Definitely stands out as a V8 Special should!! 👌👌 Guess LR didn't make them different from a Diesel to save costs in production plus I suppose anyone who buys the V8 in the first place wants to be different from the crowd and these modifications have shown what can be achieved. As ever and fantastic result from you guys!!! 😃😃
Thanks for this video. Question for you. The factory won’t sell this version with roof rails, can you confirm that the fixing points are still there though? Cheers.
Glad your back! My favorite channel! I love the new Defender but not nearly as much as the classic. Keep up the great work!! Still dying to see old red on 40s!
I think you made that defender look awesome. Well done, and I like watching how you make all of your defenders look awesome. Well done to yourself and the team of guys that work with you.
Great video as always and seeing a new Defender sets the channel apart. Although not my preference in colour or some of the mods always pleased to see your content and workmanship.
Sam great job it looks fantastic and bloody well sounds like the devil himself is powering it totally awesome. However I’m not sure about the plastic parts would’ve been better if they were in carbon fibre. Cheers buddy keep up your great work 🤙👍
Be reluctant to go wading with all those bits just stuck on, but what's the likely hood of that going off road. I drove a new 110 when they first came out at Land Rover Experience Dunkeld and was impressed but felt some what detached from the experience. They are a good car but I'll stick with my proper Defender 90. Must be nice working on a new car for you guys.
I think the new defender (when they’re not malfunctioning) is an undeniably brilliant car. But personally I’ve said all along they should have allowed the old defender to just die and called this new defender the new discovery, which is basically what it is. It would have made a far better discovery than it has defender. Great content as always @juicemotors, would love more frequent uploads! Haha. Keep up the good work mate love to see it
What has malfunctioned on yours? Software upgrades? The new Defender has many design cues from the classic inside & out. It looks like a modern version of a classic Defender so it is. It would look completely different if it had been a new Discovery which already exists. If you want a basic version then buy a Commercial with steel springs.
I think landrover should improve their engine performance because 5.0 v8 only producing 575 where v8 4.4 liter engine which are turbo charged produce 100 to 200 hp more then landrover
Optimizing the off-road capability would be key! Not more spoiler like yours! Hopin‘ as far as the OCTA is concerned Landrover prefers the opposite way compared to you! Greetings from 🇩🇪! (Owner of a defender 90 carpathian)
Great vibe to this latest vid, Sam; been missing you and the gang (and the dogs) since the final episode of your conversion on my MoD>300Tdi. Good to see you can embrace the latest, while still devoting yourselves to the original pedigree👏. Keep the fun coming!❤
We haven’t altered the fuelling of the engine, but I think it’s more a development of engineering. It still retains the valves so it’s quiet until you want it to be super loud! It’s surprisingly civil inside the vehicle 😎
I'm chuckling because the "Maybe I'm getting old…" comment is coming from a guy called "bangbang"! I too am getting old (59 in Sep of 2022) and you're EXACTLY right! There's a kid over the road with a "snap crackle pop" tune that ruins my peaceful mornings. Well, I say kid… he's in his late 30s. So long as the Defender has a neighbourhood-friendly start-up mode then it's all good. That creation of yours is a literal BEAST of a (new) Defender. I'd love to see what you lads could do if you got your hands on a Defender 130. That'd be some serious fun! Just remember: neighbourhood-friendly!
Sam. Always enjoy your videos and the work that you and the guys do at Juice. However, as you have invited comments, I have to agree with others on here. I too thought of a Hackney cab as soon as the light bar was on. Maybe more so because it's a black car. Secondly, the front end reminded me of my Disco 4, slightly more square in profile. Maybe I prefer under-statement. With that V8 plastic trim is redundant. Apologies if my comments sound harsh.
The new Defender has grown on me. Nice for a daily driver and know that it is an incredibly capable car, but I would never take it to the Australian outback. My Defender 110 Puma has proven itself numerous times and had no problems. Deep long water crossings, corrugations, desert, dunes. Sure not factory standard, but no crazy upgrades either and no lift! Sure if I had plenty of money or won the lottery, I will have the new Defender as a second car.
Working on one up close certainly helped it grow on us too. I still love a Puma, although there's no problem with deserts or dunes here in the UK just yet! 😂 They all have their quirks and best applications. The V8 certainly is fun though!
The plastic pieces on the bonnet didn't look good. You should have made aluminum checker plates in black. Otherwise is is kind of ok. A bit plastic, but that is how it is made.
I do not think anyone has a resolved look for roof lights on the new Defender. Otherwise I agreed with the other mods - it needs 'butching up' esp at the front where its all a bit bland. Still far sooner have a Grenadier fully optioned than this show pony. Sorry Landrover you had your shot and missed.
Not my taste but that’s a personal thing and I’m sure the owner is delighted. What this video has highlighted is what a waste of space the “checker plate” is. Does anyone manufacture a metal plate for the bonnet and wings you could actually stand on and has anyone modified a new Defender that is for off road or less bling and more rough and tough? @juice have you decided what to do with the Disco1 yet that you took the TDi out of? I think a BMW restomod would be my choice.
The name defender is all about off roading.Powerful engine has nothing to do with off roading, but good off road tyers does.Such low profile tyers are not trail worthy. If you want powerful road car,in this price you can buy a very nice 911.
Your modified exhaust is probably illegal in the UK, although the police do not seem to crack down on these...they should do as they are very annoying especially at night!
We haven't modified the vehicle's GPF - it's a cat back exhaust and is totally road legal here in the UK. No remap or tune either. The Milltek system is also e mark certified. The vehicle still retains it's valve system, so you can have it quieter or louder depending on how and where you're driving. Hope you enjoyed the vid!
Seconded! I'd like to know the answer that question as well. Also, did the rear spoiler decrease the camera's visibility in the electronic rear view mirror?
So glad to see the puppies again! Oh, and you guys as well. I’m a fan of the new Defender and you made it look even cooler. I do have a question on the wheels. I believe you said that the finish was matte. Any particular reason not to get those in gloss to match the rest of the vehicle? So glad to have you back!
I really like it! The rear end looks unfinished, needs some kind of deeper rear bumper or bumper extension lower down to match the aggressive front and side profiles. But I’d love a vehicle like that in the driveway.
Well… Let me first say … you’re back… looks like you and your team are still alive 😂 Anyway… To be honest, I don’t like these type of DISCOVERYS …. Upps … I mean Defenders , of course 😜 Must be a nice change for YOU to work on a brand new vehicle… However … The only thing I really miss, on this particular car is your bright shiny JUICE brake calipers. Too loud who needs exhaust ticket being too loud I do like some rumbling but I think too loud in my city it will a ticket you should have installed electronic exhaust that open and close pipe when you want quite
I personally think that you have improved the look of the car and I hope that it brings you lots of business although that exhaust will make you all deaf 👍🏻🏴
I don't get why a manufacturer would be making a sub 10mpg vehicle these days, also, I'm sorry guys, making it louder!! Imagine that thing driving along your high street or past your house if you've been forced to buy a new build close to a road, which seems common practice now, It's a loud way of saying "look how much money I've got", it's just inconsiderate to others. You're just providing the environmental lobby a big club to bash 4 x4 drivers over the head with. The owner has more money than sense, or a really big ego. The mods do nothing for this car, I don't think it's a vehicle that takes modding very well and "side steps"...........that really is a mud and water trap and 90's bling, they'll be rotting in about 7 months!!..........sorry, getting very grumpy in my old age.
Land Rover has manufactured this vehicle with a V8 engine whilst it's still possible to do so. They know there's a market for it, and some people still appreciate this kind of engineering. Each to their own! Side steps are of good quality with a good powdercoat and won't rust out anytime soon. Hope you can appreciate what we've done anyway, we're just trying show a variety of the builds we carry out 😊
@@juicemotors Sure I get it, just a bit of a rant on my part insofar as they're hitting us with all these green taxes, Manufacturers need to take a view to stop producing guzzlers, I know the V8 has been around and we all love a burble, I just think it's a little in your face in terms of noise and a little anachronistic, Glueing bits' of plastic on to flash motors doesn't show you and your guys excellent skill level like your other great videos do, really like the channel and what you do........just find this one a bit crass really..............but I'm just a grumpy old git, thank you for taking the time to reply 🙂🙏🏻

Looks much better, sets it apart from standard, great sound 👍
Where did you order the parts from? I’m based in Texas.
Definitely stands out as a V8 Special should!! 👌👌 Guess LR didn't make them different from a Diesel to save costs in production plus I suppose anyone who buys the V8 in the first place wants to be different from the crowd and these modifications have shown what can be achieved. Superchargers sound 👍🏼 V8 sounds 💪🏼 and the two together 👌🏼
Guys, a new Defender has arrived! A new level, people know and trust you!
As always, great work!
Lovely subtle changes from factory , how it should look from factory anyway !
That exhaust 👌
Thanks for this video. Question for you. The factory won’t sell this version with roof rails, can you confirm that the fixing points are still there though? Cheers.
No to the body kit,And YES To the exhaust & wheels IMO. great vlog tho
Glad your back! My favorite channel! I love the new Defender but not nearly as much as the classic. Keep up the great work!! Still dying to see old red on 40s!
That looks and sounds the muts nuts Sam. Great looking car and so many nods to the original Defender . Pity they cost so much !!
I think you made that defender look awesome. Well done, and I like watching how you make all of your defenders look awesome. Well done to yourself and the team of guys that work with you.
looks very nice, good job. recon it needed mud flaps tho stop all those splashes up the back and sides
Really proud of you🎉🎉🎉
Great work - looks and sounds great - would like chunky tyres ( mud terrain ) poss more bright wire grill on front - but a good job never the less.
Brilliant.....hate the shape of the new Defenders.....but that just looks and sounds amazing...Great job!
Now that does look and sound the part 👌
But Undecided on the roof lights though, thinking the wind noise that they will make
Great video, Great work, very professionally done! I always enjoy all your videos. Keep up the good work👍
a very great great job man, I personally love it.
I'm sure the drug dealer who commissioned the Tupperware will be very happy.

If i had the money, i may have gone in a different direction but, good on them for making it their own 👌👍

Looks cracking 👏🏼🔥 are those the vulkan top lights and bonnet vents? Did you find a noticeable difference in wind noise post fitting the lights?
So that’s what a plastic surgeon does 😂😂😂
Great but would love to see what Mahker would do.
What happened to the automatic m57 conversion?
Not sure about the roof lights but the rest of it is how it should be from factory.
Got some fresh Juice today! Gonna be a great day!!!
What's happened to the M57 conversion?????????????????
Why would you glue bits of plastic to a £100k car? Not for me.
Each to their own!
If i was ever to get defender you guys would definitely be doing it up for me I think you have done super job love it 👏
Why am I thinking London black cab, when I look at those roof lights?
😂
Exactly what I was thinking
The plastic pieces on the bonnet didn't look good. You should have made aluminum checker plates in black. Otherwise is is kind of ok. A bit plastic, but that is how it is made.

The part where you two fire up the engine in the lift 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 the excitement is incredible 😂😂😂😂 UP THE BOYS
It was so incredibly LOUD!!! 😂
P. S. I still love you and your team ❤️
It looks like Land Rover forgot to design the car with an exhaust on, then they just added it on at the end.
work on a D300 !, that V8 is nonssense ! greetings,
Can you do the same to my Citroen Berlingo?
I'm Sorry but we can't hear the Exhaust Note over the Wonderful Background Music ....
Sorry to complain ....

Where has the bmw auto 110 gone🤔
Need proper bumpers that dont get scratched when you bump
what a job, looks and sounds brilliant
Try something on a LR4 or LR3
Where have you been!
Love the sounds of that V8.
Epic epic work everyone.
You guy's ever done any work on the old Baby Landy the Freelander 2?
Smashed it once again 😎🇬🇧
I like olives but I like this build more

Not hating on it, the end result looks smart but not my cup of tea. All a bit academic as I cannot afford the base vehicle..
I agree. I’m not a fan of the Pretender as it’s too ‘townie’ for me but each to their own. It’s certainly an improvement over standard.
First and foremost - at least you have got rid of the plastic chequer plate pieces either side of the bonnet. Right from the beginning a no no for me…
I can’t believe it’s brand new and we’re the rear wing was put was all scratched from some incompetent person washing a £140k motor
Sorry don't like stick on ones they came off my discovery going down the motorway and they where fitted by landrover
I really like it! The rear end looks unfinished, needs some kind of deeper rear bumper or bumper extension lower down to match the aggressive front and side profiles. But I’d love a vehicle like that in the driveway.
