Honestly, such a unique video. Made me think a lot, and I will definitely try to improve my physique. I don't really work out, even though I should. Thank you very much, Lars and Nico for this amazing video! 🔥🔥🔥
I will for sure look at the last minute many times for next time on the water; flying the board consistently is not that easy so very thankful for those tips . Wow.
More back foot pressure with the tip only for the the railing and making the board fly. This is what I need to try to make the board fly which I don’t get that feeling around 22-23 knot. Do you thing I get that if I did, and what’s the actual speed for board to make it fly? Thanks
Great video! That was my biggest problem at my last vacation in Soma Bay. With increased back leg pressure and the sail closing the gap I ended up with a spin-out.. But for me it felt fast as hell 😂
I think he means that you need to pull up on the heels, if that causes pressure on the toes then yes nut you should think of it like pulling up on the heels not pushing on the toes
Thank you Nico! Lots of windsurfers have issues with going in the back footstrap on these kinds of boards. Looks like lots of us are doing something fundamentally wrong at the beginning before we start planing. Can you make a video on that also?
Nico, you really caught me at the part: keep the load in the harness (lines). In gusts I’m taking the load too much in the arms. Why better keep the load in the harness? Only to be able to windsurf for longer that particular day? Excellent video btw!
Great video as always. Now I really understand why i hit the limit of speed. But now I have 1 question not related to this video, but to the obe that was about your story of windsurfing. I began to learn faster and my father wants to film me, but at the same time he wants to stop windsurfing and I really dont want that. Any tips how to keep him in the sport?
Just wondering about board width vs top speed. I can’t get past 38 knots despite being on a 50 wide speed board. Whilst my 50 wide board has higher average speed, my 55 wide slalom board has a similar top speed. Where I max out, others in my sailing team are hitting 40 knots on wider boards than I am using. There are so many variables and I have tried to not change too many things at once. An on water coach is the ideal scenario ..... are you coming to Australia any time soon ? Hope to be in Europe July 2025 but can’t wait that long to crack 40knots 😅
I struggled to get my slalom gear fast. Until I changed to a seat harness. Night and day. I can hold much bigger sails, put so much more pressure on the fin and let the board fly. I don't know how you guys can do it with a waist harness.
Hey nico love the videos. could you make one about how to get into the harness once i’m already in the front footstrap and planing? cause i just can’t get close to the harness lines when i’m in the front footstrap
Just got in the footstraps and now I feel like a sack of potatoes on the board. Struggling to close the sail. Struggling to find balance and that locked position. And struggling to find the button and and switch OFF the fear while going fast in chop.
@@simoneveraert7593yep, that definitely helps. as I'm slowest in my group I've got lots of racing partners to catch. But it's still f...ng scary. Need more time on water and longer runs.
I really enjoyed the camera from the boat. It is like a ride along with go-pros, but even better because the view is not distorted.
Die vom Boot gefilmten Erklärungen beim Surfen sind eine sehr geile Idee und wirkten sehr professionell. Einfach geiler content
The community is growing as hell. I enjoy to be a member of it as a passionated windsurfer
The windsurfing is dying..and the companies with their high prices dont help
It help a lots with home training. I have improved my stability on the board. Thank for a very good home-workout🥰
Mehr Speed durch höhere Geschwindigkeit. Racing Rule Nr. 1
PS: nice to see my „old school stuff“ in action again
Great vid. Great shots from the boat.

I love watching your videos i cant wait until i get a chance to start windsurfing because i have wanted to windsurf for like 2-3 years
Great video, as usual ! Just back from a session where I beat my top speed, can't wait to try your approach again on the water 🤙
I will for sure look at the last minute many times for next time on the water; flying the board consistently is not that easy so very thankful for those tips . Wow.
Another informative Video by one of the best teachers!
Fantastic presentation. Thank you!
Thanks !! Always great and fun to go faster 🏄♂️🏄♂️
Very helpful!!

Great vid. Thanks. Will need to rewatch a few times : )
Very good video, whit usefull information 👍
Great Video Nico!!! I have the problem of the front foot is getting out of the strap in higher winds and speeds. How can I solve this?
Hi Nico, watching this video in the hospital again. My problem is that my front foot comes out of the strap in higher winds. What is the solution?
Go to hospital with a roof and walls that normally fixes the wind
Hi Nico, could please explain what do you mean with lifting the heel, do you mean pushing with the toes?
I think he means that you need to pull up on the heels, if that causes pressure on the toes then yes nut you should think of it like pulling up on the heels not pushing on the toes
@@JonassTass now it's clear for me. Thank you!
Little question !
Does the backfoot push down or horizontally to bend the fin ?
Thanks !
for NP Evo sails does batten should or shouldn't touch the boom ?
❤ eager to try it out asap
Hm, actually I am trying to get into waveriding, but this one makes me look forward to my next flatwater session again!😉 Good job!

Nice video!! I have a question for you, what tipe of work out you do? thank you very much :)))
great video Nico!!! thnx
Hi, does the "lift" technique apply to wave and FSW boards as well? Thanks for all your efforts
Hi wajfarut I think yes it does apply for FSW as well because every board is not flat because of the weight of the sailor....
Excellent movie! Still only understand half of what he is saying about the technique, but he sure knows his stuff.
Hi Nico, can you do a Video how to get into the Footstraps? At the Moment this is my problem as an intermediate
Hi, talking of sails... is it just me, or do slalom sails have worse angles upwind than freerace sails? Has anyone noticed anything like that?
Thanks Nico!

And as you said before Patience and dedication. 😌🤙
Great video. I think I am at the point of 8:25 into the video. I'll try and give it more focus next time I am out on the water.

What speed is a good speed in choppy conditions with a 7.8? Just a rule of thumb 👍
Hey nico love the videos. could you make one about how to get into the harness once i’m already in the front footstrap and planing? cause i just can’t get close to the harness lines when i’m in the front footstrap
i came back to this video to learn how to go faster as I can now plane in the front footstrap and in the harness 😆
Hi Nico, Are you coming to Japan for the PWA? I hope I can meet you on the beach. The forecast looks great for the competition days. Tom
Yes 🤟
Lesgoo speed tuto is out🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥
Nico
Could you please make a gym video like what you do when I. The gym
ok, i will start in the gym... weather is rather for snowboarding not windsurfing :)
Coll vid

What really helped me with the fear of going fast is racing against another person at your level. Maybe you should try that😊

I think the picture fir the video should be with Usain Bolt
ok like, i want wind class,
What is better than speed surfing? Surfing at higher speeds 😉
Hi is going so fast is hair is going out …remember the old vhs Video …Like Fred …🤣🚀
10:40 with 0.5x play speed it was ok. next time maybe speak twice slower?
