    If college lecturers are not telling their students to watch these videos for on site application, there is something wrong. These videos are an apprentices dream.

    The fascia and soffit are done Charlie, that’s the finish! Why are you leaving like half brick voids? That’s a big hole the rendering crew needs to fix and it will always crack or be a problem.
    I’m not being a hater, just genuinely interested why you couldn’t just run the bricks in a bit further past the soffit line and avoid those holes?

    Been watching team Collison for a while now, great stuff Charlie 👍
    One question though as I'm not a brickie.... Sometimes you furrow the bed, and sometimes you don't, does that depend on brick or is it just how you feel 🤔

    • @dylanfeatherstone9836
      @dylanfeatherstone9836 9 месяцев назад +1

      I don’t furrow it because I find I get a more full bed and also quicker to spread along the wall, and can also use the excess to peep a brick which saves going back to the spot board but it’s each to there own

    excuse my ignorance just a humble plumber but where did this gable transform from a cavity (this must be in roof space ) and why not use a better bond !! header stretcher in stead of going up 2 stretcher courses or is it all based on time/cost .

    • @xyieni4535
      @xyieni4535 9 месяцев назад +1

      It’s a garage.. a garage doesn’t have a cavity. He is using stretcher bond as you can see it’s half bond stick to plumbing my mate lol

      3 mins 14 seconds you can see it’s a double garage I’m assuming it’s a double…if there’s no cavity that normally indicates towards a garage as a house always has a cavity

      It’s a garage gable.
      Single skin once you put the lintel on a course of soldiers run one across the top and carry on up in 4 inch.
      The garages get boarded. But we still have to double joint which is a nightmare in summer
