    I’m 17 and my mom usually shows me how to cook and I can cook but only when she’s there because I’m always asking her if this is is right way to do it. Today she went out and told me to cook dinner and I was kinda scared and not sure what to do so I’m really glad I found your video!! I was on the right track but wanted to make sure it was right

    CHICKEN SEASONING:
    Salt
    Pepper
    Pimento
    All purpose
    Paprika
    Browning
    *marinate for 30 minutes*
    Cooking:
    Vegetable oil
    Brown sugar
    Add chicken pieces
    Onion
    Garlic
    Rhyme
    Scotch Bonnet
    Water (just below the chicken)
    Cook slowly for 30 mins, stirring occasionally.

    Fastest way of doing brown chicken stew without jerking your chicken , a hard meat older chicken like a old layer would still need time to stew too get tender

    Good shortcut recipe but it might not have the depth of flavour that you get from slower cooking. Mamma's in Kentish Town, London made the best I've ever tasted. Served up with a fried plantain, callaloo and rice and peas.

    What is the browning sauce from the bottle?

      It's literally called browning sauce. Any regular grocery store would have it in the seasoning aisle. A brand that I see at Walmart or Safeway regularly is called "Kitchen Bouquet" with a yellow label.

      Most grocery stores carry it just look in the section that carries different ethnic products. Look in the Jamaican section of seasonings.

      It's like a gravy/sauce in a bottle will find it in any Asian/Caribbean food shop I prefer the Grace brand make

      Nope, we use the sugar as/instead of browning in Trini brown stew. It's not enough to make it sweet.

      I was taught by jamaicans…. Whilst in Jamaica. I wouldn’t have had any clue about adding sugar to oil if it wasn’t for my in laws recipe. Everyone cooks differently.
