Thank you for posting the original audio. For numerous reasons, I don't like when people post videos of themselves reading Martin Luther King Jr's Letter from a Birmingham Jail. One of the most profound things I had ever heard, is from MLK "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice". I tend to not be a person that listens to people just because they are a prominent figure, I filter out a lot of what people say or write (for better or worse). But something about MLK, what he says and how he speaks really strikes me deep.
My teacher gave me a full points for my analyzation on this Letter. I have never heard about this letter. I have been edified and enlightened by this letter. Not only intellectually but also physically and spiritually. This is one of the greatest letters I have ever read next to the Book of Mormon and Bible.
What is so great, did you hear one 'um', how about a purdy much? This is how you speak with full respect, Blessed are those who repeat the words of wisdom.
I remember this documentary where a formerly racist white man said a letter by Martin Luther King Jr broke his heart. I thought that was very moving and I think it was this letter. I’d like to think that these words continue to change people.
The speech is beyond reproach. It is a learning experience in itself. I turned on the closed captioning because sometimes I miss things. I wish I hadn't. They were so poorly done, they were a distraction. It is better to just look up the text.
Wow! This could've very well been written for our current situation which is a DAMN shame 60 years later! The clergy's response to this is astonishing as well!😳😡
No, His Master Jesus is The Only One Who holds that title. ALL POWER is in His Hands, of Whom Every knee MUST bow, and Every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Martin is truly a King in his own right, but Jesus is The KING of Kings and The LORD of Lords! However, no doubt he is indeed the Greatest American and man of the Millennial! I can only imagine how Great America and the entire world would be if he had been given the privilege to become our President and like minded men and women Governed our country. What a different and MUCH BETTER world we would be living in today! We definitely wouldn't be repeating the mistakes of the past as we are today. May God have mercy on our souls.✝️🙏

Nuisance are the people who wouldn’t allow for the God given rights of the “minorities”. Nuisance are the jurors who allow for a cop/person to kill another human being and set them free. The Bible says thou shall not kill, the constitution was only put in place for white Americans without Black Americans in mind.
@@tiffanylankford8408 I think there was a misunderstanding. I fully SUPPORT Dr. King's "nuisance"-ness, and am lamenting the whitewashed, defanged image that the people in power wanted to perpetuate so they could wag their fingers at minorities demanding their rights today for being "uncivil."
@@tiffanylankford8408the constitution is for the government not any color of people.
A great man...unbeleivable!
This is inspiring.
What a LETTER! Listened to on MLKJ Day 2021. How timely and eye-opening with 2020 vision...(pun intended.)
This is the one! 😔💕
Wow didn't know he recorded this. Thanks for the post!
I think it’s so interesting that some parts of his letter is cut out of the audio, because those parts are the most thought provoking
My teacher gave me a full points for my analyzation on this Letter. I have never heard about this letter. I have been edified and enlightened by this letter. Not only intellectually but also physically and spiritually. This is one of the greatest letters I have ever read next to the Book of Mormon and Bible.
Send me your analyzation
What is so great, did you hear one 'um', how about a purdy much? This is how you speak with full respect, Blessed are those who repeat the words of wisdom.
I remember this documentary where a formerly racist white man said a letter by Martin Luther King Jr broke his heart. I thought that was very moving and I think it was this letter. I’d like to think that these words continue to change people.
And the work continues. Justice for all.
Amen

More relevant than ever even on issues that aren't black related. Such a genius such a smart compassionate man. He will always be remembered
His speech made me a little emotional, especially when he mentioned what should be told to younger children.
The fact that this video has dislikes is disgusting.
140, against 3.9K likes. That's 0.036%, which should be a source of hope.
The speech is beyond reproach. It is a learning experience in itself. I turned on the closed captioning because sometimes I miss things. I wish I hadn't. They were so poorly done, they were a distraction. It is better to just look up the text.
There are some bits of the letter left out of this reading. Perhaps that's the reason for the dislikes? 🤔 I can only hope....
Agreed. Unfortunately, ignorance is pervasive. Thank you for posting this life-changing letter from the Rev Dr King.
The 140 dislikes are probably related to Bull Conner and his crooners.
Wow! This could've very well been written for our current situation which is a DAMN shame 60 years later! The clergy's response to this is astonishing as well!😳😡
Amen to that one of the best way to get my rethinking rethem inside 💠 Amen 🙏🌄🙏💟
Most powerful man to ever walk earth
Justin Elliott if only that were true.
