Cleaning Disgusting Car Carpets: 22 Years No Cleaning

- The carpet floors in my Lumina have not been cleaned for 22 years. There are coffee, drink and food stains right below the middle bench seat in the front. There is a ton of dirt and debris and grime that needs to be vacuumed first. A strong degreaser cleaner will be applied to all stains and agitated. The solution will be extracted to revealed a better appearance.
This is how to clean your dirty nasty car carpet stains. Watch as I make a drastic difference in my interior car carpets on my Lumina. I used a vacuum from harbor freight, Super Clean Degreaser diluated 4:1 or 5:1 for carpets, Chemical Guys interior handheld brush, and the Bissell SpotClean ProHeat hot water extractor. Oxy clean,Ajax soap and rubbing alcohol, and water mixed in a spray bottle works a lot better on tough stains

Get a brush-head drill attachment for agitating after you spray to get deeper into the fibers, and one of those insecticide pump sprayers gets better/faster saturation and saves your hands. You might need a different cleaning solution as well. Stauffer Garage has done videos of carpet/seats even worse than this and got them looking great again if you want to check out his methods and cleaners.

Did this on my 23 year old corolla. It’s a hand me down and my first car. Removed the seats and it made getting everything clean a lot easier!
Nice, here’s a tip, use ur wet vac (if you have one) after you extract and it gets extra moisture out
I detailed a nasty car a while back using your same method but I forgot what was used. Thank you for refreshing my memory. We bought a used car with nasty carpet, and I had to search this method. Ty for sharing
Pro tip: Next time when you wanna just scrub it after you spray it, don't scrub it with the machine on because it will suck it up before you want it to.
Why do they even make car floors with carpet anyway? They just get nasty and harbor smells and they're a pain in the butt to clean. I'm gunna be rich when I invent a nice car flooring that's not carpet.

Lol i’d totally buy it & pay for it to be professionally installed Bc honestly my car doesn’t have any stains or food or drink spilled in it at all but it still gets that closed up smell from your feet wetting the carpet from the rain & then drying over & over again.. just smells a little closed in - if that makes sense. I don’t eat or drink in it so that def helps but carpet in a car is still weird. I want some of those weathertech mats.
Your a little late 😂 you can replaced your carpet floors with a rubber Matt or rhino line it.

Do you have any suggestions if I don't have a hot water extractor? I do have a wet and dry shop vac. I will try to rent an extractor but if I don't find one, what would you suggest?
You could always spray APC, agitate then wipe it off with a damp microfiber towel. Its more labour, but it works.
Yes like Magnekjo said... Sweet Project Cars has a video without a hot water extractor he just uses a shop vac. He makes up a cleaning mixture of like bleach, ammonia windex, Ajax for smell, and rubbing alcohol and maybe something else. He then puts it in a bottle then pours it on the stains and agitates while literally filling up the area with water from a hose then vacuums it all up with a wet vac.

You know what. This not my mom's car. After watching this video. I saw more dirt than usual. NVM I actually thought this was my mom's car coz the first time you upload it was around the same week when my mom sold it.

There was a dilution to it. Either 4 to 1 or 5 to 1

9 hours later I'm still detailing the front of my car! It was dirty but not like dirty dirty! I like using a handheld steamer it gets into the nooks and crannies! Tomorrow's another day! ✌🏼🚐🍷🍷
How long did you wait for the car to fully dry?
I don’t drive this car and I’m about to scrap it. I just closed the doors right away and haven’t opened them I don’t think since this video. But.... when I cleaned my 7 seater SUV and 5 seater SUV I let them sit over night and one time I put a space heater in to help with the moisture while the windows were cracked.

Kylie Kaykay lol not all southerners sound country lol especially New Orleanians 😂😂 some parts of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi & a few parts in Texas sound super country to me, but I’ve found that Louisiana is mostly a mix of heavy, light & intermittent Cajun French and.... well.... “Yat” lol like me! 🥰🤗 I’ve heard ppl from all around the world visiting here say we sound like a mix of 2 different northern states - I don’t remember which 2 tho but I think it was Brooklyn & New Jersey, don’t quote me on that tho - like I said, I really dont remember which. I just remembered being as surprised by that, as they were by how not country we sound down here for being a very southern state. 🤷♀️
