I never really considered buying an addon before...
That spaceship generator looks like something i would just lose weeks on end into.
Is quite insane the Blender development, absolutely great !!!
thank you for collecting and organizing all of this information
Ok this video was seriously perfect and really useful. Thanks a ton!
These addons are amazing! Thanks for the video.
No problem 👍
Muchas gracias por mostrar el poder de blender con los addons ojalá algún día nos enseñes a usar cada addons que usas en cámara lenta ya que el idioma inglés no lo entiendo. Saludos desde Argentina y muchas gracias.
I've been doing things in Blender for about 3 weeks or a month now and I've never used any addons. I recently enabled the VR addon so I could use my Oculus in the 3d viewport. It's pretty awesome. I've needed Cablerator, so I'm really excited to see what I can do with that. I'm hoping it will make building these cars a little better.
I commented early in the video and I'm only half way through and I can't believe all of the addons I've been missing out on!
So GREAT hard surface model! lovely!!!
great video as always, thank you for your efforts
Hi, thank you for this video. Happy to see my add-on in all this great plugins. :)
Your add-on looks amazing. I’m definitely gonna get it when I can
im downloading almost everyone of these addons.. thanks sooo much!
Hey m8, u r using me screencast keys addon but not metioning Jmesh-tools for hardsurface modeling, what's up? ;-)
It is what it is 💀
great list, thank you
this really help thank you
Thank you so much .
Wonderful. Thank.
OMFG!!! THANK YOU BRO YOU'RE A LIFESAVER!!! ^___________^
Good compilation, boss
that Cablerator could whip up some killer grind tracks for sonic.
cool demo
Thank you i am just starting modelling and cant buy addons like hard ops or box cutter, but these addons that you show will help me very much
There is also a free version of Hard Ops that offers enough to help your workflow :)
Nice lmk why almost every mod you shown is some sort of Boolean mod 🤤
Great video.
My advice: Buy the hard Ops / Boxcutter ultimate bundle if you're serious about hard surface modeling and can't afford to buy multiple addons. Hard Ops alone is far more feature rich than Meshmachine, but when you consider the fact that you can get Hard Ops _and_ Boxcutter for less than you'd pay for Meshmachine, then the choice becomes even more obvious.
what about fluent power trip instead of boxcutter& hardops?
do you think buying both is over kill?
@@alexandreducrocq3786 Nope. Both are fantastic tools.
Awesome video
Ok, purchasing Fluent. The cables and chains tools alone can save me a lot of time and headaches.
Hi, do anyone knows some plugin for Blender that makes the Subdivision surface works the same as in C4D?
thanks!
If you make another one of these videos, you should put grid modeler on the list c:
When I see such addons, y first thought is "Ooh, how fast and easy", but when I installed it and tried, I have another thought "Shitt, I don't understand how to use it, it's so difficult to use")))))
Just practise my fellow artist.
Make a donut from Blender Guru'a Channel.
He Will explain EVERYTHING. Almost.
Try using the "Fluent" add on! I just installed it and is incredibly easy to get started with.
@@vishank7 Yep, I have one, really good addon, but mostly I prefer subdiv workflow
Can you review grid modeler blender addon?
You should add a time next to descriptions so people can jump right to it. I keep forgetting which is which when looking through descriptions lol
awesome vid . Can you make a video about environment creation addons ( i am trying to make a dirt race track )
Aaaaaahhh ya already got me to get most of these lol. Still thanks for the upload, haven't even heard of shipwright and one other before. I'm sure you've seen the upcoming SYNTH. Shipwright, once SYNTH is out (Chip, lol if you're reading, gimmie!) will be a game changer to add to my workflow. Plus some newer users might not know about the free built in ones.
I've slowed down a bit with rendering and am starting with learning on cg cookie to expand my hard surface skills. Kitops blew my mind, cablerator made me throw my hands up in the air when I seen your video for it, and fluent just sealed the deal for me. I love nature scenes but I can do those fairly well now, and I didn't want to get stuck just making the same things.
Intuition kicked in with kitops2 pro, and cablerator with fluent opened me up to a whole new area I had no idea I loved. I've been on the fence with a few others but this video might of convinced me, especially decal machine. I just don't like how some addon hotkeys mess around with others so I take the "if it's working, don't break it" approach lol. Just takes time to learn properly, but true failure is manufactured in our minds. You just don't quit, ever. I can't wait to see your video on SYNTH once it's out. I gotta stop watching Chip's videos on it or I may pass out lol
Thank you very much for the interesting comment and the feedback. i really appreciate it ;)
Hey man same here. Your videos are very easy to listen to and your calm demeanor while you show the videos of the developers just gives a sense of curiosity toward the products. I suggest you and AskNK need to get some side channel done as you both are responsible for me saying goodbye to over $600 recently. I hope you generate a commission for your efforts.
Who is Chip & does he have a YT channel ?
@@vlweb3d His background is vast, best to look up Chipp Walters on arstation. But his youtube channel is literally just his name lol. He's a really talented artist and a true veteran, one of the ones I look up to.
@@randmanq Found his YT channel. Thanks.
Yeah man, your videos are always cool
8:13 I love the Unf*ck tool LMAO
I tried most of them and all of them are fantastic, but not mentioning SpeedFlow is a huge mistake. Great review btw.
Agreed, Speedflow is solid!
This guy could sell me default plugins to blender
Fantastic Addons and Where to Find Them
that *CABLERATOR* is must be very useful plugin in Blender i thought
& also *BOOLEAN TOOLS* is more important tool for Blndr for saving time.. both are great
Fluent looks super cool. But Boxcutter seems like it can do most of the same and comes highly recommended. Which one is better with boolean operations? Does Boxcutter have the cloth option that Fluent has?
Awesome vid man, pog altho i find the lack of InspirationTuts discord link disturbing :(
Thank you.
You're welcome!
@@InspirationTuts keep up the great work!
I'm interested in some of this but don't know which one to buy. What's the difference between hops, boxcutter, fluent, and mesh machine? Also which one is better decal machine or kit ops?
The Hard Ops / Boxcutter bundle is by far the best suite of hard surface tools you can buy, period. It's not even close. Fluent is fantastic for beginners - being far more simple to use - but doesn't have half the features of Hard Ops. Mesh Machine is pretty good, but you can get the Hard Ops / Boxcutter bundle for less money. Like Fluent, Mesh Machine has a fraction of the tools, and is more expensive to boot. Decal Machine and Kit Ops are harder to compare, because they do different things. If you're planning to do low poly / Game assets, Decal Machine is the way to go, but if you don't care about poly count, I'd probably go for Kit Ops. One last thing.....there is a free version of Kit Ops you can download if you want. You just need to google it.
Hope that helps!
WOW, thank you sooo much! lot of very usefull add-on!
Anybody know if I should use fluent or Hardops + box cutter?
Wow Wow Add-ons!
These can really be standalone softwares.
10/10
Great
Blender: improves constantly
AUTODESKs:constantly rises running cost.
Game over
mind = blown
short version:
Loop tools looks like a good one.
everything else is just booleans or chamfer which blender already has
you should do a part 2, all mentioned programs are $40 now
WHY ARE WE NOT TRYING THIS!!!
Grid Modeler by Kushiro, Jay mesh tools by Jayanam, Cuber by Blender Guppy are also nice addons
Links?
i just checked them out ...really nice
Wow, wonderful. Are they all free?
Bad news, only a few of them are free
Sooo does these addons tackle N-gons?
N-gons are good
anyone using boxcutter for 2.9 up? im interested and looking for some insight :)
i use boxcutter 2.91 works great one of best add-ons Ive purchased. Highly reccomend (get it as the package deal with hardops)
The big problem is to understand WHICH ONE we have to use...
Because it is very hard to learn all of them.
MeshMachine, or Fluent or HardOpss/Boxutter..?
if your starting out Id suggest HardOps only, maybe Boxcutter to play around with.
Are some of these addons available on 2.7
it depends, check the addon pages and see.
Thanks
ım sculpter but nice video ıt would help my character props.
What addons do you use for sculpting?
@@MarseleXXL nothing blender easily handle it
You forgot jay mesh add-on
Thanks for the feedback!
will I mess the blender if I use more than 5 of these?
Nah. Just don’t combine too many big ones. I use Hardops, kitops, boxcutter, mirra tools, cablerator, decal machine, mira tools, quick curve, quick draw, gaffer, and grungeit. No problems.
@@doomwalker9934 Damn, dude!
Damn. Not sure if I want Fluent or Hardops/Box cutter bundle.
Same, wich one u got finally? I can't decide
@@Carlosnl16 Ended up with Hardops/Box Cutter. a lot of great learning material over at Blender Bros.
None of the links to blender market are working.
All of these are free ?
Im turkhsih but youre cool make models happy New years 🥰
thank you, i wish a wonderful year for you.
@@InspirationTuts thanks happy New years 🥰🥰
@@InspirationTuts I want to Corona dead and all world life
@@InspirationTuts what youre age
as soon as i saw the box cutter i wanted to use it straight away, buy then i found out it wasnt free.
Be very carefull when using this addons, they are really good, but if you don't know the basics of good topology or good uvs don't focus on using the addons. The last thing you want is to have a good porfolio but no Idea about technical stuff. Think if your 3d model would perfom good outside of blender, if it does then you are good to go, but if it only works inside of blender then you are overusing the software tools.
What is hard surface model?
"Hard surface is things like cars, armor, weapons, and architectural elements. As a 3D modeler, it's common to specialize in hard surface models or organic models. Someone who focuses on things like props and environments and a modeler who focuses on characters, animals, and creatures, etc."
@@PaulPictures thank you.
@@10subash no problem, I was lookin for answer for that question like maybe one week ago
ah perfect, a video where most add-ons are completely out of their budget because they use Blender specifically for the fact that it's free
numba twälf
what questions me is..how much function lacks vanilla blender what cost a full licence
what cost modelling tools, remeshing tools,UV tools, these new GeoNode tools, render tools, painting tools, sculping tools, for a one full User liccence ...
more then 1000$ per year..?
look like blender is not really free how krita gimp Inkscape. .
more free for developer and hoppy artist . but with pro feature maybe it cost now a lot of money ...
How many people are here like me who can't install blender 2.9 due to opengl error but still watching this.
Its free?
Dysleksia lvl2
i cannot for the life of me figure out how to generate cables with machine tools, i guess i'll dig around in their youtube tutorials
edit: 3:24 he's now talking about a different addon called fluent NOT machine tools. i missed this and due to there being no chapter for it got the wrong add on :(
I'm studying Blender, from absolute zero. But i already knows how to do a thing: A square. I can easily teach you this. Two clicks on desktop Blender icon to open Blender, and "voi'la", you created your first square! Now, you are a skilled 3d artist just like me, creating futuristic squares on infinite sci-fi spaces. Your next step: Hollywood! Wow! I'll link my portfolio here, to show all my brilliant work to audiences. thousands of different squares in different colors. Theres no people in the world more talented than me. Hoar! Now... Talking seriously: I would like to understand, how to tweak that clean model visual when inserting it in real footage. No matter how talented you are modeling, you can create a beautifull complex Optimus Prime. Looks perfect in Blender, always. But... when you export the model to a real footage, it looks like a clean robber toy. wtf... i hate this. I would like to understand Ultron, for example: Looks like he is really there, in the real scene... Looks real, and not just a badly done model in the scene. Looks like he is really there. All the lights on him... How to do this realistic effect after importing a model to a real scene?? There's some specific tecnic i must study?
first!
They look nice to have but jesus 240 dollars if u where to buy all of them thats a lot of money, so for now i think im going to say no thanks, maybe down the line when i have used blender some more.
Whyyyyyyy do yoooooooou keep puuuuuulling letters???
Please, I am the author of the cover and I have no other way to contact you than through a comment. The name is wrong, my name is IACOPETTI and not LACOPETTI. And please add my artstation page.
why are you so hurry. keep your speed slow
seems like a lot of these 'add-on' videos are for promo purposes and 'affiliate links' that are paid. blender's becoming just a 'base' that's open source, but if anything productive is wanted, you have to spend 3 or 4 hundred dollars for 'add-ons' to get functionality that's optimized and useful to those who are new to it. good concept, but not so 'free and open source' anymore
great video as always, thank you for your efforts
