So I’ve made a couple of these now and love them and something I wanted to add is regarding how much you tie up and how much you leave when wearing it as a simple skirt - you can actually make it more practical the same way. Full coverage = more of a blanket for cold weather, more revealing = tied back and out of the way. Assuming it’s not a precious fabric it also gives you the option to use some of that side fabric for wiping up something then you can just tie it up lol. Gross yes but It’s great for me as a mum because it gives me options for when I’m out with my kids. I’ve even had my little one hide under my skirt in full cover mode for a game of hide and seek lol
I love the infinity dresses. I will make this wrap skirt for my 13 yr old Granddaughter, who like most girls her age NEVER has anything to wear. I love that the skirt will growing sophistication with her. It is a ideal holiday pack to dress by the pool & dress up for at night when eating out.

So I love this . I grew up on a farm in western Oregon, my mother was a seamstress and made wedding dresses for people, we made a lot of our school and church clothes,wrap pants and skirts were a couple. We also made shirts, handkerchief shirts with a square neck and flowy sleeves. They were so fun and cute. Thank you for these patterns and all of the inspiration! Love you!

You could also use a large metal or tortoiseshell design ring on the belt/strap/tie that you gathered to give it another look. Love what you do with what are basically simple pieces of fabric!! :) Just wish I was slim as I used to be ... At age 63 the belly fat/middle age spread began to appear ... so now at age 70 ... it's a tad soul destroying ... But, I oived your peplum T shirt idea ... def going to do that!!

If you don't have a button hole foot for your machine you can still make a button hole with your sewing machine. Place your button where you want the hole. Using chalk or fabric pen mark both sides of the button so you have a top and bottom line draw a longer line to connect the two orginal lines so you have a rectangle sew along the lines twice to make sturdy and then cut the hole to put the button through test fit the button to ensure it passes through the hole and then sew button to the opposite side.
