18/9/2020 Jimi you left us 50 long years ago today. You will always be regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music
music, and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century.

its does really suck that greed of a dollar would keep most Hendrix originals from being on youtube... I get theres money deserved for it some how but he died with not much money to his name to be so legendry... so now its just people riding his amazing gift for a dollar... all Hendrix music should just be free for the anyone to discover.. its just too important not to be..its not about wanting something for nothing its about discovery and the best way to do that is to make it easly discoverable..great cover none the less

and I'm not saying that like I want or need it i've spent a lot of money buying content of Hendrix and have it... I mean more for some kid just surfing youtube.. that's heard the name some where but didn't fall down the rabbit hole yet... that might have their life changed in a way that influences them to be the next great note in the cosmic wave

I'm from Italy and im 24. I spent all my high school years listening to Jimi's music. Felt so intimately connected to this music that right now to me it seems to so painful to listen to it. Cause of the hidden and lost beauty of the past times and memories it brings back. The love, friendships, days are gone but Jimi never will. That days are just 6-7 years ago... and Im afraid the pain will keep growing but also my love for Jimi even just listening to his solos in my mind. But: i grew up with the original records on youtube. Justice must be made. Bring Jimi back on YT

Was planned but accidentally sharp and then reverted or was it some ambitious improv that went off and u kept goin cuz trynna get it all on same take (respect) so in your head your like "just nailed most of it, gotta see it through"?

After all jacks are in their boxes
And the clowns have all gone to bed
You can hear happiness staggering on down the street
    Footprints dressed in red
    And the wind whispers Mary
    A broom is drearily sweeping
Up the broken pieces of yesterday's life
    Somewhere a queen is weeping
Somewhere a king has no wife
And the wind, it cries Mary
The traffic lights they turn a blue tomorrow
And shine their emptiness down on my bed
    The tiny island sags downstream
'Cause the life that they lived is dead
    And the wind screams Mary
    Will the wind ever remember?
The names it has blown in the past
And with its crutch, its old age and its wisdom
It whispers "no, this will be the last"
    And the wind cries Mary

    There's no turning round
I'm on a train straight to the underground
    I've been crowned
    King of nothing
So I sing to the wind
    The fire in my soul
    Rages on
    In the shadows I stand
Drifting away in my own wonderland
    Yeah
I've been standing on my own
    No place to call home
    So I close my eyes
    And dream of paradise
It's the only way I can fly
    Lost in a haze
I pray the Lord helps me find my way
    Lost in a stolen paradise
    Help from the white man
Makes the red man think twice
    With genocide and pain
    Still fresh in the mind
    Don't tell me it's alright
I can still hear the world cry
Maybe all we need is sweet maryjane
And maybe then all the problems will float away

Jimi never, ever, played this song the same way twice - he varied his fills, he discovered new interpretations and meanings which is what every artist hopes to achieve: people looking at his work objectively and without criticism, looking for the meanings of his works.

I appreciate finding this hard to find instrumental version of "The Wind Cries Mary," by legendary friend, relative, and former neighbor, Jimi Hendrix, hailing from Seattle, Washington (PN\/\/). Call me "Casey Jones," right, Rome? Riiiiiight...
