Ryan, as with other comments, I too am very glad to find your channel with real time tutorials. I do appreciate all your time and comments you generously make about every step you decide to make during the process and the explanations, suggestions the reasons why. So very generous of you to other artists.
Thank you so much Ryan for the crackling fire tutorial. My first realistic painting. As well as my 1st with you. I am interested in following you. Not sure I like my fire yet... its growing on me. Thank you again!!!
Watched you twice in a row. So incredibly fascinating how you make every color blend, stroke of the brush, "little secret tricks", etc... they all seem achievable - which has relieved me and freed my mind of doubt and insecurities. So very happy I found you. God bless you and yours. Sarah Anne
Thank you for this tutorial. It has been very helpful for me. I have never painted fire before, and will be doing so in the painting I am currently working on.
Ryan you taught me how much I know i have disabilities mental and when I watch you paint and knowing it helps me my family thanks you to as soon as i can afford real brushes and good paint I will and you some pics thank you Ryan you don't realize how you have impacted me and my family's life thank you
A fall farm scene with a truck load of pumpkins with a bonfire of burning leaves would make an interesting and colorful painting! Love the crackling fire🔥!!!!
This painting has the biggest crackling fire! I trusted your process and my painting turned out really really good. Thank you Ryan for your lessons. They are cathartic.
Hi Ryan, I've watched this video many times and have finally taken the plunge and picked up a brush! I wanted to reply to your question about whether or not there's a painting that I couldn't leave until it was finished. My answer doesn't quite fit the question. Thirty years ago I took a photo while travelling that I've always thought I would love to turn into a painting. And I didn't paint! Thanks to Covid lockdowns I started watching painting tutorials and learning how to paint. I'm so glad I found your channel! I learn so much every time I watch. But now that photo is more and more in my mind. Some day soon I'll be confident enough to start figuring out how to put together an original piece of art.
Whoop! Whoop! I'm SO thankful to have found you! Started with Bob Ross... trust me, I cannot even draw a stick figure. Soooo, he taught me well enough that I decided I'd try my luck at acrylics. Love landscapes, sky, water, trees... just enchanted by nature. But Viktor was too difficult for me to copy and I love Joni Young, but I didn't realize HOW MUCH I still needed to learn until I watched you. You explain every little thing and I've been going nuts trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. You've helped me more than I can say. Thanks for making art not only rewarding... but for making it FUN! God Bless You and Yours Sarah
did anyone try to paint this? Its sooo nice...i will try to paint it..hope it turns out as pretty as ur painting..Ryan.Thanks for your effort and tutorials..they r soo helpful
Beautiful how you create depth and texture! Wow, thanks for sharing. I would like to see a marshy Florida scene with egrets, herons and hawks, etc. oh, don’t forget palm trees
Your are an excellent teacher! I really like how much you explain each step and process...this painting is beautiful! And I can see you creating a series of these elements of fire! Great painting!!
this is the first time i tried painting fire and you really helped me understand all the layers and everything. thank you for putting out this amzing tutorial of a crackling fire!
Hello Ryan, I have an art channel (new), and I find such inspiration in your videos. You are extremely talented. Thank you so much for sharing your gift!! Also, I love Howie!!!
That is so beautiful. I am currently working on a Phoenix flying out of the flames so that is why I am watching you do flames. I think you said something about doing another flame or fire so I'm gonna look and see if I can find it thank you so much that was wonderful
You are an excellent instructor. Thank you for sharing your skill and artistry. I've really been inspired to do some "crackling" of my own. I do not, however, expect it to come out looking like yours. Still, I learned new techniques to try, and I know I can make great use of them. "Cracklin' Rosie", signing out.
I just love how this crackling, sparkling fire turned out, makes me wanna camp! :D ❤️ Beautiful work Ryan :) Thank you for taking the time and putting so much effort into making this painting tutorial, I really appreciate it :)
If you have any suggestions for future paintings which also involve campfires, or other interesting light sources let me know. I could really see this sort of thing become a series I'm really passionate about. With that said, have a great time with the new episode and stay creative! -Ryan
Stay Creative Painting with Ryan O'Rourke Such a wonderful video to watch and learn from. Could u make your next video one the solar system. That e so cool to see in a painting. Thank u:)
Hi, i have a question but before i wanna thank you very much because i learned a lot from you. I have make a picture based on you work and a friend wanna buy this from me. So is that allowed? Because its closed to youre work. Even with some small changes.
I have a suggestion! How about a fire, with a mountain far off in the back, but at a grass field? Because then you get the fire, but also beutiful trees, and green grass. Like a summer-fire thing.
Hi Ryan. Just to say hello. It's been a long time since your last upload, so I hope you & your beloved ones (cat included) are fine. Thanks for your effort. 😊 Edited: Oh NOW I read the other worried comments and your replies! 😁 It's good to see you're busy busy busy! It's awesome to know you're fine.
Thank you so much - so happy I found you! Wow - the detail and the time and effort you put in to these videos is remarkable. Thank you again - I’m signing up for PATREON asap!!!!!!
I love your fire paintings. So beautiful. Maybe do some sort or scene with glowy lanterns for light source pictures. Maybe a holiday themed one of a snowy landscape with some glowy lanterns. Keep up the amazing tutorials! One of these days I will do a follow along with one 💗
It's beautiful!! I love your fire ones. Did the fire on the beach, which i loved doing and it's so pretty. Thank u for sharing.. i will do this one also, it's just lovely!!
Where have you been??? I have saved your African Sunset ..a long time ago..and now It's gone. I did one..but that was a sample..I want to do it again and it's not there. I love the way you teach and your paintings. Thank you so much. From Sylvia in El Cajon ( L Ca-hone) California.
You are great! Really awesome! A very talented artist and a very good teacher as well. I like the way you explain your technique. It helps a lot. Thank you so much for sharing your process. I am learning a lot from you! Keep up the good work! Greetings from Sweden.
WOW this is gorgeous Ryan....I also like the change in how you did the background (painting the entire base color first and then adding the highlights) because I agree that it makes it look more natural. Awesome job on this one! Thanks for all you do! As for future suggestions, how about wild horses running through the prairie or a dock with a sunset over a lake and mountains in the background?
Beautiful artwork Ryan. Something to note - I studied graphic art - one thing our professors always taught us was photographs ARE NOT good true to the image. 2 reasons - flash from the camera will throw off your light source and shades. Also, camera lens will distort true perspectives. 🙂 keep on painting!!
Great, as usual! Any chance of a really Canadian Christmas/Holiday/Winter scene? Just a thought. Really like these longer paintings, but also find learning from the short ones was helpful -- so would welcome those back, too, if you're looking for a break from the longer ones. Keep it up. Your work is both good and educational.
I just recently found your channel and LOVE IT! But I noticed the last time you uploaded was 2 months ago??! Just my luck! Hope you still plan on uploading to this channel.
