This DIY wrap skirt will easily become a staple in your wardrobe! Whether you decide to create the beginner-friendly, no-sew version or the Never Fully Dressed dupe, this versatile wrap skirt can be styled as a statement skirt, dress, or even a top!
Tips for selecting the perfect fabric!
1) Find a fabric that cuts clean and does not fray.
2) Pick a fabric that's opaque, not sheer.
3) Select a 4-way stretch fabric for versatility!
4) Decide whether you want to create a patterned or solid color skirt! Make sure to select a print that looks good wrapped in different directions.

Close the door! What a classic line. Don't know how many times I've said (yelled...) that. On your way out, of course. And, a closed door is a closed door. Thanks Orly for both showing us creativity, style AND home life. Take care!
I don't care what you make. I just love watching you talk with a big smile on your face 😍
omg thanks babe!!! xoxoxo
I just love ❤️ the “Orly strut” at the end of each video.
Don't be a weirdo
As a retired art teacher I have to applaud the way you structure for success-clear and energetic lessons.
Thank you Lynne!!
Orly, to me, is like "Every Friday Santa"! She always has awesome DIYs
I’m so inspired by all your multi-purpose dresses/skirts. I’m going on a 2.5 week trip with carry on only. Two weeks on a cruise, on a smaller ship so will see the same 2000 people every day. This should be fun. I have about 5 items planned…
The best part is always when Orly models the DIY 🥰
I'm so glad you said how much fabric you had for the sewing version. I always second guess myself when I'm buying fabric! But I'll probably get a bit more than you had just in case ✂️
me tooooo. I always buy more and then end up with these like... stupidly big scraps leftover lol
Can you share the exact fabric you purchased from joanns for the sewing(cheetah print) version pretty please?
@@MsDstarr Ember Large Cheetah print textured poly crepe fabric
Wowwwwwwwwwww. They're absolutely gorgeous sew or no sew. Thanks for the ideas. If I do make one, I'll certainly share it with you. Much love. Can't wait for Sunday.
thanks Diana!
Orly! Awesome video!! Could you please do a video online shopping for fabric. Where you show us beginners how to determine from online, what fabric would be best for what kind of projects? Like sometimes they don’t always say 4 way stretch or have enough detail. Thanks for your videos!!
Beautiful! I remember my first sewing project in 7th grade making a wrap skirt. The we had to put on a little fashion show at lunch time for the whole school!!!! 🤣
I just saw the intro, and you're literally killing it, as always ❤ The skirts look gorgeous 😍❤
thank you!!
You are simply the best at explaining, every thing at all times. That’s the reason we love watching. I love sewing, & all the hacks. Thanks from me & girls!
U know What I really love about u orly is that u r so good with mixing n matching colours, linen, jewelry, shades.. U were made for this (if only I had half the knowledge u have ) U r so talented. Friday is my favorite day, but you make it even better. Effort that you put in these videos, new intro, editing, I won’t even start talking about your enthusiasm - we can all see it and feel it. Thank you, kisses from Bosnia and Herzegovina ❤️
Absolutely love the sew version! I've been obsesed with this style of skirt for a while, doing one for sure!
100% the sew version is where it's at.
Very gorgeous! Just like you! Thank you so much for the ideas!
I love watching you your so happy and inspiring.I had a nervous breakdown and lost all wanting to saw which is very like not me. I have always sewed all my life my mum gave me a needle to sew with when I was 5, since I watch this I m going to do this I'm going to get material I'm gonna do it
Made the sewed version of these skirts in 2 different prints. They are now my favourite skirts. Thank you Orly for this amazingly fun and wonderful video
Awww, they look great and it looks like you have a little helper, too!
I love the sewn version of this! I’m going to attempt it tonight but make a few adjustments for my baby bump!
Oh yes! Here we go! I need more skirts in my life❤💃
There is just nothing unpleasant about you, your videos, your style, etc. Even if I'm not interested in the project I still watch it. You're an absolute joy to watch!!! 💙💚💜 your videos!
well that's the nicest thing to say! thank you!
I love the way you say "crisp" and "press". Good diction! Beautiful ideas, as always. Have a nice day, Orly!
Omg.! absolutely in love with the skirts .Thanks Orly
For someone heavy set I don’t tuck in tops because I feel like I’m just emphasizing my lumps. Your room is so clean and beautiful compared to mine. I’m purging
Love this and it's great that you gave both sew and no sew versions! I discovered your channel when I was at home for the holidays and it inspired me to bring my tiny old sewing machine back. Can't wait to try recreating some of these this year :) you have a great positive energy and your videos always put me in a better mood too!
I have to say the grey skirt outfit is one of my favorite outfits on you EVER! You looked incredible!! 💕
Awesome! Lately I have been a sucker for that kind of metallic lame fabric. What I really like about your videos is that you take the time to add all the criteria, requirements, Do and Don't do for a success diy. Thank you!
Whaooo that little knot on the sliver one is so simple and soooo stylish, I love it !

I just came across this kind of skirt 3 days ago and literally said out loud, "I wish Orly would do this cause I can't find a pattern!" Thank you!!!
Gray metallic astounding. Thank you so much for the DIY I do like Fashions then wrap skirts really do help my body shape as its rectangular inverted triangle combo so getting a little interest in the hip area is great
You are hilarious! I honestly just like watching the videos even if I'm not going to make the item.

I thought I liked the first two until I saw you model the 3rd one ... I could totally see wearing something like this on St. Paddy’s ..maybe more of a kilty plaid but w/ the boots and a cozy short sweater..ugh, so good! ⭐️

Your hair is always so pretty!
Orly I made 3 of these skirts - one with fabric I found 70% off!! Yay me! I also made one in the same silver fabric you used. Love it! ! My skirts turned out fabulous thank you so much!
I sooo look forward to Fridays just for ur videos
Really loved the plaid fabric. I don't really know how to sew ( unlike my grandma who was an expert and my mom who's quite good at it) but your videos are so inspiring, that i am tempted to try. Thanks for the vibes. P.s awesome military boots!
Those skirts are so cool, I love em!!!🤩
Wow this was fun to watch and such great results on all 3 DIY. I really appreciate the detailed tips you gave during what you need portion of video. I can not wait to see the video on how to wear these skirts in different ways. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the New Year.
Thank you for the spunk and energy. Your DYI sessions are always refreshing and broken down for anyone to understand. I am appreciative and thankful for you. Any chance you can share the cheetah fabric fiber content and over the knee boots brand. I adore your style.
I love It! And i'm in love with your black boots
I’m new and thank you. Will you please add exactly where in the belt area that the button hole and belt will wrap? Love ur energy!
Thank you. You never disappoint!!!!
Wish these were as easy to fit for those of us with “more”. I have way more hip and back than you or even the image of the model and I love simple things but they don’t looke this good on me - suggestions welcome!
Totally agree!
More width and gather the fabric into the waistband? Would be more forgiving!
I also recommend proper undergarments, like spanks, they help smooth everything out, even for the skinnies. Smooth lines make every outfit look amazing regardless of size. I also like the idea of a circle skirt and waistband as a wrap skirt.
Yes I have hips thighs and butt but no top lol I just always get extra fabric then needed..always get at least an yard extra
Leopard and plaid are my favorite.
Orly you nailed it😍😍😍😍 u look so beautiful. Everything u do is jus so perfect 😘😘😘...plz do a video on reuse of jeans to dresses.
Thank you so much!😉
Love love love this new format!
You are awesome, the best DIY wrap skirt. Thanks for Sharing.
You are so welcome!
Love this 🤗. Wondering if you could do it with a heavy weighted material ? To make a warm winter skirt.?
LOVE! I need to make so many of these! weird question maybe ... how would you recommend keeping these in the closet?
Wat a skirt...beautiful. love it
I ll try for myself at home
My go to thing to make are wrap skirt lol, but i have found out that i do like a sideseam on mine because im more curvy and it just makes the wastband sit better.
i have a button foot on my machine but i havnt figured out how to use it so i alwas do it manually, no need for a tailor, im sure there's some tutorial on how to do it but i just tried it and it works fine!
oh that's smart. I should look that up
@@TheDIYDesigner omg i hope there is actually a tutorial lol, cus i just finangeled it myself somehow xD
Hey Orly, or anyone else curious! Fluffy is also me and I made a video in which I show how I sew Buttonholes without a buttonholefoot! would love it if u checked it out!
