Marina, I just had a Ct-Scan on 10/9 & found out that I have a recurrence. I start 6 rounds of Chemotherapy in November. What I wish that people in general wouldn't do when you tell them you have cancer or have a recurrence; is act like you are getting ready to die!

Oh no! Yes! Tell them how you feel. Sending you some healing love!

Yes! This! I have felt very alone and invalidated in my journey. When I try to talk about how hard and scary this is, I get shut down with, oh, you got this girl! So I have shut down.

Oh man. So tough. It’s hard sometimes to talk to non survivors. You’re always welcome here. ❤️

@mariaiosif741 Back at you, Babe! Sometimes I think people are afraid that if they let you say your feelings out loud and validate them, you will just get down and not want to fight. But for me, saying how I feel and getting it out and validated helps me fight harder! 🩷

Yes, exactly….but wen I tried to do so, it always felt like i hit a wall…nobody wants to hear hard stuff, only cancer patients/survivors can understand and maybe their close ones.

@mariaiosif741 I honestly think most people mean well; they just don't know what to do or say. I will also say that the more open I am about what I need with the very few in my small circle, the more understanding and support I have received from them. People cannot read my mind, which is likely a good thing! Lol!😂

Don’t tell anyone then you don’t have to worry about them plus when you tell people you have cancer then you become that person

That’s one way to handle it! What’s “that person”?

Excellent suggestions of what to say or do. It doesn't take much to put a smile on a person's face. Your video ideas are spot on. 👏☀️🩷
