Having resurrected one car that sat for 18 years, and now resurrecting a car that hasn't run in 15 years, that is a project and a half. The two cars I have at least were in garages, but they both had issues with frozen parts, rusty gas tanks, corroded wiring connections, rusty brake hydraulics, dried out seals, more rust, dirty switch contacts, and it's a lot of work to bring them back to life. Did I mention the rust? If that's been outside exposed to the elements for 30 years, that's going to be a nightmare.

It’s very sad. There is a neighbor near us that has a Ford Jubilee tractor sitting in their yard with one flat tire rotting away. The wheels, the most sought after part on these old tractors, are in perfect shape. It looks complete and I bet it only needs a battery or points in the ignition system to run. Looks like it just stopped running and they gave up on it. I asked, offered them $1000, and they won’t sell it. Sad. I have a 1948 Ford 8n tractor that was sitting for 15 years because the rear wheels rotted out from calcium leaking out, and couldn’t find used ones at all, and new ones were way too expensive. Eventually found a parts tractor with a blown engine but good wheels and tires for $1200 and got the old tractor fixed up again
