Built to order: the consumer knows what he/she is buying.
That's a good point! They do give more info. The motherboards and exact GPU variant does change from build to build apparently. 👍
Not only that. You literally pick everything. It just takes put one of the 2 things people say makes a pc "your pc". You either have to build it or have to select the parts.
the english word for he/she is "they" by the way, you're welcome
@@bofasofa9399 he/she is also an option
That's how I bought my alienware. My dad wouldnt let me build my own and I had to get a dell so I customized mine on the website. Only bloatware is dell support assist.
Edit: there are some more but it's for the drivers for rgb and overclock presets, and driver updater
Just because coffee is artisanal doesn't always mean it's good.
Learned that the hard way 😅
Haha!! For sure! 😁

I wouldn't say that the "Artisan" system is a rip, but you can definitely buy a better prebuilt for the same price. I just bought a Lenovo system with a Ryzen 5 2600x, RX 570 4gb, 16gb 3000mhz, built-in wifi/bt, included in a very clean 1st party Legion case for just barely over $700 after tax.
Oh wow! That is a decent price for all your getting. I'll see if I can check one of those out. 😃
It's the Legion T530 AMD variant. They're being discontinued, but I believe they can still be snagged up!
This is the closest I've found to it, but it's out of stock unfortunately =/

Dawid Does Tech Stuff I can find an old Z620 with a 12 core for about 300 USD and an RTX 2070 for 450 and I get a pc that roasts both

That's a nice looking pre-built pc. The editing is really on point man, congrats. (I really like how Anna is working on the background and doesn't care that you're filming lol)
One more advantage of the leet system is that since it is using standard ATX case and components, it is far easier to upgrade that system than it is for most volume manufactured prebuilts.
Great vid. I really enjoyed this one.

I agree on the H510. I have a 510i and it's on it's second MB. I love that case.
What's the length of that 1650? It's tiny
Very tiny 😅
The fact that they installed Firefox means they really know what they're doing, and this is honestly gonna be one of my new standards for prebuilts. Chrome sucks these days, plus Firefox cares about your privacy and security a lot more than Chrome.
Really? I used firefox for years, but now I find it slow AF and too easy for hackers t fuck with.
Firefox is shit.
It was good before Google made Chrome but after the release of Chrome Firefox was dying and don't evolve anymore.
Slow and trash
@@theoriginalKland
So my entire career has revolved around cyber security, and Firefox walks circles around Chrome in terms of security. In every test I've done, Firefox has been just as fast, if not faster, than Chrome. The real difference is when you have multiple tabs open. You can have about double the amount of Firefox tabs open than Chrome tabs. The optimization on Firefox is just better.
Google has gotten pretty lazy with Chrome, and I hate all the tracking they force on you. If you're okay with Google knowing everything about you, then go ahead and use Chrome. But if you're like me and prefer a browser that doesn't shamelessly spy on you, Firefox is the way to go.
@@TheMythicalAce Really? I work with more than a dozen tabs open in Chrome and see no difference in performance.
And everytime I see someone complaining of slow internet and/or PC, they typically use firefox.
I've tried to go back to firefox, but it's slow AF for a lot of web based stuff.
@@Drannos99 You clearly haven't used Firefox in a very long time.....
Great video as always!!
Thank you very much. 😃
Now, THIS is what a GOOD pre-built look like.
I swear u got the only intro I don’t skip
Really digging the new haircut! Keep up the good work!
it's just amazing how well the RX570 and RX580 hold up till this day! 1080p is still the most popular resolution for gaming and these little beasts nevre fail to deliver
because you dont need more then 1080p, ok if you want to enjoy a game and get everything out of the graphic then go in 4k or higher but do not lower the graphic then because increase resulotion to have better graphic but decrease the graphic itself is brainless. But there is a reason why Kompetetive gamers are playing on 1080p monitors and not on 1440p or 4k because of the refreshrate of the monitors.
I also agree to your cable management stance, spaghetti explosion
How do you say "Fragging dem noobs" without bursting into laughter😂🤣
That's a really clean build and decently balanced for 1080p AA medium-high settings and at that price, it's a good deal!
Good show. Hey if ya can get your hands on a E-ATX board install that in the Acer.
Reminds me of my Skytech. Its a prebuilt and it is amazing. Ryzen 5 2600 w/ stock cooler GTX 1660 Super 16 Gb RAM and a Rosewill case. My only beef is the MOBO and the fans which are pretty loud when barely turned up.
Would be cool to see a thrid video where you compare a custom built pc at the same budget to these two.
Sure, some people still use firefox if they care more about privacy and are against googles monopoly 😉
This
That's a great point. I was really just joking though. 👍
@@soundwavesuperior6761 There are quite a few android phones that have the Google stuff stripped out or you can loan Linage OS etc.
your browser isn’t the only thing that’s gonna invade your privacy, it really doesn’t matter. your soooooo cool for being against a big company.
@@richardchantlerrico Android itself is Google. To absolutely garauntee no tracking you essentially would have to use Lineage or a similar third party OS (or an Apple device lol) and use a VPN and never use any google or any big company website stuff again.
It's all somewhat of an inevitability somewhere until the day arrives where the US government bans tracking for US companies ( and LOL GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. )
I think you'd be really impressed with CyberPowerPC pre-builts as they come very similar to this one for a great price for what you get imo.
I LOVE your humour Dawid!

@@DawidDoesTechStuff Me Too, always a joy to see the DDTS Notification, although I'm a bit different to most I watch my favourites last, I suffer from depression & the laughs I get from your videos help me through the day 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰, love to you, Anna & Neko 🧔👱♀️😺
I’m really glad I decided to build my own. Spent a total of $775 got an XFX 5700xt Thicc, a 10400f, 16gb ram, 850w psu, 2tb WD black HDD
I sold a PC last month with those same exact specs (granted it was in a aerocool case) for $550, it cost $475 to build back in February. It would probably cost closer to $600 to build right now with prices being screwed up like they are though
I have built PCs all my life, but the last time I needed a new machine I bought a nitro 50.
And after removing the pre-installed crap, it's a decent machine and cost me less than if I bought the parts.
I love that you actually benchmarked games with sights to see, like Farcry and Battlefield, at high visual settings, while sticking to the realistic minimum settings for something like CSGO where frames are all that matter.
Edit: Hold on a second, on their website that specific PC says it's using a Ryzen 3 1200AF, which is 4 core/8 thread and way lower performing than the 9400F...
Thank you for telling me for 1337 PC, I now know what PC I will buy thanks to you
If you’re on a budget don’t bother the cheapest one there doesn’t even got a graphics card and it’s like 630
@6:52 " some Acer crap" 🤣🤣🤣 I had to back and look at that again
I did built to order, knew exactly what I was getting and I was not let down
Love to see it
I've been looking for an upgrade for my so-so black friday prebuilt, and this seems like a point in the right direction! Thank you :)
However, if someone has a built-to-order budget build around $1000 I wouldn't mind any suggestions!
I checked out the nzxt site and I do like the fact it says it's a starter pc. It's like I'm about to start on a magical adventure in the world of pc building full of tribulation and elations.
Felt so surreal seeing a tech reviewer use the Shizuku Edition of CDM until I saw the subtitles telling me you just pulled the WD Blue benchmark from online lol
Takes dremel to Acer.
Acer: "Just what do you think you're doing Dawid?"
I discovered long ago that if you want a mass-produced machine that is actually quite decent in both hardware and software, the higher-tier office-workstation pc's are the way to go.
They are often well-build and low-profile (no flashy lights or sticking-out plastic bits) since they are for the office environment, and they rarely include any bloatware (aside from the free-trial virus-scanner that you can uninstall in 5min time), probably because they know companies are brand-loyal, so they don't want to scare them away with bloated software.
Ofcourse if you have the option of built to order from a well-reviewed / trusted builder, I would certainly recommend it, but if that option isn't there or you just want an off-the-shelf pc, what I typed above would, in my experience, be your best bet.
:)))) love you ur channel is great
Thank you so much. 😁
@@DawidDoesTechStuff 🔥
Do they let you upgrade the parts without voiding the warranty on the whole system besides the parts you replace? Like that power supply.
I want to build my own. But unable due to where I live.
Love the cd drive joke
It's all jokes until you buy a piece of hardware that requires one because it's the only way to load the drivers for it.
@@Hless421 So you buy your hardware in 2005?
That NZXT is the same case that I used to build my pc, super easy to hide cables. I would reccomend
do you reccomend getting the wificard option when ordering it, and if so what does it do?
Can you do a budget build including the only thing that doesn’t comply with the word budget... an rtx 2080ti and at least 16 gigs of ram. And see how it works.
"Does anyone still use firefox?"
Got me hurtin' bro
I mean... firefox is old dont you think?
@@whyers4782 new firefox gets updated every week and is amazing
Yeah monitor refresh rate, the first thing I check on a computer that is not mine. Always hated coming to a friends place and the first thing I saw was their CRT monitor flickering.
This is a pretty broad generalization. I've seen varying quality of Pre-Builts. The crap you reviewed in that Acer Nitro is the lower tier, but there are better ones like MicroCenter's PowerSpec series that are actually built correctly. Kind of a shame that we don't see those up here in Canada.
The Acer monobrow... lol. Can't wait for the dremmel to Hal.
Love the pc vids
There's nothing like building it yourself and finding great deals. There companies go by MSRP in which sometimes can be over 100's of dollars more.
As a coffee lover, i loved the comparison but twitched at the very mention of Nescafe instant o.O Great video as always Dawid - Here in Scotland we have some great artisan coffee shops...which ofc atm are closed (I've said hello on some of your streams but I have a different name on there!). It's actually my times in Sweden that awakened my love of coffee though. On a side note, just a few days ago I put together such a build for a friend of mine over in the US from a built-to-order local place. She seemed happy with the build i suggested so I'm a happy bee.
That's so cool! Thank you for the nice comment! It's a shame that all the coffee shops are closed. Do you have a coffee machine so you can get your fix? 😁
It's great that you built your friend a PC. I think if more people did that we wouldn't need prebuilts.
@@DawidDoesTechStuff I do infact, I have a Tassimo machine (I don't know if you have those over yonder!) Yea, she liked the build, she has it already, though like a British dolt i forgot sales tax so i went over budget. Woops!
The Nitro 50 looks nice and promising
Bro I see you everywhere wow
I got the nzxt h510 and I love the clean look but the heat... 2 intakes 2 exhaust after installing 212 evo on my r3600 temps went down great. However the xfx 570 8 gig if I oc even slightly it hits 83c
I just bought myself a modest little pre-built machine. It just has a little Ryzen 17 3.14159xV1 CPU, an AMD 13,690xt GPU, 7,000 watt PSU and the 3.14159v2 motherboard to complete the other components. I also went with the Home Depot cooling system for it, because I figured an industrial fan would keep it under 5,700 Kelvins. I mean, I really don't want the heat of the sun to tear up my GPU or anything..I just want to do some 27k gaming on my 699mhz 27k ACER Monitor. I know it doesn't sound that great or anything, but should be able to get 700FPS with it. Hopefully, this modest build will give me the edge I need to be an "Alpha Protocol Pro". The scene is intense, so I really don't know if I have what ittakes, but wish me luck, man...
Isn't it a ryzen 3 3100 now? is it the same thing? which one is better for gaming ryzen 3 3100 or intel i3 10100
I’m a fan of my MSI laptops...I always add more RAM and storage...then reformat with a fresh Windows install and manufacturer drivers instead of the bundled drivers. Not for everyone, but doesn’t bother me.
Where did you get the exact same build-to-order PC? I follow this link: 1337pcs.com/? and I was not able to find the same configuration/specs PC as the one you showed in this video.
I use firefox and comodo ice dragon cause chrome was giving me a 'non responding' error many times and hour and would freeze up. i tried 'Brave' another chromium based browser and that did same thing. So I use non-chromium based browsers. My computer overall works better, doesnt crash nearly as much as it had been.
i have the acer nitro and it works just fine
when will the "dissection" Of the ACER Nitro video will come? ( yes i bought one and whish to replace the psu).
By the way Dawid. The '1337' is from the early to mid 00's. It's number terminology for the world 'leet', which is slang for 'elite'. It was used in a lot of FPS online games back then like Counter Strike 1.6 and Unreal 2004 and BF2 and such. Just in case you were curious.
“Do people still use this?”
Yes. Anyone who cares about their privacy use Firefox.
Yes , I am using from around 9 yrs.. All linux distros pretty much come with firefox..
But as in this video talking about bloatware pre-installed on mass produced pc and this pre-build came with firefox its fine to consider it as bloat.
Linux users(atleast me) watching this vid might be like "manual for configuring stuff in windows ? thats ok but whose gonna use windows?".
You can tell Dawid only knows surface level stuff because of that statement lol
He is always like this with shit. Like when he craps on systems with DVD drives, like having one is a bad thing. He just cannot seem to understand there is a best of both worlds option by having a physical drive and digital.
Really? The last time I used it it was full of holes, bloat and was slow AF.
Anyone who truly cares about their privacy use duckduckgo as it's more secure, doesn't record any search history 😳😏 and automatically blocks ads
With the artisanal build, I would’ve assumed you built that. It doesn’t look like oem crap. I enjoy taking old dell desktops and just beating fronts until the shitty plastic comes off and then giving them good air flow.and taking the cpu heat sink and combining it with other stock heatsinks and adding additional copper to it.
I bought the NZXT Prebuilt and I never regretted it.
That firefox is probably buddy at the factory grabbing the drivers.
Lmao the crap pre build was my first pc 😂, glad I build myself a new one
Btw just wondering does it only run 1 monitor?
Idk the newest nitro with an i7 is actually very good for comp
I have no interest in building or buying a computer but I like your channel 😁😁😁
Huh.. I thought there would be a bigger difference in the 1 and 0.1 % lows. The Acer one should have rather long load times though.
The DVD player is the best thing ever
Hi, David. Could u do a video about choosing a cooling device for processor. Cause i wanna buy a AMD Ryzen 7 3800X and i don't really understand how to choose a cooler, or is it necessary to buy a water cooling system. I watched a bunch of RUclips videos but in one video says that TDP is usefull in other says that TDP is useless.
if your case has room for it buy a huge noctua and it will follow you for many years.best and cheapest long term
If you dont hav the money for a huge beefy noctua just get the hyper 212 from cooler master. Works well enough.
Dawid: thirteen thirty seven
Me: leet
They should've left the fans in default position for the 510
I did also think that. I filmed me saying that, but I forgot to put it in the final video. 😅
Take a shot every time he says "artisanal"
That's a dangerous game. 😁
I added another scoop of Instant to my home made coffee everytime he said it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣☕🥴
You see the ACER Nitro focused on the most popular games out there and it runs super fantastisch high settings at 1080P..
Mozila is super light so yes we do use it!!
Sick haircut bro
did they change the1337 Pre-built?
now has a 1200af or an i3 9100f as your two options,
and there is no other prebuilt on their website with the 1600af.
(price is basically the same too) that;s a bummer, i wanted to try and score one,
Did 1337 die? The link takes me to a sign up for a notification when we open the page but all of the graphic assets and social media buttons are blank.
I think you can get a decent pre-build, but just be ready to pay a higher price. I mean depending on the additional items you're doing, such as water cooling, a decent pre-build will probably cost you about $200-300 in addition to the parts pricing. And a good pre-build will use quality components (some you can pick out yourself -- or in some cases, you choose all the components and just pay someone to do it) and have good organization (ie. wires).
nani?! A good prebuilt?!
Sugoi!
Whoa there Dawid, since when is the 1600 AF better than 9400F in a gaming machine?
Ahhh, the old Bud Light vs Craft Beer
The 1337 domain in the link isn’t a thing/ doesn’t exist?
I wish I had a NZXT H510, that’s the only thing I’d need to upgrade on my PC.
Why would they not use the cable routing shroud built into this case?
I bought a corsair vengeance pre built and it's a tank people its pretty nice
The most important aspect of the Acer is it being at Best Buy on the shelf. You can buy it and have it home today, and you can take it back to Best Buy if something is amiss. There will always be a market for that even if not the best value. That being said, I've never understood why Microsoft gives such prebuild companies them cheap/free windows installs when they know they will load them up with bloatware and make the windows experience bad.

+5:24 Speaking from 2023 Yes I still use Firefox, just a bit less often, some things work on it better and it has a few useful features and it doesn't have the memory sink issues or slower than knackered car made in 1947 issue some other browsers have.
To be honest it's perfectly fine to use and better than some I have installed (as in better than most to be honest)
