She is so good that she doesn't even have to move while playing

Hahaha best comment 😂
She's just too fast for our eyes
1 nanometer bow usage, don’t blink challenge lol
There's a reason twoset fans call her Ling Ling
I’ve never pressed a notification this quick in my life 😅

The best violinists who are not Spanish perform Sarasate as if they have Spanish blood.
Only God knows what heavenly substance runs through Chloe's veins, but with this performance we have further proof that whatever it is, it serves as the blood of every culture and every age.
Her phrasing, articulation and bow control is just incredible. Chloe Chua never ceases to amaze me with her artistry and tastefulness! Really exciting interpretation. And her technique is just out of this world- crystal clear harmonics, astonishing LH pizz, that stunningly good intonation- too much to fit into one comment. She is outstanding! Well done!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
So musical and lyrical! Chloe really knows how to make her violin sing beautifully!
I'm still blown away that she was able to get a stringed instrument to sound like a flute around the 5:30 mark.
I think the technique is called harmonics but it's hard to sound good
The technique is well known, but it's extremely easy to sound like a dying cat doing it. Few people can pull it off with such flawless clarity.
Those are harmonics! Usually you press a string down with a finger or fingers in order to produce a note. At certain places along the string are special places where you gently rest a finger ON the string and produce a thinner or airier sounding note. These are harmonics. Some of these special places are easier to find and to use (they can even help you orient yourself when you're high up on the string), and others.....well, they produce a different texture but are more difficult to control and keep smooth.
The sounds she produces is so rich and majestic, only now I think deep to myself : Oh, so this is how music truly sounds with authentic instrrument.
I can listen to this for a thousand times and never tire of it!
I don't have professional or technical terms to describe Chloe's interpretation of the music, but to me as a layperson, it's like personification of the music. It visualizes the music in my mind. It's kind of like hearing the soul of the music, and 'seeing,' someone dancing, all in my mind's eyes.
To a professional this is AMAZING. Confirm!
*Confession No 1:* _I've never heard this piece befor._
*Confession No 2:* _I'll listen to it many times in he future._
Bravo Chloe and Lim Yan! I have listened to this piece so often and found it the most immersive in your performance repertoire. I remember loving your performance of Heifetz's arrangement of It Ain't Necessarily So and noted your use of rubato but you have taken it to another level here. Sarasate lived in Pamplona right next to Basque Country so he was able to capture the fire, beauty and discipline of the culture. I know it ws written as a salon piece so for violin soloists it was also an opportunity to demonstrate their technical skills while evoking the folk music of a locale. This performance was not evocative -- it was absolutely immersive and your progress in rubato technique is beyond impressive. Folk dancing in many places is done slightly behind the beat/tempo and then it seems to leap in front of the beat before settling on the beat. Perhaps some people would call this chaotic and yet it is also what brings a piece of music alive. What a wonderful gift to all of us. Thank you very much!
It's illegal for a 15 year old to be so magnificent on the violin
She isn't...impossible...no one's that good...never happen..couldn't happen...uhhh, I think it happened. OMG

I know Chloe's good, but she never ceases to impress me with every performance she posts
I like the colours in her sound, very interesting and beautiful tone. Works very well for Spanish music too.
I clicked on this video fast, simply amazing playing by Chloe
Very lyrical and very musical, I love that each note finds a way to melt it’s way into the next. She moves her bow in a very breezy manner, and that to me is exciting because I myself have always played in that way, which I found very funny😂
Benno!!!
Happy birthday to Chloe. I will continue to support your activities.
the left hand pizzicato! and the harmonics! amazing
Such an astounding performance! The articulation is so nice✨
You are a great Gift from God to make people's souls rejoice!!! God bless you !
Perfect as always.
The 1729 seriously produces the best sounds of a violin I've heard.
Such a full sound, and combined with Chloe's precision... sheesh...
I wish she'd bring out an album.
Chloe is presently pursuing two recording projects with the SSO: (1) a complete set of Mozart's orchestral works with solo violin - the 5 concertos, the sinfonia concertante etc., and (2) Vivaldi's Four Seasons + Locatelli's "Harmonic Labyrinth."
The CDs are due for release in 2023 and 2024.
Yes indeed, the tone Chloe extracts from this violin is incredibly rich and beautiful!
By the way, another violin by Peter Guarneri of Venice - the ex-Perlman, Klausner c. 1750 - is being sold by Tarisio on 17 November.
A YT search for "Tarisio Guarneri Perlman" takes one to a video of Perlman playing it.
Tarisio says it is "exceptional" but on the evidence that video, what Perlman gets from it falls short of what Chloe gets from hers.
YOUR ART has filled OUR LIFE far beyond what words can SAY
WE give thanks to the LORD for sending YOU OUR WAY
That's why WE celebrate TODAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHUA CHLOEY :)
Brava! You demonstrate what the violin is capable of with such mastery and sensitivity. Thank you for sharing you music with us.
Already a virtuoso, Chloe has a great career ahead. I have not heard this work played better than this.
There is so much joie de vivre and spectacular virtuosity in this performance.
It is one of my favourite performances by Chloe.
(although of course all are incredible🙂).
Such a beautiful melody and
played by such a gifted violinist. A most perfect combination
Happy birthday dear Chloe! I want to wish you all the best, success, joy in your life. I want to tell you sincerely that you have become the person thanks to whom I began to love classical music and practice more in my violin playing. I love you very much, you are a wonderful person
Absolutely astonishing performance, I don't know what it is, but there's always something that makes Chloe's intepretation special and very beautiful. I can't wait to see more from here in the future, keep up the good work Chloe!
hello
I'll comment here because we have similar names
I get the feeling that Chloe Chua is never in a rush. She takes her time to set up every note with the approach she wants to give it. Of course she plays fast when that is required, but she has enough speed that she can even take her time when playing fast passages. Just my non-expert two cents.
Thank you Chloe! You're a big inspiration and you're also making me discover a lot of beautiful violin music; I play the piano, but you're making me think about starting to play the violin as well.
Keep working hard! Love from Italy❤️🇮🇹

The cleanest version I’ve heard
Beautiful fresh performance!
Everything is so good in this piece! The way she executed it is amazing!
Omg the harmonic! It is so clear and melodic ❤
A new piece to listen to which expands my musical list. Thank you.
Chloe performed this work in Copenhagen last August. The other works that made up her recital were:
J S Bach - Sonate c minor BWV 1017, Siciliano Largo and Allegro
Tchaikovsky - Meditation d minor op.42
Mozart - Rondo C major, KV373
Kam Ning - Amazing Grace, arr. for solo violin
Ysaÿe - Caprice d'après l'Etude en forme de valse de Saint-Saëns
It must have been a truly incredible recital.
One part of it - Tchaikovsky's Meditation - has been posted on the Copenhagen Summer Festival's channel.ruclips.net/video/Su516q8vrxk/видео.html
Hopefully, Chloe will post the rest of it here on her channel sometime. I am especially keen to hear the Bach and Kam Ning.
("Dear Santa, last year you brought me Histoire du Tango and it was the best Christmas present I ever had. I wonder if this year ...😀)
Thank you sir! I've appreciate it! Will she come to play in France someday? Where can I see the places where she will play?

I love the lilting introduction, which ends with the explosive gestures at 2:57 to 3:00. It is imbued with such measured well-being. Its variations after the initial statement - which ends at 1:14 - are modest but delightful, and Chloe teases out their every nuance with marvellous sensitivity. It is a dance of people in relaxed enjoyment of one another's company and in no rush to do anything else. It sets the scene perfectly for, and counterbalances, the fireworks and exuberant brilliance that is to follow.
In contrast, in what is otherwise a fine performance (on YT), Antal Zalai cuts the entire section between 1:15 and 3:00. The reason, he says in a reply to one of the comments on the video, is that
"Most violinists make a cut in the first section, I guess it's because the first section is extremely repetitive rhythmically, and also its duration is unequally long compared to the second section."
I think that all three parts of this statement are wrong, and that while it is logically impossible for anyone to disprove the first part (about "most violinists") single-handedly, this superb performance by Chloe is a conclusive refutation of the second and third parts.
From Назар Балынский's comment:
"...so few have this rare and highly intelligent class to be able to take the whole of your heart attention to another beautiful world of musical artistry, to take you away in a manner, you know, that you feel in heaven and wouldn't want to come back to the earth of your day-to-day narrow existence.... Here I don't humiliate the talent of Mr.Zalai, he's dead cool."
Antal Zalai cuts his way to the flashy parts of the piece to show off but he with this he makes serious mistake. These parts are structure and cannot be omitted without losing meaning. These are like choir and soloist. Not question and answer mind you, but statements and affirmations. And these are the most joyous parts of the piece at the same time.
To put it short: I go shopping, make informed decision and buy a Chloe Chua. Poor me? :)
Such a firework! We're treated well. Thank you, Chloe :)
It's always nice to get a notification from your channel.Keep up the amazing work!☺️

Chloe is to perform Waxman's "Carmen Fantasy" (edit - corrected from "Sarasate's "Carmen Fantasy) with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra in the US (CA) on 28 January.
Since she is to perform Mozart's 4th violin concerto with the SSO on January 12 and 13, and it is her 16th birthday tomorrow (January 7), she is making a busy and invigorating start to the year!
Yes indeed, this will definitely be a very exciting year for Chloe. And for your information, it is the Franz Waxman “Carmen Fantasy” that she will be performing with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra in LA this time. So by now she has learnt all the three versions of the Carmen Fantasy and she has enjoyed playing all these pieces very much.
@@limenglee15
Thank you, that is all very good to know!
I had relied on the Pacific Symphony's program for the concert, which states that Chloe will perform _Sarasate_ 's Carmen Fantasy. (The program is on their web-page. Perhaps you might alert them to the error.)
I am glad to hear that Chloe has enjoyed performing all three versions, and glad too of the opportunity to wish you a happy new year!
Thanks for letting me know about the error on the webpage, I have just informed the person-in-charged to amend it. Really appreciate your unwavering support on Chloe’s development and I wish you a very blessed new year ahead! ❤
@@limenglee15It was such a privilege to play in the orchestra accompanying her last week! She plays with such passion and makes even the most difficult pieces look so easy. Hearing it live is an entirely different experience (of course, the recordings are good too...). Hope she'll get to play with the Pacific Symphony again :)

Chloe is such a wonderful violin virtuoso. What I find even more musically impressive though is that being so young and raised in an Asian culture she is absolutely nailing the passion, playfulness, unpredictability and some times chaotic nature of Mediterranean pieces and composers. And that's something you can't just be taught, you need some sort of life experience or a high degree of empathy. She obviously practices A LOT but her mental maturity is out of this world. Also paired with a Guarneri? Pure delight to listen to!
I hope some day she will come to Greece/ Italy/ Spain/ Portugal and experience the music in that environment as well.
This is beautiful
Amazing job chloe
Her harmonics are so much brighter than my future
I'm lost for words
In the beginning there was Silence above the waters. Then the Godess appeared. First day She created the Sound. There was a sensation. Next day She created the Vibrato. There was a sensation again. Following day She created Dynamics. And this was a sensation. Well, and now I hear Rubato as well. A sensation is coming and more to come, yet...
Well played, great recording. You are doing well :)
Amazing recording! Now I have a perfect recording to listen to while I learn this piece (sometime in the next year probably)... I hope to maybe get 10 per cent of this recording. 4 hrs of practice a day? We'll see lol
