Thanks for watching!
Cracked me up, the music started all mellow, "Cancer called me today..." And immediately it was like Time To Talk Over the Music
You make it look so easy.... Love your vids 👍
I’ve been running jobs for over 30 years and you have a great gang going there ,good morale ,good standards right attitude and the young lad is starting to really get it .
Top stuff lads
Thankyou Chris mate
Hope Jung stays motivated! Top lad👌🏼
Sounds like Owen Farrell talking to George Formby about pick and dip..
Does sound like George formby
Never ever liked new builds, ever.. Poor standards, Barratts,Bellway, Bloor homes,, etc etc... Chucked up in 5 minutes, last about 2 minutes. The 10 year warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on... We built our own house after 2 new build ownerships,,, 6000 Square feet, for half the price we sold our old house that was only half the size... Inflated house prices are ridiculous,, build your own, cheaper, better more reliable... Good video.. 👍👌
Lol about ties, cavity so important all the tips and tricks, can’t remember the name of that tune when setting the reveal up cracking video Stu all the best Tony 👍
Hi Stu. I've been doing the old pick and dip method for over a decade and from my experience, if you want the best results the trowel you use is vital. W Rose 9inch London pattern, Bon 9inch London pattern or Marshalltown 33-9 are the perfect size and shape (and quality!) for best results. I've found Philidelphia pattern are simply not suited to that style of laying. All the best.
Thankyou very much mate
Great video and really valuable insight into real site work. Interesting discussion on the techniques. Thanks for posting...
How do you measure the gable on price the triangle part ?
Any chance of swing the camera around for more fantastic country side views ... please

You can watch the wizard's work endlessly...
First... 😂😂 from Mizoram, India🇮🇳
It says on Google maps Mizoram is in Bangladesh??
@@ginobragoli1448 😂😂 Mizoram is North East India... Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura etc North East India🇮🇳... Bangladesh and Burma neighbors Country 😂
No ties? Try specsavers!
I was about to write a comment mid video and then decided to continue watching... my question was answered at about the 12:57 mark.
I was going to say do you always wear gloves Stu or just when using these rough sharp edged and cough cough cheap bricks.
Those Maxi gloves are great gloves as they are thin enough to still give you enough feel.
Thumbs up.
No wall ties indeed. How rude. 🙄🙃👍
I made a little 4 course wall in isolation today! Tomorrow knock it down and do chimney! If your in isolation try learning a new skill
build your own, cheaper, better more reliable.. i build my own house ...you guys are profesional
It’s always good when you only just have enough space to work in !
Good video and top work Stu and gang !
Доброго дня Вам друзья из России-Сибирь-Кемерово)!
why is there no ventilation gap between the insulation and the facing masonry?
ну хоть сегодня дождя не было...а то я уже переживать начал)
Some interesting thoughts there Stu, I got a bad case of tennis elbow from my last job, I realised it was the repetitive strain disorder so if you can keep the movements down through the week then that's gonna help your joints..great quality work too-:)
Exactly Chris, I would advise you read that book ( from last video) made me think more efficient.
Some of theses none believes don't get out much..
Pic n dip is the shit pal. Been on it 2 years now
Que aislante ponen ?
Thanks for the video 👍🇬🇧🍺🍺🍺

Job advert:- For pickers and dippers.
Not for warehouse work.
For building site work only. 😳
Like the first song Stu , when the flash floods come !!!!😂😂🤣🤣, good team work as usual 👍👍
Good job i liked
That fiberglass insulation must get wet sometime during the build.
Much better pic n dip stu. Your slowly picking it up. You'll never look back and you'll notice them aches n pains slowly ease off
Jesus, building a house on no foundations last month and now no ties.. what's the world coming to
😂😂
We like to just build on soil, it’s sinks into the ground better.
@@Stucrompton1 😂😂😂😂👌👌👌👌 perfect response
How many other builders and comapnies are involved in this houses?
Great looking work as usual. Although pick and dip may be faster I still love the old school method.
There's an old English guy on RUclips that does it this way. Cool guy too. Probably the coolest
Not sure if the wire ties are galv or stainless but they don't look very substantial. I remember using stainless ones that were crimped out of flat, and seemed better. Also what do you think of polypropylene ones? Interesting what the building spec says on them. Top bricklaying. Pick and dip perps looking good now. Can't believe colleges don't teach both method's and when appropriate to use each.
Do you ever get damp tracking across the cavity to the inner skin, because the cavity is full of insulation?
people talking s***. Stu just don't listen them :-D

stu crompton okay 👌
Ja ich habe
Неплохо!
Grab the brick with your trowel hand and pass them to your laying hand. Butter your closures. Spread the whole course and then lay. Nice looking work.
Not sure what you mean. Can you be more clear, that sounds complicated
stu crompton put your head joint (or perp joint I think you call them) on the brick that you just laid in the wall. Then, grab the next brick to be laid with your trowel hand while still holding onto the trowel and pass it to your laying hand. This will drastically cut down on movements and it will stop you from having to do all that twisting during the day by reaching for the brick with your laying hand. It feels a little weird at first but after a day or two on a long wall I found it feels so much better. Makes you faster just by eliminating movements.
cheers zack, i will give it a go
What out Carlie stu’s on the pick and dip and smaller trowel. 👍
Very good mate.
Let's be honest mate. Stu is an artist with what he comes up with but Charlie is the master at pic n dip
Stu does have a secret weapon, kc
I dont think they teach pick n dip in collage if so i havent learnt it yet
They don’t teach pic n dip in college
