I lived next door to Thomas for almost two years and he truly is a great man. We drank on the stoop and had some really good times!
The best raw oysters I've ever had were in New Orleans. Just $13 for a dozen of absolutely massive oysters that were just pulled from the water hours before. Truly an incredible meal.
You haven’t been to kachemak bay Alaska I take it.
@@MatanuskaHIGH No one has. That's a given.
hahahah @@scholasticbookfair.
Thomas had me dying 🤣. ...never can be duplicated. He was talking that talk. lol
What a great flick. Real people talking about real food. Possibly one of my favs, New Orleans, the soul of the planet, love you guys.🇨🇦
"You put lead in your pencil, but if you don't have no stationary to write on or no one to write to. You're in trouble for eating all them oysters" 2:19-2:28
Faisal Rashid thank you, I have been listening over and over again , trying to figure it out what he was talking about ?????????
Oysters contain an aphrodisiac
@@Jess455 Oysters are said to be an aphrodisiac, so if you eat a bunch of oysters and you don’t have anyone to screw, you’re going to have blue balls.
That fella with the oysters is someone I would enjoy his company
lol that black dude is awesome
I travelled and tried many oysters, when i was back in my country,my friend whom owns a bar imported new zealand bluff oysters, the day i had that bad baby with drops of tabasco,i will never forget the experience! It retained the water inside it where it originated from too,for me i would say, that's the best in the world, second is any coastal japanese town oysters 👍 for any seafood lovers, try them when you drink👍
Uptown seems like fun guy
He's fantastic
Small doses
Thomas needs his own show 😂
Uptown T 😂😂😂😂😂
I can NOT with UPtown T!!!
He's the type to turn the worst day around for someone just by being himself.
We need so much more.
Uptown T is fucking hilarious, I watched his scene three times lol.
YOU CAN CALL ME THOMAAAS
i was driving in Louisiana one day and i saw a little shack that had a stack of empty shells out back that was about 10 feet tall...they even pave the roads with clam shells. aint no gravel in the delta.
haha Thomas is awesome!
Great video!
It looks delicious 😋
Thomas in this video so fuxxxx cool. Thanks Thomas. Great Oyster chef Thomas, we all believe in you :-)
Those Oysters looked delicious!
Good content!
I need to spend time on a stool in front of Uptown T.
Bluff oysters and pacific oysters around NZ are hard to beat. Try oysters the size of your Entire hand, super creamy, would love to try these
I've only had oysters once or twice because they aren't the most economical item on the menu. I love seafood though (but hate traveling) but I'd love to give something like this a try.
JTR ...then u probably want to travel to do it.
I need to go here!!!!! ugh!!! although...if any of you have tasted Bluff Oysters in NZ.... those things... are RIDICULOUS!!! my opinion, the best in the world! along with their mussels. But, ill be absolutely willing to try here! hehehe
The best salmon to. That farmed salmon NZ got is FIRE!!!
Ah great, I found another channel I'm gonna have to binge watch on. Damnit RUclips.
Aww yiss. I really want oysters now.
How are you not going to mention charbroiled oysters when talking about New Orleans oysters?
what type of device did the narrator use to record. it sounds awful
It does. Tought it was my computer but seems not.
I think he's trying to achieve that transistor radio sound
The sound is awful.
A Louisiana potato.

Mmmm I am eating steamed oysters with a home made sour pepper sauce later since this vid made me hungry lol
Yep ! Yep..just a little taste of heaven😃😃and i live in calgary canada....
Thomas is awesome lol I would want to meet him if I went to Louisiana!
can't beat a Bluff oyster in New Zealand
people don't understand my obsession with oysters 😭
😄😄 I be tryna tell me people. A couple dozen and a couple cold brews
AWESOME
cold water oysters are always superior I've eaten gulf oysters while in NO and they're good but not best
Where would you say the best
Canada's oysters are truly amazing
@@villeray9911early spring, cold water Prince Edward Island oysters are lovely.
I love Louisiana food! Best in the country!
The one local bar near me called Cole's public House in Amherst Ohio (sorry had to give them a shout out) always had a standard menu but then they changed up a lot of the other things like they always had oysters Rockefeller but the oysters on the half shell they would serve them plain with cocktail sauce or just lemon whatever you prefer and they would always come up with something creative like the one time it was a soy Ginger with cucumber and then one other time I'm pretty sure that they put a little bit of rice wine vinegar they minced up pickled ginger and I couldn't place the name of the third ingredient but I know they put something else in there and they were out of this world
Uptown T is a great guy. Go see him at Pascal's Manale
They're to die for. Literally.
Typically, the colder the water the more flavourful the shellfish. So while the oysters in the southern US are tasty they don't match up to those found in cold ocean water. Try a Malpeque or a Raspberry Point oyster from Prince Edward Island, Canada, and you will see what I mean.
Nope, cold water does not always mean better. If you like the taste of dirt, then yea, a PEI oyster is what you want to eat. A Pacific Oyster is leagues a head.
@@StuninRub that old goat don’t know what he’s talking about
The best oysters are found in New Zealand. They are Bluff Oysters. There are other countries besides the USA...
True, but only USA matters.
festorfamine the end
And Japan.
@@festorfaminewarm, swamp water oysters VS cold Canadian oysters.
That shucker reminds me of buba from forrest gump
"Cha cha cha, cuz we're not finished" 😂😂😂
I’m a bit worried as I’ve started eating oysters and I absolutely love them. But I’ve heard a lot of bad about eating them raw and getting vibriosis. What are the chances and what are the signs to look out for, are there any signs you have a bad oyster? I want to keep eating them so any help would be great
Only eat them if the month has a R in them i.e November, December etc etc.
Also always chew the oyster before swallowing, if it taste anything but the usual taste, spit it out and announce proudly to everyone...you don't swallow.

Lol that guy is hilarious
Salvatore Sunseri looks like a meme. No offence.
Alover OfLove ...id say he looks unpretentious and a throwback look of old world. I like his style.
*HE IS A LIVING MEME*
I feel like oysters are one of those things that is enjoyable to eat because you tell yourself it’s good and everyone eats it. If everyone ate tarantulas and told you it’s good you’d probably be fine eating tarantulas as well. In reality it really just looks like a soft slimy snotball stuck in a rock.
They do taste amazing tho
Are they eaten raw?
@@shumitawa8855 Not all - but raw, or cooked, still very tasty!
Damn I wanna go to the place Thomas works at and get an oyster shucked by him!
I tried an oyster once when I was like 12 it didn't go well. I vowed to never eat another oyster in my life will I never break that promise, but it's still love watching others eat them
Yummy 😋
damn u fast...
Yum
and of course it must be somewhere in the US.
Voila, or shall I say cha cha cha because we are not finished yet...
Whoa look at that MONSTER size oyster 4:50
Gulf oysters Are the best! I've had oysters from the Atlantic and Pacific. New Orleans has the best, freshest, saltiest oysters.
Kachemak bay Alaska the best
Freshest? Lol. If it’s alive it’s fresh.
Holy crabs...those oysters!
I’m from New England and the oysters here are delicious. I lived in Florida for 7 years and I found the oyster shells were heavily encrusted with barnacles, and even smaller oysters stuck to them. You couldn’t get a shucked oyster to lay on a platter without it tipping over. The taste was fine but not the same clean briny flavor of a cold water oyster. To each his own I guess.
Man o man would I like some of these shelled beauties.....
Louisiana/New Orleans oysters are super thick and creamy never had an oyster as fat and consistent like them
Gahd's Pahnd. Love oysters.
Its coming home
Thomas a G!!
Char broiled are the best✔
Anyone know where Sisko's Restaurant is?
Made with BP oil
Lol you in troubleeeeee
Lived in new Orleans my whole life and never tried an oyster as of 2018

I love oysters I'm now craving them.

COOL
Uptown T would literally make me walk out on a tab...and ive never imagined doing so.
My gosh, Is that lady off her chops at the start/beginning??? LOL WUT
What's up with the audio work, Mate. I mean, isn't there anybody checking the final result?
Yo I was gonna say nice work on getting the cultural ambassador from the local government there onto your show, that's pretty neat and legit. In actuality I paused before pressing Comment and googled her name and found out she isn't the cultural ambassador, Irvin Mayfield is.
I get that it might seem cool to throw that tag under her name but come on, that's not that different from putting 'Mayor' under her name - it's misleading, especially to people out of area. I also found that she entertains the myths of ghosts and a myriad of other lunacy, so please can you refrain from whacking legitimate labels on random people in the future? Also no politics videos please, you guys aren't buzzfeed or some other bottom-tier clickbait.
Are the oysters still covered with BP oil?
The shrimp are still sick with infections all over them
Tony DeTuna ...just go a little heavier on the cayenne pepper hot sauce. It adds flavor in addition to killing any petroleum based viral or bacterial deadly organisms.
A lot of gulf oysters are not farmed. They thrive in the warm waters of the gulf.
Hokkaido called and said "whuuuut?"
Digital Danggit Hokkaido is good for crab but there are far better places in Japan for oysters.
*COCcaido*
Great job eater at least your comments arnt bashing you like vice
I love oysters but clams are alot more delicious
I haven't even tried eating an oister, wtf am i doing here...
its the taste of the ocean... salty but not overpowering, mineral taste, smooth texture, savoury.
best with a dash of lemon juice and fresh from the shell.
John Smith slight sweet taste from the ones on the west coast as well
