@@mostrealtutu the game has a brightness setting but Indeed based on FloppySword video, I did slightly improve light in some parts of the game.
Videos like this are very valuable, as I normally don't see new players start their adventure, much easier to notice small flaws in Penkura.

Personally I like the current tutorial where you have to actually pay attention to information instead of the game babying you.
Edit; I guess you could add an option to turn on or off such features to prevent alienating those with dyslexia and the like.
The devs released an update crediting floppy’s video for generating enough revenue to focus on this game. Maybe another vid floppy?
Being the loot goblin that i am in games it drove me crazy to watch you twice not check all the lockers for the material you needed lmao.. and you missed the passcode for the medbay and you were 1 line away from reading it😂 cool game.. think ill have to check it out. Keep up the good work

One more line. You only had to read one more line to see the code and understand the doctor's room message. ADHD is crazy.

DUDE this is exactly what I've been wanting, more survival games on alien worlds. The potential for weird biomes and fancy tech is limitless!
It's my understanding that the medbay you were in was destroyed and your consciousness was sent to another medbay somewhere else, which also means you left all those resources in the machine that's now under rubble.
I'm loving this game so much that I came here looking for more!! So glad I found it, although I'm very sad to see that there's only one vid. 😪

This game looks damn cool. And side note, if I've ever left a channel, I don't announce it as sort of 'Hey look at me go!' The 3 things I know about RUclips game content creators. You don't make the policy. You MUST saying 'Interesting' at least once per episode and finally if it's an early access game, you must also say 'It is what it is'. Oh, and I have RUclips premium. So I guess... it is what it is.

Game looks interesting. I want to see base building and I want to know more about the story! (FYI: Game was released into EA in December 2018 but taking a look at the patches it seems it is still being worked on.)

yes the whole premise seems to be a more detailed half-life chronicle. I must have this :)
still in early access, but i can wait...intriguing stuff btw. Though i do have to ask why a robot body needs oxygen (going off on the left arm of the PC) although seeing as how the Lazarus thing mentions DNA, Sex and other stuff it might be more of cyborg situation. Will definitely keep an eye on this one.

is 2 devs working on this game, lets show them some love for their work and buy the game :D imma buy it too and play it they even have a discord, seems pretty active. dunno lately indie games became 100000 times better than tripple A games and stuff, i mean if we look at Valheim, is a good example, Manor Lords another good one and list goes on, i would rather buy such game, even if is not fully developped and suuoirt hard working ppl that actually make games bcs they like games and have a passion and not to milk money with expenisve cash shops and stuff.

Well that was one of the longest build ups to get to character creation I've seen, at least you managed to select the male chromosome but then got totally confused when it came to allocating traits (DNA profile) due to speed reading the information in the computer and saying 'There's a lot going on here, I don't know what I'm doing'. I'm sure it won't matter in the long run as you'll probably get 'power ups' - Game looks interesting but maybe slow down just a little lol
Like every single video I make and talk about, these recordings are first looks to see if it's worth playing them further in live streams which would be a fresh start and more time to explore or for others to purchase the game for themselves. I have zero intention of continuing almost any of the games I play in the video recordings. Thanks for watching.

thumbnail vs actual game footage , the different is like the gap between earth and sky. so I doublecheck in steam . the conclusion is the same. the game does not have the graphics that the thumbnail shows. but I understand why its being used as the thumbnail.
Not going to lie I am three minutes in and this game has a lot of assets that look like it came out of star citizen even the quest log text and ui.
go to 4.5min and hes already riding a train yupp star citizen.

The ability to read: The bane of every single RUclipsr who tries to keep things from being "Boring". Taking things slower and a lack of "Yadda, Yadda" would probably have made progression faster. Then again, I play to immerse myself, Ive watched several RUclipsrs play this, feeling the need to Speedrun and needlessly banter, and missing the code time and time again. 🤣
..because it does not matter much, this is not a deep dive video. It is to showcase it to see if people are interested in it and if I want to deep dive into during longer live streams. Anyway, yadda yadda, thanks for watching...

I know, I get told this a lot and it doesn't matter. It's a single playthrough to showcase the game to see if it's worth buying or not or for me to continue in a live stream. I have to make this more clear it seems.

it is alive, if you check steam DB, there is alot work goin on , patches and stuff, is only 2 devs woring on it and yea since the game wasn't advertised they do not have so much funds i guess, it is a promissing game tbh

Dude was trying to put some fake "gravel" into his voice to sound more manly, epic fail. Dude was trying to have an impressive fake accent, but it mostly just sounded like an unidentifiable Eastern European mush when it didn't have bits of Southern and Midwestern (USA) creeping into it. Clearly was reading a script, probably for the first time ever without any retakes or rehearsals. Granted, I'm not sure if I would personally be able to do it any better myself... but they PAID someone to act out those lines and that just seems wrong.
But @FloppySword read his lines with gravitas and what felt like the right amount of emotional investment for the situation as it played out. So good job, sir.
Other than that, it looks like an interesting game. I wish I had money so I could go pick up a copy. But I don't. Sad. Anyway, thanks for giving us a taste of this game. I'll add it to my wishlist for "someday if I win the lottery" alongside Cyberpunk 2077 and the FFVII remake.
Nice looking game but, toooooo much reading and too dark.
Wish you would have turned your light on so we could see. Was just black screen in alot of the areas.
Tried three devices at 50% brightness, Apple and Android. My monitor is quite low to keep eye strain down and I was able to see everything. What device were you watching on and brightness setting?

For an incredible open world game, the first hour was extremely boring running around in small corridors and elevators reading menus trying to craft things...

I couldn't take it. the game looks OK, but your narration killed any hope of seeing the game. I have no idea how you received a single positive review.
That looks way too complicated for a game. As an engineer, when I want to play, I like things to be easy to understand and use without having to read manuals. This gameplay needs to be simplified or else it's not much of game - it's more like real life. But that's just me.

I can answer your question multiple times.
Today's market space for downloadable games is flooded with many of the same game, each one being loud, and using the methods for getting attention. So some games may require sifting through the load of crap to find anything worthwhile.
It's an early access game, and as such doesn't warrant a deep dive, or true opinion of the final product, although, tha being said it is being sold as if this is a final product. This would just mean most critisim is completely fair to have based on this incomplete, and/or broken thing, and commenst like "it's early access" should be largely ignored when reviewing it. If you are selling the game, the customer is buying the product as is and has the full right to complain when it doesn't function, and is within right to demand a refund if that sold game is modified in any way that changes it in unacceptible ways.
It's on my wishlist, and has been for ages now. No point buying an incomplete or messy project that is bound to either unfulfill promises, and/or be changed in a drastic and unlikable manner. It's a shitty practice to sell a demo, or even an incomplete project, but society has deemed this ok so here we are having to deal with this nonsense; much like every other detestible practice. I do thank enough loud people having the brains to not allow NFTs wholly take root.

Not crap so far. Been out for 6 years.
A lot of developers will keep their games in early access bc xsteam allows them to make changes to the games as many times as they want for free while it is still listed as early access. This may be why they are keeping it early access.
