    Anytime I open the washer lid, the water discontinued. Why is that? I have to push in the start button for continued filling of water. Still on sensing fill.
    BTW since you did not use detergent, is it put in at a particular time?

    My washer do not fill up to the level I am used to like witj the older models where you can select load level. Its on auto sensing fir water and rinse level and normal wash. It seems to fill up with the same quantity of water if its a small or larger load. Is this normal. It is still sitting on the sterofoam it came with in from the box. Can this be the cause? Maybe it needs to sit directly on the ground on its legs. Anyone has a comment or suggestion

    Kirk, those 15 shirts must be really clean by now!! Pole agitator on top of wash plate is just for show!!!! Agitator on my "new" Maytag actually does something, I hope.

    • @kirkrivas8172
      @kirkrivas8172  6 лет назад +2

      The pole will help keep clothes situated correctly, I hate when clothes get stretched over the wash plate during high speed spin. I feel it will damage the shape of the clothes.

    • @irwing654
      @irwing654 6 лет назад

      Kirk, from what I have read, the machines with no agitator are really, really tough on the clothes. But, lady I know that works in town has Samsung top loader that was replaced by recall. She's very happy with it, even though she's 4'11 1/2" tall and has to use a stool to get clothes out of washer. Her husband, who is over 6 feet tall, of course, trains horses for a living so his clothes are really dirty. She says that clothes come out of washer clean. I think she just sets it on auto fill and walks away.

    • @LlyleHunter
      @LlyleHunter 6 лет назад

      Actually when used with ample water the washplate base is much gentler on clothing than the traditional fins on an agititator. There's less snagging and the clothing moves over the humps instead of being beaten.

    • @irwing654
      @irwing654 6 лет назад

      Bruce, So I should replace my 575GW with a wash plate machine and my life will be nothing but happiness and joy??? Are former POTUS Obama and the DOE to blame for all of this?? • @irwing654
    @irwing654 6 лет назад

    Wow!! There's actually some water in the tub!! My old Maytag put in two cups of water and started washing!!!! I don't see any rollover, Kirk. Looks like the Speed Queen's washing action!

    • @LlyleHunter
      @LlyleHunter 6 лет назад +2

      Note that the rollover happens outwardly towards the sides of the take instead toward the agitator post. In he top loaders it's known as a blooming action instead of rollover due to the different direction. If you look closely you'll see that the entire load rotated at least every forty five seconds. Look at the green shirt, the yellow shirt and the light orange shirt. They were blooming freely even when the water was at eco level. The recent GE with a two stage agitator didn't accomplish that. Washplate machines without center post agitator style washers never accomplish blooming at this rate. That's why I think that these 3.8 machines from Whirlpool and Maytag machines could be game changers.

    • @irwing654
      @irwing654 6 лет назад +1

      Bruce, Interesting. The Maytag HE washer I had before the store took it back (and has yet to give me credit for it) did not have auto sensing for rinse. The pretty much useless Normal cycle did a spray rinse, I think. There was a knob for rinse choices for other cycles: 1 rinse (spray rinse), 2 rinses, 1 rinse w/fabric softener, 2 rinses w/fabric softener. The latter 3 rinses are deep rinses. So, this Whirlpool machine is different from the Maytag I had. Maytag has the 465 model that is smaller capacity like this one but I think it's exactly like the 565 I had, just smaller capacity. Still kicking myself for not getting 2017 Speed Queen but the price was $1,000+ out the door and I would have had to shlep to another city or town to buy it. Also, my "boss" didn't want to spend $1,000 for a washing machine, which is understandable. I think the Maytag commercial unit could be really great if they tweaked it a bit by adding a water level knob like the Speed Queen machines.

  • @irwing654
    @irwing654 6 лет назад +4

    Why is it beating the hell out of the clothes with no water in the tub????? Auto sensing is such a joke!!! Of course, front loaders are auto sensing only.

  • @chineeboy18
    @chineeboy18 5 лет назад +4

    The bloom action turn over looks really good in this washer. I know you've did a lot videos with washers similar to this before Kirk. I don't understand what's the top part of the agitator supposed to do if it's built to only turn in one direction independently of the lower agitator, when in this machine it's turn both ways as a singular unit?

    • @bucknut2000
      @bucknut2000 5 лет назад +1

      I think its just because thats what customer want. They probably program it to use more water and because the tub is more narrow the water levels will be higher so the fins probably assist on the deep water settings. u guess its kinda like a hybrid agitator but more gentle on the clothes.

    I think that Whirlpool should develop more machines with this washplate agitator design or better yet with a two stage top. I hope that in the next year Whirlpool updates their filling system. Imagine if while using this agitator the machine agitated as quickly as the Maytag Commercial home version. I think they'd lead for another decade or two. For this price this machine is a lot of washer.
