I just got the X4 a couple of months ago. One thing that wasn't mentioned is how well it performs in low light. As long as you're not in complete moonlight its really good. Shooting in 8K makes the camera sooo hot so i only use 8K when im moving a lot so the wind cools it down a bit
I own both X3 and X4 and they’re great…when they work. Both cameras for me have “battery anomaly” errors. The X4 broke 2 days after I bought it. The warranty experience was easy but the cameras came back with the same issue as before. I thought maybe it was how I was mounting the camera so I forked out extra for the vibration dampening block, and a nice set of rear seat hardware but no, they will still give me “battery anomaly” after just a couple minutes of use. When they do work it’s great. The X4s 8k is noticeably clearer than X3s 5.4k. Buyer beware
You should have a long talk with someone who really knows those cameras to get to the bottom of what’s happening. It might just be the luck of the draw, or it could be something that you’re doing. Your problem has not happened with my unit.
Hey revzilla. This question is not related to this video but another one of yours. Your trip to umling la, the highest road in the world features you guys on triumphs with half face helmets and eye wear on those helmets. I wanted to know if you feel the safety provided by full face helmets and half face helmets is the same or does it differ a lot. I see you guys rode for a long duration yet chose the half face option which according to most channels and the internet are worse in safety than a full face helmet.
Great question - Full face helmets are indeed the safer option and that is tested and proven across every scenario you could look at. However, sometimes our hosts choose to wear a 3/4 helmet to help with the audio and visuals for the video itself. Most of our hosts wear full face helmets for their daily riding and choose to wear the open face helmets for our filming to help with the video overall and the experience for viewers. Great question though!
I'm just going to stick with my Innovv helmet cam. No looping, can record for about 24 hours on a 512 sd card. Hasn't failed me yet. Easy to turn on and take snapshots even with gloves on and you can find one for less than half the price of this.
Inovv head cam has a completely different job to do. It's same as dash cam in the car, maybe close to action camera and you can use it as action camera. But can't be compared to Insta x4
I don't know how people afford these things sure I want one but heaven all mighty, it costs me the same amout I paid for my xbox series x when it came out
Really just seems like it’s prioritization. Some people like spending the money on a plastic gaming box like you, others would rather the camera if they are doing a ton, into editing, or trying to be riding influencers. You just decided to buy a different toy. 🤙
Just like the person above me said, it's about priorities. I for myself don't buy a thousand dollar phone because I don't really care about them , I use a 200$-ish phone but have an 800$ sony camera. Some people might think the same thing you thought but the other way around (comparing the console price to cameras)
33% larger? Rubbish. If you buy just the camera it comes with the clip on guard and a set of plastic lens guards. With the standard ¼” 20 TPI socket in the base I use my suction mounts that I bought for my Drift Stealth cameras.

Get a skilled trade like welding or electrical and earn $1000-$2000 or more a week
Remember that for people that use it for recording vlogs and entertainment videos, it's the investment cost of doing business.
