Great video. Do you know if display cable connection to my ebike controller is the same as on this new display is it automatically compatible. If not would you know of a website that gives device compatability information between devices and different brands.
Hi Edwin, thanks man. I don't know your bike. I can't tell you that. The one I have is Bafang compatible only. I don't know such website unfortunately :(
Hello, how do you adjust max current? My controller is 25A, how do i know if display is using all 25A or only 20A for example? Thanks
Hi man, I am not sure how to do that. I have to stop this bike last week to replace the tires, as soon as I get it back I will take a look at the display settings.

I can see the 961 display in direct full sunlight (sunlight readable) I have tried other LCD 750c, 860c and P860.. the display is black in sunlight or if there is a reflection of the light.. they are impossible to see in an Ebike riding situation..
Did they fix the Standard LCD (not readable in sun) with the ("sunlight Readable LCD screens when they put this model out..? or do you still have to pull into shade or bring the ebike display inside to see that you are traveling 25mph..?
As a solar ebike rider, i need to monitor the Watts being drawn (in real time) to make the most efficient gear:power level ratio to find the sweet spot for long range.. Thanks I see that you are filming inside.. Why didn't you film out in full sunlight..?
Most of the ebike displays are like that in the sun. I use polarised sun glasses all the time, so I can still read on sunny days, but the colors change..
I found a lot easier to show the display settings indoors.. sorry

@@BK42Cycles Hi, I contacted Varstrom and he said it's a removed feature because the Bafang 48v 250W motor doesn't support mode switching. Thanks bye

I have BBSHD 1000W Bafang and it also does not have the sport function
The defunct password, 1000001 does not allow me into the mode the alter the assist levels from 5 to 9. Any thoughts....??

With which motor controller did you use this display ?
Hi Rafal, I use it with the stock controller ( it's one of those basic Chinese controllers ) 48V 750W. TKS
@@BK42Cycles But you probably don't have stock firmware? I have the same configurations and unfortunately no switching mode. Did you upload some Open Firmware from Github from Daniel?

Which screen do you recommend? Price is not a concern
I haven't used many of them to be honest. It depends what you need,, simple display? Bluetooth? Touch? GPS, and what kind of bike you want to install it ;)

I have BBSHD 1000W Bafang and it also does not have the sport function. Why?
You need to check in the Display advanced settings if it is available there. It is not about the BBSHD but the display functionality. Cheers
Thank you for answering my question. I checked the advanced settings but I don't have any option to select in the RIDING MODE settings. Maybe I have an older version of the software, or my engine does not support the sport version. XD I need help with power
While it might seem a bit dated, give it a shot with a different display initially. Perhaps a modern one could provide the option. If that doesn't work, consider upgrading the controller. It should work out ;) Best of luck!
Is there a way to change to speedometer instead of maximum 30km/h to 45 or 50 or something? My bike drives faster than 30
Hi.. unfortunately not. That is actually very odd because the central information goes a lot higher. My bike for instance is displaying 52km/h on the central numbers and keep the pointer at 30km/h max.. it is like when you reach the max. speed on your car, you keep going faster, but the speedometer does not show it anymore.
The central numbers are very precise though

Please, what is the difference between imperial and metric?
The display's simple answer is: Imperial: MPH Metric KL/H
The complicated answer:
Imperial and metric are two different systems of measurement used to measure things like length, weight, and volume. Imperial uses units like inches, feet, pounds, and gallons while metric uses units like meters, grams, and liters.
Metric is based on the idea of multiples of 10, which makes it easier to use and convert between units. It's also used more internationally.
Imperial can be more confusing because it uses different types of units, and it's mostly used in the United States.
Overall, metric is seen as easier and more efficient than imperial, especially for science and technical work.
Mine shows 0-60 I would like 0-30 is there a way to do this?
What do you mean? The maximum speed? Tks
@@BK42Cycles he means the speedometer probably. I want the opposite that he has.. so instead 0-30km/h switch to 0-60km/h

@@BK42Cycles I have light with built in horn. LCD have light sensor and turn light when it's dark but nothing for using horn.

Can i assume that the reason you filmed this display inside with low light, is because you can't actually see this display (intended to be used in the light) can't be seen outside in direct sunlight.. Q does it have an OLED Sunlight Readable TFT display.?.
or just a standard TFT that can't be seen if the sun in anywhere in the vicinity..? Why did you film this inside..?
Oh, you want the inside scoop on my filming routine, huh? hahahha Living in a place where winter means -12 Celsius, filming outdoors is basically an extreme sport. 😂❄️
BTW the display performs flawlessly even on a sunny day!
Why is the font so stylized? It makes it hard to read and discern at glance. For some reason every next bafang display gets worse in some way. Burlingame font is said to be optimal for driving safety.
