I think if anything he shows a great amount of self-control. He doesn't need to fight to be the tough guy. There's a reason why other guys feel the need to fight. They are simply not as composed or as comfortable in themselves as Kaleta is. Kaleta spent a good half of the season up in Buffalo and only drew TWO penalties and one of them was a completely ubsurd call. He's smart, smart, smart.
see the thing is what most people dont see after the big hits is kaleta gets back up and plays hard. mean while the player he just level sits there all pissed off. he never stops moving. he is always going after the puck and if he catches you with your head down. then your going to get knocked down on the ice. he is a smart player. you might hate em cuz he doesnt fight but we love him because he is a great team player.
@JerOutlaw i see that even though kaleta is putting up some decent numbers and playing special teams now, u went back on ur "if he actually scored and could do other things my opinion would change but he is just like boogard, janssen, etc. only serves one purpose and nothing else" comment. Obviously he serves an exponentially larger role than boogaard or janssen. Cheers.
@JerOutlaw last season in 55 games he had 10g, was a +2, played on the penalty kill all yr, and had 2 short handed goals along with 4 game winning goals. Pretty good for a "one trick poney". But i guess somehow that's not "contributing" in ur view of hockey. You must be one of those people who thinks if u don't score 20gls a year that ur somehow not an asset to the team. Don't worry, there are many just like u buddy. Cheers.
@JerOutlaw Yea i thought u were 1 of those people who thought that if ur not playing 16min a game on the first or second line u have no place on the team. A lot of people don't know the parts that make up a full hockey team and the different roles played. It's okay, ur far from the only person who think that way. Maybe one day ...maybe one day. Peace.
another "dirty" hit that magically got no penalty on the play even tho the refs were all watching it right?......u hate him because he hits and suckers people into penalties period.
haha u dont even know who i am... anyways i just didnt like how he turtled when someone his own size lined up against him. but ya he does draw penalties all the time i just think its kinda gay... just play the fuckin game
Kaleta is a badass...local boy is gonna be a fan favorite with the Sabres in no time.
I'm glad he's with Buffalo...he's a sick hitter!

kaleta is very smart, he doesnt get a penalty but draws them all the time. Go SABRES!!
I call him Kaleta Kollision or Trick... Patrick, get it! If only he scored more goals we could call him Hatrick Kaleta.

i believe it was marc.
@JerOutlaw nothing. He's still far from a "one trick pony" though lol. Which was what this whole conversation was about.

pretty sure it's marc.
@Gamastar1 i think u meant that for someone else.

@JerOutlaw and ur still obviously wrong.
