifying a cheater as somebody who uses an exploit, or stating that using an exploit is necessarily cheating. Many games rely on exploits as part of their strategy, well it mostly just boils down to semantics (exploiting a leak in your opponent's play vs technical exploits that violate the game rules). For example, exploitative play is a huge part of poker, nobody would describe exploits in poker as cheating. With that said, exploits CAN be cheating when they violate the rules of the game, which this one in GBL obviously does. I just think it would be better to call JukkaBukka what he is, a cheater. Exploit is too vague a term, whether he's using an exploit at that point is irrelevant, breaking the rules is cheating and should be referenced as such. Also, clap for Yasser good speech. 👏👏
He isn't a cheater, he's a fed up player using an exploit to wake Niantic up. I know him IRL and what he said is entirely true.
@Ambander-p3x He used a hacked version of the app to prevent his own game crashing from the bugged outfit. That's cheating. We have a noun for people who cheat, and it isn't "fed up player"
@@Revelatus Again, I know him IRL. He *is* a fed up player who wanted to coerce Niantic to start dealing with the issues in the game, which they have ignored for a long time. He also wanted to quit the game due to Niantic not caring one bit about PVP's integrity, so getting permabanned while making a point works.
He's a very helpful player who has organized the raid hours and all other events in my part of town for years, always guiding new players, has played the game for 8 years legit, and just had enough of the game constantly getting worse. Upstanding guy and a local POGO community leader, not the kind of person who would cheat just to cheat.
Since Niantic don't listen to people, and he reported this exploit several times after coming across people using it and nothing was done about it in a longer time period, this was an effective way to bring Niantics attention to it.
The full method of how he did it without crashing his own game is not known, so you can't make assumptions about hacks or 3rd party software.
You can seethe and throw temper tantrums all you want, but he did the right thing and no harm was done. This benefits all of us in the long term if it being publicly embarrassed gets Niantic actually doing some work finally.
Its totally irrelevant that some other player did not get first Legend in the season, you don't get rewarded for that, who cares. The game performing like trash and being riddled with glitches is a million times more important issue than your ranking, I simply do not care one bit what happens to your MMR, I just want GBL to be in a playable state, which it is NOT.

The rest of that narrative is irrelevant as it does not change the fact that he cheated. Why is this so difficult to understand? You state that it doesn't do damage, I wonder if the people he stole Elo from agree.
Also, Niantic isn't going to fix the game because your friend cheated in it lmao.

Yes it is a fact that it had no harm, ELO does nothing in this game, you don't get rewarded for ranking up.

He took first ladder position 1 in the season precisely because little bytches like you will cry about it and Niantic will notice. You still didnt figure that out?
And no one said Niantic is guaranteed to start doing their job because of it, but its worth a try, and if Niantic does nothing even after this, its a great reason to quit the game and never play it again. If you still play it, especially GBL if Niantic does nothing about the issues and exploits now, you are a fooI.

Realistic niantic is so incompetent that the game will never fix anything
Drama is the f.... game Mode by itself. Yesterday i climbed to my season high 2485. And then, like someone pushed a Button. Negative Sets. I get bad leads. Always countered when i use my safeswitch. I get every crunch / scorcing sand debuff. The game is so anoying and time wasting. Now am down to 2329 point. Its so ridicoulus. You have a good Team that works and then suddenly you Lose near every game.
Yeah bro it's called algorithm. You get hard upswings then hard downswings. If you notice you'll be just above where you were before that initial upswing.
@@dennisreynolds1503 Yes. This is what happens near every season. At the end you are fighting in the elo range were you were ranked. The last of the day was also a 1:4. Down to under 2300 points. Im so angry. And believe it our not. Last fight of the day. Mirror match. My grebbit with one shield against the opponet grebbit. Also one shild. He got the back to back scorcing sand debuff. I top lefted. This game sucks. This is no fun. Ran outside. Build pokemon. Invest dust. And no matter what you play. You lose.
After two updates ago, all of my elite tm's disappeared from my storage. I've never signed in on someone else's phone or gave anyone my info. I wrote Niantic support and it's nothing but a NPC response. They literally said "we see you didn't use or delete them so you must've used all 46 elite tm's along time ago". Talk about frustrating! God bless you Yasser. You are doing God's work here..😂
I am missing a bunch of coins today, like 2000 coins. I didn't spend them. They just disappeared. Nothing in my journal.

Some NPCs thinking JukkaBukka is some sort of hero 💀 and that we should trust his “good intentions”. Call a cheater what he is a dirty cheater.

He is my IRL friend and a Helsinki Finland player like me, I know he is 100% a good guy and his intentions were moraI here. He is not a "cheater" just trying to cheat a high rank, this is his main account and he knows he is going to lose all of his lvl 50 legendaries, everything he ever collected in 8 years of playing.
He is so fed up with the bad performance and never ending issues in GBL and Niantic not caring one bit, that he decided he's quitting the game by getting himself permabanned and also bringing attention to this exploit cheaters are using, because he has reported it many times and Niantic hasn't fixed it.
And you think Niantic will fix it now? That won't happen
Best case, Niantic will remove those items, coz it will take them forever to find the cause of the issue, so they would rather just remove those items and move on

You don't need a third party app to perform the exploit. It makes it easier because it freezes you too. You might have to reinstall afterwards. But definitely not required. It's much easier and safer with one though
But, if he did use a third party app then sure he should get banned.
Niantic knows everybody thinks its a CIA game so they want to ruin everyones fun so no data can be sold. Niantics the real hero doing 4D chess.
He should be banned and most of all how he discovered that glitch that crashes the normal version of pogo but not the third party one does he participate in cheating discords-discussions.
He did it intending to be banned and sending a message to Niantic for never fixing such issues... the whole point was using an exploit that actual cheaters use all the time but he intentionally took ladder position 1 with it to bring publicity to it. The actual hackers never go that high so that they don't get caught. This stunt revealed what kind of exploits they secretly use.
