    • @MrLathor
      @MrLathor 5 лет назад

      This will be the year that I get an OLED. HDMI 2.1 and the associated benefits is good futureproofing. Picture quality has probably topped out as well. Doubt there is a whole lot more that can be done to significantly improve it at this point.

      8k 😱

    • @notebook8460
      @notebook8460 5 лет назад

      @Lathan Starnes thinking that buying it now for future proofing is not a good idea as the technology keeps improving and they will use a newer coding format and newer hdr in the future so you could just buy it in 4-5 years when 8k becomes mainstream

      J͓̽a͓̽k͓̽o͓̽b͓̽ I took the little stickers off the corners, and just left mine on the front and the back for two reasons. 1- I vape, so I know I’ll get a vegetable glycerin mess all over the screen.. and 2- it will be easier to sell it when something better comes along.. oh and there’s a 3- it looks fine with it on. I used a credit card to squeeze the air bubbles out of the corners, and so far it’s still the best image I’ve ever seen👍

    There's a reason that the LG warranty specifically excludes burn-in issues. My LG B7 65" OLED had serious burn-in in less than a year under normal usage. Best Buy offered to replace it with the C9 model under their extended warranty which DOES cover burn-in. My personal opinion is that burn in is an issue with all OLED tv's if you happen to watch any channel or program that has a static image bar or logo at the bottom of the screen. I elected to replace my OLED with the Samsung Q90. The Samsung warranty covers against burn-in for 10 years. The black level may not be quite as good as an OLED, but at least I'll be able to watch what I want without worrying about ruining my TV.

    Not normally one for leaving RUclips comments, but after watching your review of this television, thought I'd say thank you 👍
    I was hesitant at dropping the cash, but went to a few stores to view it first had. After watching my old LG TV of 9 years old I was happy as was the wife to its ability to still produce a good viewing experience. But I did buy the C9 and absolutely blown away with the picture quality this far, and watching Kong and Aquaman was a whole different league!! Looking forward to more nights watching some great films 💪

    Just an FYI the stand for the 77" version I purchased is quite different. The stand comes pre-assembled and does not have the channel in the back for cable management. It's also quite a bit smaller in the back. The TV doesn't really lock into the stand at all and the manual LG provided indicates that you should lay it down flat and then attach the stand. My TV also leans back a fair amount when on the stand which is somewhat disappointing.

    Probably not a bad idea to leave the plastic protection film on seeing as you are not going to see it and leaving it on means selling it in the future would be a snap OR just will help keep the back from getting scratched. Frankly I would remove the film after everything is wired and mounted if I were to remove it at all.

    • @Katzelle3
      @Katzelle3 5 лет назад +2

      You should remove the plastic film as it could disintegrate from the heat and damage the oleophobic coating that is already protecting the device. It also prevents heat dissipation to perform at factory standards, shortening the lifespan of your device.

    I think Samsung could have produced a lot better QLED range for 2019, so it might be wise to take a closer look at LG's options this year, (if you are in the market for a new tv).

    @peterwild8862 5 лет назад +1

    I'm most excited to see TCL Mini LED FALD backlit QLED LCD 4k models as I am hoping they will be better value than Samsung's price hiked 2019 line up this year with no hdmi 2.1 ports and black not brushed metal frames and remotes. Also TCL are supposed to support Google Home/Assistant as well just like this years only decent advancement for Samsung. TCL is set for release from June to August I think?

    • @jubeijackson6602
      @jubeijackson6602 5 лет назад +2

      Manea Al Manea the answer is subjective. It depends on what you’re looking to upgrade. Audio? Image quality? Software? Size?

    • @albie21121
      @albie21121 5 лет назад +3

      that's a dumb question if you're a tech enthusiast, enjoy watching a lot of movies, playing video games etc etc and have the $$$$ to throw around. The upgrade is a no brainer. If you are just a casual TV watcher, who doesn't really have the $$$$ then you didn't even need the C7. If you hardly watch TV but have the type of job where you can throw $$$$ around, then why not???? This topic all boils down to what category a person fits in......
