It was doing quite well with those towels with the deep water cycle.

I have the Whirlpool 4955 and it sounds like this one while its washing, I always get good results.
The 4850 and 4955 are mechanically identical, so that explains the similar sound.
This machine works alright for what it is, really.
@@Smurdle450 Yes I'm finding out the just alright part! It gets laundry clean, but it's only 6 months old and the shift actuator or the board is already acting up. There's a grinding/clicking noise before it goes into the rinse cycle sometimes.
I recommend WTW4855 or WTW4955 over this ‘cause of the agitators.

Put in fabric softener and they will be soft!
Well it’s harder to do that in an impeller machine without a fabric softener dispenser (like this one). You have to put it in during the rinse cycle.
